The sun was rising gently over the quiet farm, casting golden light across the trees and chicken coops. Birds chirped in the distance, and a soft breeze carried the scent of fresh grass and bananas. In the middle of this peaceful morning, one little creature was already causing a scene—baby monkey Lu, the most playful and mischievous member of the family.

Lu had just finished his morning adventure: rolling in the dirt, climbing the compost pile, and somehow smearing mango all over his face, chest, and tail. By the time he returned to the porch, he looked more like a mud statue than a baby monkey.
CUTIS, the clever farmer who took care of Lu, stared in shock. “Oh no! What happened to you?”
Lu grinned proudly, baring tiny teeth. He had no idea he looked like a chocolate-covered banana.
Mom walked out with a towel in hand and took one glance at Lu. “That’s it. Today’s bath day.”
Lu’s grin faded. “Eek!” he squeaked and started backing away.
“Oh no you don’t!” CUTIS laughed, catching him gently. “You asked for this, little guy.”
And so began the hilarious mission: Taking a bath to baby monkey Lu.

Step One: Preparation
CUTIS and Mom brought out a small plastic tub, warm water, baby shampoo, a soft sponge, a towel, and Lu’s favorite rubber ducky to help calm him. They placed everything in the backyard near the flower garden.
Lu, meanwhile, sat on a tree branch, eyeing them with suspicion. The last time he had a bath, he accidentally splashed CUTIS in the eye, and then escaped naked and wet through the house.
CUTIS called out, “Lu, come down! It’s just a nice warm bath!”
Lu didn’t budge. He shook his head and clutched the branch.
Mom tried sweet-talking. “Look, Lu! Your ducky is waiting. And I’ll give you a banana after the bath!”
Lu blinked.
“A banana AND a mango!” she added.
That did it.
With a hesitant squeak, Lu leapt into CUTIS’s arms.
