The early morning sun peeked through the bamboo trees, spilling golden light into the quiet farmyard. The roosters had just begun to crow, and the birds were chirping happily in the distance. On this peaceful morning, something truly heartwarming was about to happen — something so special that even the animals seemed to sense it.
Cutis, the smart golden dog, was already awake. His soft fur shimmered under the sunlight as he stretched lazily on the porch. Next to him, his little friend, the baby monkey, was just waking up, rubbing his tiny eyes and yawning adorably. Dad — the farmer who loved both of them dearly — was still asleep inside the small wooden house.
But today, Cutis and the baby monkey had made up their minds: they were going to take care of Dad.
Morning Mission Begins
The baby monkey, full of energy, jumped off the porch railing and tugged gently at Cutis’s ear.
“Let’s go!” his eyes seemed to say. Cutis wagged his tail in agreement.
Their first task? Breakfast.
Cutis trotted off toward the chicken coop, careful not to startle the hens. He sniffed around and found a few fresh eggs in the straw. With his mouth, he gently picked one up and placed it into a small basket that Dad always left nearby. Meanwhile, the baby monkey climbed a mango tree and began picking ripe mangoes, tossing them down carefully. One mango almost hit Cutis’s head, and the clever dog barked playfully as if to scold him.
The monkey squealed, covering his mouth, then jumped down to help. Together, they filled the basket with fruits and eggs — a simple but thoughtful breakfast for their beloved dad.

The Wake-Up Call
Once the breakfast was ready, Cutis pushed open the door with his nose while the monkey carried a mango in both hands. They tiptoed inside quietly, their little feet making soft sounds on the floorboards.
Dad was still asleep, his blanket half-fallen. Cutis gently nudged his hand with his cold nose. The baby monkey climbed up onto the bed and began patting Dad’s shoulder, chirping softly as if to say, “Wake up, Dad! We made breakfast!”
Dad stirred, half-awake, and when he opened his eyes, he couldn’t believe what he saw — his dog and baby monkey waiting proudly beside his bed, a basket of eggs and mangoes at their feet.
“Aw, Cutis! And you too, little one? You made breakfast for me?” Dad laughed, his heart melting.
The baby monkey clapped happily and hugged Dad’s neck while Cutis wagged his tail furiously.
A Day of Caring
After breakfast, Dad went outside to do his chores. But he was feeling a little tired that day. He had been working late the night before, fixing fences and watering crops. Cutis noticed this right away. The dog followed him closely, refusing to leave his side.
When Dad sat down to rest under the mango tree, Cutis lay at his feet, guarding him like a loyal protector. The baby monkey, always full of curiosity, climbed up the tree and started fanning Dad with a big banana leaf he found nearby.
Dad chuckled, amazed at their behavior.
“You two are unbelievable,” he said softly. “You really know how to take care of me.”
Cutis barked once as if to say, “Of course we do!” while the monkey jumped onto Dad’s shoulder, pressing his tiny cheek against his face.

Helping With the Work
When Dad stood up to continue his chores, Cutis and the baby monkey followed like little helpers. Dad carried a watering can toward the vegetable patch, but before he could bend down, Cutis began digging around the soil with his paws — not too deep, just enough to loosen the dirt.
Meanwhile, the baby monkey carried small weeds out of the garden, imitating what Dad always did. He even tried to pour water using a tiny cup, though he ended up spilling most of it on himself.
Dad laughed again, shaking his head.
“You’re making more work for me than helping, little one!”
But his voice was full of love. He knew they were trying their best.
Together, they spent the morning in the garden. By noon, Dad’s tiredness seemed to have faded away, replaced by a deep sense of joy. There was something magical about being surrounded by such loving friends.
The Sweet Afternoon Surprise
After lunch, Dad decided to take a short nap in the hammock under the shade. The soft wind blew gently, and soon he was fast asleep. Cutis lay beside him, his head resting near Dad’s feet, keeping watch.
The baby monkey, however, had another idea. He tiptoed inside the house and came back carrying Dad’s old hat. Carefully, he placed it on Dad’s head to block the sunlight. Then he climbed onto the hammock’s frame and gently rocked it back and forth, humming soft little sounds.
Cutis looked up, wagged his tail, and joined in by licking Dad’s hand now and then, making sure he was comfortable.
When Dad woke up, he found himself being pampered like a king. His dog was guarding him, and his little monkey was still rocking the hammock, eyes half-closed from concentration.
“Unbelievable…” Dad murmured. “You two are taking care of me better than anyone else ever could.”
He hugged them both tightly, tears welling in his eyes — happy tears.

Evening Cuddles
As the sun began to set, the family gathered on the porch again. Dad sat in his old chair, watching the sky turn orange and pink. The baby monkey sat on his lap, nibbling a banana, while Cutis lay beside them, head resting on Dad’s leg.
The air was peaceful. Crickets started chirping, and a cool breeze carried the smell of fresh hay.
Dad stroked Cutis’s fur and said softly, “I don’t know what I did to deserve you two.”
The baby monkey looked up and touched Dad’s chin gently, then pointed to Cutis as if to say, “We love you, Dad.”
Cutis barked once, short and soft — a sound full of affection.
The Night Gift
Just before bedtime, Dad prepared their dinner. But while he was inside cooking, the baby monkey and Cutis were whispering in their own way outside. The monkey climbed to the fence post and found some small wildflowers, while Cutis found one of Dad’s old slippers — the one he always wore around the yard but had lost days ago.
They placed the slipper and the flowers on Dad’s chair, their little “thank-you” gift.
When Dad came out and saw it, he burst out laughing. “You even found my slipper! You two really are unbelievable!”
He hugged them both again, and they all shared dinner together, the baby monkey sitting between Dad and Cutis like a child between two parents.

A Love Like No Other
That night, as the stars glittered above, Dad lay in bed with a smile on his face. The baby monkey was curled up beside him, and Cutis slept on the floor near the door, guarding the house.
Outside, the crickets sang softly, and the moon shone through the window.
Dad whispered, “Good night, my little heroes. You’ve taken care of me in the most special way.”
Cutis’s tail wagged even in his sleep, and the baby monkey’s tiny hand rested gently on Dad’s arm.
In that peaceful moment, their bond — one built on love, care, and pure devotion — glowed brighter than the moonlight.
Because in this small corner of the world, a dog, a monkey, and their dad had found the truest kind of family — one that cared for each other with all their hearts. 💛🐕🐒
