Lala, a sweet little golden dog with fluffy ears and bright, curious eyes, had always been a bit shy around strangers and loud noises. She loved her cozy corner by the window at home, where she could watch birds fly by and children laugh on their way to school. But more than anything, Lala loved spending time with Thuy—her kind and gentle human who always seemed to understand her.
Thuy worked from home most days, so Lala had grown used to the soft clatter of a keyboard and the comforting sound of Thuy’s voice during meetings. But on days when the sky was bright blue and the sun poured through the curtains, something special would happen—Thuy would gently take Lala’s leash, kneel beside her, and say in a cheerful voice, “Let’s go to the park, Lala!”
The word park made Lala’s tail wag like a little motor. She would bounce excitedly, circling Thuy as she clipped on the leash. It wasn’t just the open space or the scent of flowers and grass that thrilled her—it was the joy of being with Thuy, out in the world, exploring together.
As they stepped outside, Lala would feel a small flutter of nervousness. The outside world was bigger and noisier than her safe little room. Cars honked, bicycles zoomed by, and other dogs barked from across the street. But whenever Lala looked up at Thuy, she saw calmness and care in her eyes. That alone gave her courage.
Their walk to the park was a gentle adventure. Thuy always walked at Lala’s pace, allowing her time to sniff a tree, examine a patch of grass, or pause and tilt her head at a passing butterfly. Sometimes children would stop and ask, “Can we pet her?” Thuy always looked at Lala first and only said yes if Lala wagged her tail. That small act made Lala feel respected and safe.

When they arrived at the park, a wave of peacefulness washed over Lala. The air smelled like blooming flowers, fresh-cut grass, and sometimes, delicious treats from a food cart nearby. Birds chirped in the trees, and squirrels darted playfully between the bushes. Everything felt alive, but not overwhelming. It was a perfect place for a little dog like Lala.
Thuy would find a shady spot under a tall tree and sit down, letting Lala explore the area around them. Sometimes they played fetch with a soft toy, or Thuy would gently brush Lala’s fur while humming a tune. The sound of Thuy’s voice, even when she wasn’t speaking directly to Lala, filled the park with comfort. Every laugh, every soft whisper, made Lala feel she was the most loved dog in the world.
One special afternoon, Thuy brought along a new surprise—a small picnic mat and a little treat box filled with goodies for both of them. There were fresh apple slices for Thuy, and peanut butter biscuits for Lala. They sat together, sharing their snacks and watching the clouds drift across the sky.
As they rested, Lala gently rested her head on Thuy’s leg. It was her way of saying, “I love being here with you.” Thuy stroked her ears and whispered, “I love being with you too, Lala.” In that simple exchange, a deep bond was reaffirmed—one built on trust, kindness, and countless little shared moments.

Other dogs ran and played nearby, but Lala didn’t mind staying close to Thuy. She knew she could join them anytime, but she felt most at peace with her favorite person by her side. Even when she did run to chase a butterfly or sniff at a tree, she always looked back to make sure Thuy was still there.
One day, while walking through the park, Lala noticed something unusual—a small puppy tangled in a bush. The poor little pup looked scared and confused. Without hesitation, Lala barked softly and nudged Thuy’s hand. Thuy followed Lala’s gaze and quickly came to the puppy’s aid. Gently, she helped untangle the tiny dog and gave it some water from her bottle.
The puppy wagged its tail, and Lala, feeling brave, walked over and gave it a reassuring nuzzle. Thuy smiled and said, “You’re such a good girl, Lala.” That day, not only did Lala feel happy, but she also felt proud. The park had become a place of comfort not just for her, but now for others, too.

As the seasons changed, the park transformed with it. In spring, flowers bloomed in every shade imaginable. In summer, the trees offered cool shade and gentle breezes. Autumn turned the leaves golden and crunchy, perfect for Lala to leap through. Even in winter, when snow dusted the ground, Thuy still bundled up and took Lala for short walks, making sure she had warm booties on her little paws.
No matter the weather, Lala’s joy was always the same. It wasn’t just the park she loved—it was the feeling of togetherness. With Thuy, every trip felt like an adventure, every moment like a warm hug.
At home, Lala would sometimes sit by the door, her leash beside her, looking up at Thuy with hopeful eyes. And most of the time, Thuy understood.
“Shall we go to the park?” she’d ask.
Lala’s ears would perk up, her tail would wag, and off they’d go once more—two best friends enjoying the beauty of a simple walk in the park, where every tree, every breeze, and every shared smile made the world feel just right.
Because for Lala, there was no greater comfort, no deeper happiness, than being with Thuy in the place they both loved most.
