Achy Wijaya woke up one morning to find his beloved dog in a sorry state in the garden. The night before, Achy had heard the dog barking loudly, but he paid no attention, thinking he had simply seen a cat.
Unbeknownst to the family, a group of burglars was trying to break into their home during the night. The dog’s insistent barking was the only warning they had.
The barking suddenly stopped and tragically, in the morning, the dog was found near death, lying in its own vomit which suggested it had been poisoned.
The family made desperate efforts to save their pet, offering him milk, oil, and coconut milk, but the dog was too weak and sadly passed away.
