Lala Gives Special Attention and Love to Lu

It was a peaceful morning in the small village where Lala lived. The sun had just risen, casting a golden hue over the garden and fields behind their house. Birds chirped softly as a light breeze danced through the leaves. Inside the house, something heartwarming was happening — Lala was gently waking up her little brother, Lu.

“Good morning, Lu,” Lala whispered softly, brushing his hair back with her hand. “Time to wake up, sleepyhead.”

Lu blinked sleepily and then smiled as he saw his big sister. “Good morning, Lala.”

Ever since their parents had asked Lala to help take care of Lu while they worked, she had taken her role very seriously. She wasn’t just an older sister anymore — she was his friend, his protector, and his biggest cheerleader. Though only a few years older, Lala showed a sense of maturity and kindness that surprised everyone around her.

That morning, Lala had a special plan. She wanted to make Lu feel extra loved. He had been feeling a little sad the past few days — maybe it was because their parents had been so busy, or perhaps he was just feeling a bit lonely. Lala noticed it right away and decided today would be Lu’s Special Day.

After breakfast, which Lala helped prepare (and made sure Lu got his favorite banana pancakes), she took his hand and said, “Come on, Lu! We’re going on a little adventure.”

Lu’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Where are we going?”

“You’ll see!” she giggled.

Lala led Lu to the backyard, where she had already prepared a blanket, some picture books, juice, and a few of Lu’s favorite toys. It was a perfect setup for a cozy morning picnic under the big mango tree. The tree offered shade and comfort, and birds often rested on its branches, singing their melodies.

Lu plopped down on the blanket, clapping his hands. “Wow, this is for me?”

“Yes! Just for you,” Lala smiled, handing him a small crown made of flowers she had picked earlier. “You’re the prince today.”

Lu proudly wore his flower crown and leaned against Lala as she read him a story about brave little animals going on an adventure together. Lala added her own dramatic voices, making Lu giggle uncontrollably. When he laughed so hard he couldn’t stop, she laughed along with him.

After story time, Lala opened a small box and revealed cookies shaped like stars and animals. “I made these yesterday while you were napping,” she said with pride. “I wanted to surprise you.”

Lu was so happy, he jumped up and hugged her tightly. “You’re the best, Lala!”

Lala hugged him back just as tightly. “No, you are.”

As the day went on, Lala continued giving Lu her full attention. They played pretend games — first, they were explorers looking for treasure, then pirates sailing the high seas. Lala always made sure Lu had the best parts and gave him the chance to shine. She let him lead the games, solve the puzzles, and even pick the snacks.

Later in the afternoon, they painted together on the porch. Lala gave Lu all the bright colors and encouraged him to be as creative as he wanted. She didn’t worry about the mess — she only cared that Lu was smiling and having fun. He drew a picture of the two of them standing on top of a mountain, with a rainbow and a sun smiling down on them.

“That’s beautiful,” Lala said, kissing his forehead. “I’ll hang it up in my room so I can look at it every day.”

Lu beamed with pride. He felt important. He felt loved.

As the sun began to set, Lala ran a warm bath for Lu and let him bring in his favorite toy boat. She sang to him softly as he played. Afterward, she helped him into his pajamas and brushed his hair gently.

That night, she tucked him into bed and told him one last bedtime story — one that she made up just for him. It was about a little boy named Lu who was so kind, brave, and special that everyone in the kingdom loved him. And his big sister, Princess Lala, was always there to look out for him and make him smile.

Lu yawned and cuddled his blanket. “Lala?”

“Yes, Lu?”

“Today was the best day ever. Thank you.”

Lala smiled, her heart full. “I love you, Lu. Always.”

“I love you too,” he whispered before drifting off to sleep.

What made Lala so special wasn’t just her ability to entertain her brother or keep him safe — it was her deep understanding of what it meant to love someone. She noticed his feelings, paid attention to the little things, and put in the effort to show him that he mattered. She never once expected anything in return. Her love was quiet, consistent, and full of warmth.

Their parents, coming home late from work, peeked into Lu’s room and saw him sleeping peacefully with a huge smile on his face. Then they went to Lala’s room, where she had already fallen asleep, exhausted from the day. On her nightstand was the picture Lu had drawn — and next to it, a note in her handwriting: “I love my little brother so much.”

Tears filled their mother’s eyes. “She’s such a good sister,” she whispered.

The father nodded. “She gives him something we can’t always give — time, patience, and full-hearted love.”

From that day on, Lu talked about his special day for weeks. He told everyone how his sister made him feel like a prince, how they laughed, played, and painted together. And whenever he felt a little down, Lala would remind him, “You’re still my prince, you know.”

Lala never stopped showing love. Every day, even in small ways — helping him tie his shoes, sharing her snacks, listening to his silly stories — she proved that giving someone your time and attention is one of the most beautiful gifts of all.

And Lu? He grew up to be just like her: kind, attentive, and full of love.

Because of Lala.
