The sun peeked over the green hills, sending golden rays across the little jungle village. The birds were already chirping, and the wind carried the scent of ripe bananas and morning dew. Inside a cozy bamboo hut, CUTIS and Baby Monkey were still half-asleep, their tails wrapped around each other like warm blankets. But today, something felt different — the air was quiet, and Mom wasn’t bustling around like she usually did.
When CUTIS opened his eyes, he noticed Mom sitting by the window, gently rubbing her belly. Her face looked tired, but peaceful. CUTIS blinked a few times, then whispered to Baby Monkey, “Hey, look… Mom looks sleepy today.”
Baby Monkey yawned, rubbing his eyes. “Maybe she’s just resting.”
CUTIS frowned. “No… she looks extra tired. I think the baby in her tummy is making her sleepy!”
That was true. Mom was pregnant, and lately, she needed more rest. She moved slower, ate carefully, and sometimes smiled through the exhaustion. CUTIS didn’t really understand what being pregnant meant, but he knew one thing — Mom was carrying someone special inside her.
When Dad came in with a bunch of fresh fruit, CUTIS quickly asked, “Dad! Why is Mom so tired? Is the baby being naughty inside her tummy?”
Dad chuckled, setting down the fruit. “Not naughty, CUTIS — just growing. Babies need a lot of energy, so Mom needs more rest and love now.”
CUTIS’s eyes widened. “Ohhh… so we have to help her?”

“Exactly,” Dad said, patting his head. “Now, let’s make sure Mom stays happy and calm.”
That simple sentence planted a big idea in CUTIS’s mischievous mind. He looked at Baby Monkey and whispered, “Let’s take care of Mom! Secretly! Like little heroes!”
Baby Monkey tilted his head. “Secretly? Why secretly?”
“Because if we tell her, she’ll say, ‘Oh no, don’t worry, I’m fine.’ But we know she’s tired. So we’ll surprise her by helping — in the most unbelievable way!” CUTIS declared proudly, puffing out his chest.
Baby Monkey giggled. “Okay! What should we do first?”
And so began the funniest, sweetest secret mission the jungle had ever seen.
Step One: Breakfast Mission 🍌
CUTIS tiptoed into the kitchen area while Mom rested in her hammock. He whispered to Baby Monkey, “We’ll make her breakfast! Just like she makes for us.”
Baby Monkey’s eyes sparkled. “Bananas and nuts?”
CUTIS nodded. “Exactly! Easy!”
They gathered bananas, but CUTIS decided to make it special. He remembered seeing Dad put honey on top once. So he searched for the jar of honey — only, it was stuck tight. CUTIS grunted, twisted, and finally, with one big POP, the lid came off… splattering honey all over his face.
Baby Monkey burst into giggles. “CUTIS, you look like a sweet donut!”
“Shhh!” CUTIS said, licking his face. “It’s okay, we can still use it!”

They prepared a “beautiful” breakfast: bananas dipped in honey, sprinkled with some roasted nuts — and one accidental dash of pepper, because CUTIS thought it was sugar. They carried the wobbly wooden plate carefully toward Mom.
When she opened her eyes, she saw two sticky, smiling little monkeys holding out breakfast.
“MOM! We made this for you!” CUTIS said proudly.
Mom blinked in surprise, then smiled warmly. “Oh my sweet babies… you did this for me?”
“Yes!” Baby Monkey said. “Because you’re growing a baby and need food!”
Mom laughed softly and hugged them both. She took one bite — and instantly coughed. “Pepper?!”
CUTIS’s eyes widened. “Oops… I thought it was sugar!”
Mom laughed so hard her belly shook. “Oh CUTIS, even your mistakes are sweet!”
Step Two: Cleaning the House Mission 🧹
Later that day, CUTIS noticed Mom struggling to sweep the floor. So he whispered to Baby Monkey again, “Next mission — we clean the house!”
They grabbed the broom and a big leaf to use as a dustpan. But sweeping was harder than it looked. Every time CUTIS swept one corner, Baby Monkey would chase the dust with his tail, sending it flying back up into the air.
“Hey! Stop moving the dust!” CUTIS shouted.
“I’m not! The dust is moving itself!” Baby Monkey protested.
After a while, both of them were covered in dust, coughing and sneezing, but laughing the whole time. When Mom walked in, she gasped — the room looked like a little dust storm had passed through.
“CUTIS! What are you doing?!”
CUTIS stood proudly, broom in hand. “We’re cleaning! For you!”
Mom stared for a moment, then burst into laughter. “Oh, my little helpers… you’re unbelievable!”

Step Three: Relaxation Mission 😴
After their “cleaning adventure,” CUTIS noticed Mom trying to nap. He whispered, “She needs peace and quiet.”
Baby Monkey nodded seriously. “So we’ll make it quiet.”
CUTIS thought hard. “Hmm… how?”
Then he had a brilliant idea — or so he thought. “We’ll sing lullabies for her! Softly!”
But Baby Monkey’s version of “soft” was… not exactly soft. He sang in a high-pitched squeal, swaying his tail dramatically. CUTIS tried to hush him, but the two ended up singing louder and louder until they woke up Mom.
“CUTIS! BABY! What’s going on?” Mom said, covering her ears.
CUTIS looked guilty. “We were trying to help you sleep.”
Mom smiled, shaking her head lovingly. “I think I’ll sleep better after your concert ends.”
Step Four: The Surprise Gift Mission 🎁
That evening, CUTIS had one final plan. He whispered to Baby Monkey, “We’re going to give Mom something special. Something she’ll never forget.”
Baby Monkey’s eyes lit up. “A present?”

“Yes! We’ll make her a ‘Welcome Baby’ nest!” CUTIS said.
They ran outside, collecting leaves, flowers, and soft grass. They worked hard — cutting vines, arranging petals, and weaving twigs together like real little builders. CUTIS even added shiny pebbles from the river to decorate it.
When it was done, it looked messy… but full of love.
They carried it inside and placed it near Mom’s bed. “SURPRISE!” CUTIS shouted.
Mom gasped. “Oh my goodness… what is this?”
“It’s your baby’s bed!” Baby Monkey said proudly. “So when the baby comes, it has a soft place to sleep!”
Mom’s eyes filled with tears — not from laughter this time, but from pure love. She pulled both of them close, hugging them tightly.
“My sweet boys… this is the most beautiful gift I’ve ever seen,” she whispered.
CUTIS grinned, feeling proud. “You like it?”
“I love it,” Mom said softly. “You two are going to be the best big brothers ever.”
Dad, who had been watching quietly from the doorway, smiled and wiped his eyes. “You did something unbelievable today, CUTIS — not because of what you made, but because of the love behind it.”
CUTIS blushed, his little chest puffing up with pride.

That night, as the stars twinkled above, Mom rested peacefully, her heart warm with happiness. CUTIS and Baby Monkey curled up beside her, whispering softly to each other.
“CUTIS,” Baby Monkey murmured, “we didn’t keep it a secret for long…”
CUTIS chuckled. “Yeah, but Mom still loved it. So maybe… unbelievable love doesn’t need to be secret.”
Baby Monkey smiled. “We did good, huh?”
“The best,” CUTIS said confidently.
And as they drifted to sleep, Mom gently stroked their fur and whispered, “My little heroes… thank you for taking care of me.”
Outside, the crickets sang, and the moon glowed softly over the jungle — shining on a family full of love, laughter, and the most unbelievable surprises of all. 😯❤️🐒
