So Lovely! Lala is Sad Because It’s Raining Heavily So She Can’t Go Out with Bon

Lala had been looking forward to this day all week. She had been counting the days on her little pink calendar with stars and stickers. “Friday—Bon and I will go to the park,” she wrote in big, bubbly letters. She even drew a big sun above it, hoping the weather would be as bright as her excitement. But life doesn’t always follow plans, and sometimes the sky has its own agenda.

That morning, Lala woke up early. She brushed her shiny brown hair, put on her favorite yellow dress with sunflowers, and packed a small snack in her backpack—banana chips, juice, and two cookies to share with Bon. She also brought a small toy camera to capture their fun moments. Everything was ready.

Then… boom! A loud crack of thunder echoed across the sky. Lala’s smile began to fade.

She ran to the window and pulled the curtain back. Raindrops were splashing like tiny dancers on the glass. The sky was dark and moody, and puddles were already forming in the yard. Her heart sank.

“No… not today,” Lala whispered, her voice filled with disappointment.

She stood by the window for a long time, watching the rain fall steadily. Her mom came into the room, saw her daughter’s sad face, and gently asked, “What’s wrong, sweetheart?”

“It’s raining,” Lala replied, her eyes glued to the stormy clouds. “I can’t go to the park with Bon. We planned everything.”

Her mom knelt beside her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. “I know you were excited. But the rain is just being a little selfish today. Maybe it has its own plans.”

“But it’s not fair,” Lala sniffled. “Bon and I wanted to climb the big tree, feed the ducks, and take pictures. Now we can’t do anything.”

Outside, the thunder grumbled again, as if the sky was agreeing with her mood.

Bon, her best friend, had also been excited. They had talked all week about the trip to the park—the games they’d play, the flowers they’d pick, and how they’d lie on the grass and watch clouds float by. Bon had even promised to bring his bubble wand, which could make huge bubbles the size of balloons.

Lala sighed and sat on the couch. She hugged her backpack tightly, still dressed for the adventure that had been washed away.

A few minutes later, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Bon:

“Hi Lala 🌧 I’m so sad too. I wish we could go! I miss you already!”

Lala smiled a little. It was comforting to know Bon felt the same. She quickly typed back:

“Me too. I wish I could fly to your house and bring sunshine with me.”

Bon replied:

“Let’s do something fun at home? Maybe video call? We can still play!”

Lala’s eyes lit up. “That’s a great idea!”

She grabbed her tablet and called Bon. Within seconds, Bon’s cheerful face appeared on the screen. He was wearing his raincoat indoors, pretending to be a weather reporter.

“Breaking news!” Bon said in a dramatic voice. “Rain is attacking fun plans across the world, but two brave heroes—Lala and Bon—are fighting back with smiles and silliness!”

Lala giggled, feeling her sadness slowly melt away.

They spent the next hour playing games over video chat. They both made sock puppets—Lala’s was a princess with a crown made of foil, and Bon’s was a knight with a spoon for a sword. They acted out a silly story about the puppets going on a treasure hunt inside a giant washing machine

Then, Bon suggested, “Let’s draw our perfect sunny day and show each other.”

Lala loved drawing. She grabbed her crayons and paper and started sketching a beautiful park with big green trees, bright sun, birds in the sky, and two smiling kids—herself and Bon—playing on a swing.

When she showed her drawing to Bon, his eyes sparkled. “That’s so nice! Look, mine has us flying kites!”

Together, they imagined themselves in those sunny scenes. The rain no longer mattered. Their creativity and friendship were like sunshine breaking through the clouds.

Later in the afternoon, the rain started to slow down. The thunder stopped growling, and the sky lightened just a bit.

Lala’s mom brought her a cup of warm cocoa and sat beside her again. “Feeling better now?” she asked.

Lala nodded. “Bon and I had fun anyway. We made stories, drew pictures, and even had a puppet show.”

Her mom smiled. “That’s the magic of friendship, sweetie. It finds ways to shine, even when the sky is gray.”

Just then, another message popped up from Bon:
“Next sunny day, it’s the park for sure! Rain can’t stop us forever ☀️💪”

Lala replied with a big smile:
“Yes!! Let’s make it even more special. I’ll bring extra cookies!”

As the day came to an end, Lala no longer felt upset. She put away her backpack but left her drawing on the table. It reminded her that fun isn’t just about where you are—it’s about who you share it with, and how you choose to feel, even when things don’t go as planned.

She climbed into bed, hugging her stuffed bunny, and whispered to the dark sky outside, “Goodnight rain. Maybe next time, you can come after the park day.”

And with that, Lala drifted off to sleep, dreaming of sunshine, bubbles, and laughter with Bon.

So lovely, indeed.
