Cutis was no ordinary dog. This golden-furred mischief-maker had a heart full of love and a mind full of cunning plans. He lived with his human dad, Mr. Wong, in a small but cozy home on the edge of a bustling market. Life was simple but full of laughterâespecially with Cutis around.

âThe price of meat is so high these days!â Mr. Wong sighed. âI wish I could buy a nice, big piece for a feast. But for now, itâs just vegetables and rice.â
Cutis tilted his head. His ears perked up. Meat? A feast? Dad wants it? His little doggy brain started whirring. This was a mission. A mission of love. And maybe⊠a mission of deliciousness.

The Great Escape
That evening, when Mr. Wong dozed off for his afternoon nap, Cutis saw his chance. He peeked out the doorâclear. He tiptoed past the gateâstill clear. Then, with a burst of golden fur, he dashed toward the market!
Cutis knew the market well. He had followed Mr. Wong there countless times, sniffing at every stall, wagging his tail at the butcher, and charming vendors into tossing him a scrap or two. Today, though, he had a plan. He needed a big piece of meatâsomething that would make Dad smile.

The Meat Mission
As Cutis trotted through the bustling market, his nose led him straight to the butcherâs stall. There it wasâa glorious, juicy, gigantic chunk of meat hanging in the display. Cutis licked his lips.
âOh, if only I had moneyâŠâ he thought. Then, he had an idea.
He wagged his tail and gave the butcher his best puppy eyesâthe ones that could melt even the coldest hearts.

The butcher, a burly man with a soft spot for animals, chuckled. âCutis! What are you up to? Trying to steal my meat?â
Cutis barked and did a little dance on his paws, spinning around like a circus dog. The butcher laughed harder.
âAlright, alright! I see you have important business today!â The butcher reached behind the counter and grabbed a big, juicy piece of meat. âHere you go, little guy. But this is a secret, okay? Donât let your dad know itâs from me!â
Cutis grabbed the meat gently and, with his tail wagging wildly, took off like a lightning bolt!

The Journey Home
But the adventure wasnât over yet. Oh no, carrying a giant piece of meat through a busy market was not easy! Every cat, dog, and even a few curious kids turned their heads. Cutis ran through the maze of legs, baskets, and bicycles, determined to get home safely.
At one point, a sneaky alley cat tried to swipe the meat. Cutis growled, hugging the prize close to his chest. âNot today, whiskers!â he thought. With a quick sprint, he dodged the cat and leaped over a puddle, the meat still secured in his jaws.

The Grand Surprise
Panting and victorious, Cutis finally reached home. He wiggled through the gate, ran inside, and placed the massive piece of meat right in front of Mr. Wong, wagging his tail proudly.

Mr. Wong woke up with a start. He blinked. He stared. âWhat⊠what is this?!â
Cutis barked happily and nudged the meat closer.
Mr. Wong was stunned. âWhere did youâŠ? How did youâŠ?â He looked at his mischievous dog, who sat there grinning like a hero who had just saved the world. Then, Mr. Wong burst into laughter.

âOh, Cutis! You little rascal! How did you manage this?â He shook his head in disbelief. âI guess weâre having a feast tonight!â
Cutis wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled. Mission accomplished.
And that night, as Mr. Wong cooked the most delicious meal they had ever shared, Cutis lay happily by his feet, dreaming of his next great adventure.
