CUTIS, Baby Monkey Funny Wants to Go Along 😂

Morning sunlight filtered through the canopy of leaves, painting the forest floor with little patches of gold. Birds chirped, the air smelled fresh, and everything seemed calm—except for one tiny, energetic creature who was already causing chaos before the day had even begun.

His name was Cutis, the mischievous baby monkey everyone in the troop adored… and sometimes feared. Small, fluffy, and endlessly curious, Cutis had one special talent: he always wanted to go along, no matter where anyone was going.

Whether it was the mothers looking for fruit, the older monkeys climbing trees, or even the grumpy males roaming around—Cutis believed every activity, every adventure, and every journey absolutely required his presence. And if they didn’t take him, he made sure to force his way in with his signature move: wide, sparkling eyes and a dramatic pout.

This morning would be no different.

Mama Sami was preparing to climb down the tree to gather breakfast. She stretched her arms, shook her tail, and glanced back at Cutis, who was busy rolling on a big leaf, pretending to attack it like it was a giant monster.

“Cutis,” she called softly. “Stay with Grandma. I’ll be back soon.”

But Cutis froze. His ears perked up. His eyes widened dramatically.

No. Absolutely not.
Mama going alone? Leaving him behind?

Not today.

He bounced up, ran in front of her, spread out his tiny arms, and squeaked loudly, as if saying:

“I go! I go! I go too! Take me! Take me!”

Mama sighed. Here we go again.

“Cutis,” she said patiently, “it’s dangerous down there. You stay.”

But Cutis wasn’t listening. Instead, he climbed onto her leg like a little koala, clinging so tightly that she could barely walk. Every time she tried to put him down, he tightened his grip even more—his eyes filled with determination and a touch of adorable stubbornness.

Grandma Monkey, sitting nearby, burst out laughing. “Just take him! Or he’ll scream so loudly the whole forest will come check what happened!”

Cutis puffed his chest proudly, as if he understood everything.

Mama shook her head and muttered, “Fine. But behave.”

Cutis responded by giving her cheek a big baby monkey kiss, then bouncing excitedly onto her back like he had just won a prize.

On the ground, the troop was moving toward the bushes to look for ripe fruits. Cutis sat on Mama’s back at first… but his curiosity didn’t stay still for long.

The moment he spotted some older monkeys leaping across branches, he squealed and jumped off, running after them on his tiny legs.

“CUTIS! Slow down!” Mama yelled.

But Cutis acted like he had suddenly gone deaf. He climbed one branch, slipped, caught himself, then climbed another, all while giggling like the happiest creature alive.

The older monkeys paused. They looked down at him.

“Oh no… he’s following us again,” one groaned playfully.

“Run!” another joked.

They leapt to the next tree.

Cutis tried to leap too.

He didn’t make it.

He landed face-first into a pile of leaves, rolled three times, then sat up covered in sticks and dust. Instead of crying, he burst into laughter, shaking his tiny body as if it was the funniest accident of his life.

After recovering from his leaf-crash, Cutis wandered toward the fruit bushes. He saw a group of mother monkeys carrying their babies.

Baby monkeys were riding peacefully.

Cutis wanted to ride too.

So he marched toward a random mother, climbed her tail like a ladder, and sat proudly on her back.

The mother froze.

“Cutis… where is your Mama?” she asked, confused.

Cutis hugged her neck as if she belonged to him.

“No, no, no,” she said with a sigh. “You can’t go with me. Go find your Mama.”

But Cutis refused. He wrapped his arms tighter and shook his head dramatically.

All the monkeys nearby laughed.

“He wants to go along with everyone today!”

“He thinks every mother is his mother!”

“He’s collecting rides like bus tickets!”

Mama arrived just in time and pulled him back, but Cutis protested loudly, shaking his arms like a little king being removed from his throne.

When the troop moved deeper to find water, Cutis’ determination grew even stronger. Water time was his favorite because he loved splashing everyone—even the big males.

But Mama tried to stop him.

“Cutis, you’re going to get muddy again.”

Cutis tilted his head…
Made a cute face…
Touched her cheek gently…
Then ran full speed toward the stream.

He jumped in with zero hesitation.

SPLASH!

Water flew everywhere.

He spun in circles, kicking his legs, spraying water on every monkey nearby. Some laughed. Some moved away. One grumpy male glared at him, but Cutis, without fear, splashed him directly in the face.

The male froze.

The troop froze.

Even the birds froze.

Then—surprisingly—the male cracked a small smile and flicked water back at Cutis.

Cutis screamed with joy and splashed him even harder.

Instead of getting angry, the big male let him play. The others stared in disbelief.

“No one in this troop can resist that baby,” Grandma said, shaking her head proudly.

After water play, it was time to move to the tall trees where the troop usually rested. The forest was wide, and everyone walked quietly—except Cutis.

He kept switching rides.

First Mama.
Then Grandma.
Then Auntie Monkey.
Then the big male again.
Then a sleeping mother who woke up startled when she felt tiny hands pulling her fur.

Cutis was like a tiny tourist on a world tour.

Every monkey he climbed looked at Mama as if asking, “Why is your child like this?”

Mama just sighed and said, “He wants to go along with EVERYONE today.”

Finally, when the troop reached the resting branches, Cutis was still full of energy. He climbed up and down, pulled tails, stole fruit, poked sleeping monkeys, and tried to grab a butterfly.

The butterfly kept escaping.

Cutis kept chasing.

He slipped twice, crashed once, and nearly fell into Mama’s lap, but every time he laughed louder.

Then came the funniest moment of the day.

Mama stood up to go relieve herself behind a tree.

Cutis noticed.

His eyes widened.

His entire body vibrated.

He sprinted toward her so fast he tripped over his own feet, rolled, hit a log, stood back up, ran again, and threw himself into her arms.

Everyone burst into laughter.

“CUTIS JUST CAN’T LET MAMA GO ANYWHERE!”

“He wants to go along even to the bathroom!”

Cutis squeaked proudly and hugged Mama like a baby koala.

As the sun began to set, Cutis finally grew tired. His eyes drooped, his body slowed, and he curled up on Mama’s chest.

Mama stroked his tiny head. “You followed everyone today… even people who didn’t want you to.”

Cutis yawned loudly and snuggled closer.

The troop watched with warm smiles.

Even though he caused chaos, trouble, and endless confusion, one thing was clear:

Cutis’ funny little heart made the whole forest feel alive.

Wherever the troop went…

Whatever they did…

Cutis always wanted to go along—
and honestly, they wouldn’t have it any other way. 😂🐒💞
