The morning sun poured softly through the open window of the little countryside house, lighting up the cheerful chaos inside. CUTIS was already awake, tiptoeing across the floor with a grin on his face, while his pregnant Mom still rested on the couch. The baby monkey, meanwhile, was curled up on a small blanket beside her, snoring softly after staying up too late playing with his toy banana.
CUTIS stood there quietly, hands behind his back, eyes sparkling with a secret plan. He had thought about it all night long—the perfect idea to make Mom and the baby monkey super happy. But this time, it was going to be a surprise. No one could know until the very last moment.
The Secret Plan

Mom had been feeling tired lately. Her belly was growing big, and CUTIS noticed she sometimes sighed softly after walking around or cooking. The baby monkey, though full of energy, often ended up making more mess than help—spilling bananas or knocking over water bowls. CUTIS loved them both so much, and he wanted to do something that would make them smile again.
So the night before, while everyone was asleep, CUTIS had quietly whispered to himself, “Tomorrow… I’ll make something special. Something that will surprise them.”
He spent hours thinking, drawing little pictures on a notepad, and finally came up with the idea. It would take patience, creativity, and maybe a little help from his furry friend—if the monkey didn’t ruin the secret!
Now, as dawn broke, CUTIS slipped out of the house with his small backpack. The baby monkey stirred and peeked out from under his blanket, yawning. But by the time he sat up, CUTIS was already gone.
“Eeeek?” the monkey squeaked in confusion, scratching his head. He jumped up and looked at Mom, who was still half-asleep.
Mom smiled weakly, rubbing her belly. “Where’s CUTIS going so early?” she murmured. “That boy always has something on his mind.”
The monkey tilted his head, curious, and began pacing near the window, watching the path that CUTIS had taken.
CUTIS’s Secret Mission Begins

CUTIS ran toward the big mango tree behind their house, where the morning light shimmered through the leaves. He set his backpack down and took out a few tools—a small basket, some colored paper, a glue stick, and bits of ribbon he’d secretly saved from last month’s celebration.
He wanted to make something beautiful—something that would make his mom and the monkey go “WOW!” when they saw it.
CUTIS started by collecting flowers from around the garden—bright yellow daisies, red hibiscus, and little white jasmine blooms. Then he gathered mango leaves and palm fronds, carefully weaving them together. Slowly, piece by piece, his secret creation started to take shape.
His small hands worked fast but gently, and every time he got a little tired, he’d look up at the house and whisper, “Wait, Mom… wait, Monkey. You’ll see soon.”
Back at the house, Mom noticed the baby monkey sitting by the window, eyes wide with curiosity. “What’s wrong, little one?” she asked with a smile.
The monkey pointed outside, making soft sounds, “Eee-eee!”—his way of saying, CUTIS is up to something!
Mom chuckled and rubbed her belly. “You think so? Oh, I know him too well. Whenever CUTIS goes quiet, it means a surprise is coming!”
She giggled softly, her excitement growing. The baby monkey squealed happily and clapped his little hands, now just as excited as she was.
The Curious Monkey Follows

By midmorning, the baby monkey couldn’t take it anymore. His curiosity was bursting. He looked at Mom, then the door, then back at Mom.
“Go on then,” Mom said with a playful laugh. “But don’t ruin the surprise!”
The monkey didn’t need to be told twice. He leapt off the couch and ran out, swinging from tree branches as he followed CUTIS’s trail.
He found CUTIS crouched under the mango tree, surrounded by flowers, ribbons, and paper. CUTIS looked up in surprise when he heard the monkey’s squeaks.
“Shhh!” CUTIS whispered quickly, putting his finger to his lips. “It’s a secret! No telling Mom!”
The monkey nodded quickly, but his eyes were already wide with amazement. He tilted his head, clearly impressed.
CUTIS smiled proudly. “This is for Mom. She’s been tired. I’m making a Surprise Garden Party! We’ll bring her here later when it’s ready!”
The baby monkey gasped, clapped his hands, and immediately started helping—though his idea of “helping” was more like adorable chaos. He tried carrying flowers but dropped half of them, and when he tried to glue ribbons, he somehow ended up with one stuck to his tail. CUTIS laughed so hard that tears filled his eyes.
“Monkey, you’re silly! But thank you!” he giggled.
Together, they worked for hours—placing flowers, hanging ribbons, setting little fruits in a circle, and even making a sign that said “For Mom 💛” out of colored paper.
When it was done, the mango tree looked magical. The ground was decorated with petals and bright leaves, and the branches had ribbons that danced in the wind. The baby monkey stepped back, his mouth wide open. “Eeeeeee!”
CUTIS nodded proudly. “It’s perfect.”
The Big Reveal

Afternoon came, and the air smelled of mango blossoms and sweet earth. CUTIS and the baby monkey quietly returned home. Mom was sitting on the porch, her belly resting gently under her hands, humming a soft lullaby to her unborn baby.
CUTIS ran up to her, smiling mischievously. “Mom! Come with me! Close your eyes!”
Mom looked surprised but played along. “Close my eyes? What are you two up to now?”
The baby monkey jumped up and down excitedly, making little “Eee-eee!” sounds as if saying, You’re gonna love it!
CUTIS took her hand gently and led her toward the big mango tree. The monkey ran ahead, unable to contain his joy.
“Okay, Mom,” CUTIS said when they arrived. “Now open your eyes.”
Mom slowly opened them—and gasped.
Her mouth dropped open in pure surprise. “Oh my goodness… CUTIS! This is beautiful!”
The sunlight shone through the ribbons, making them sparkle like tiny rainbows. Flowers covered the ground, and in the middle was a small basket filled with mangoes and bananas—a little gift for her and the baby monkey. The colorful sign fluttered in the breeze: “For Mom 💛”
Mom laughed, her eyes wet with happy tears. “You did all this… for me?”
CUTIS nodded shyly. “And for Monkey too. We wanted to make you happy.”
The baby monkey squealed and hugged CUTIS tightly, then clambered up onto Mom’s shoulder, patting her belly as if saying, See, we told you it was special!
Laughter, Love, and Waiting

Mom sat down under the tree, holding CUTIS’s hand. “You’re such a thoughtful boy,” she said warmly. “You and Monkey made my heart so happy.”
The baby monkey grabbed a banana from the basket and tried to peel it upside down, making both of them laugh. CUTIS helped him, still grinning.
As the afternoon sun painted the sky golden, the three of them sat together—Mom, CUTIS, and the baby monkey. The gentle wind carried the scent of flowers, and everything felt peaceful.
Mom looked down at her belly and whispered, “When the baby comes, I’ll tell them how their big brother made this special surprise just for us.”
CUTIS smiled proudly. The baby monkey cuddled next to her, eyes half-closed, tail swinging softly.
They stayed there until the first stars appeared, watching the ribbons dance in the evening breeze. CUTIS leaned against Mom, whispering, “You like it, right?”
Mom kissed his forehead. “I love it, sweetheart. I’ll remember this forever.”
The baby monkey chirped softly in agreement, curling up in her lap.
That night, as fireflies glowed around the tree, CUTIS looked out the window and saw the ribbons still swaying in the moonlight. His heart was full.
He didn’t just make a surprise—he made a memory, one that filled their home with laughter, love, and the pure joy of waiting for the newest little family member to arrive.
And for the baby monkey and Mom, it truly was something special worth waiting for. 🤩💛🐒
