In a quiet home on the edge of a small village, there lived a tiny baby monkey named Piku. Piku was only a few months old, full of fluffy fur, bright eyes, and endless energy. He loved climbing on furniture, exploring corners, and following his owner, Dara, everywhere like a little shadow.
But there was one thing Piku didn’t quite understand yet—bath time.
Every few days, Piku needed a gentle bath to stay clean and healthy. And even though the water was warm and the room was cozy, Piku always reacted the same way: wide-eyed, squeaky, and confused.

THE MORNING OF THE BATH
The day started softly, with sunlight slipping through the curtains and landing on Piku’s little sleeping blanket. He slowly opened his eyes, stretched his tiny arms, and let out a squeaky yawn. Right away, he crawled toward Dara, climbing onto his lap to snuggle.
Dara laughed. “Good morning, Piku. Guess what day it is?”
Piku tilted his head, expecting a treat.
Instead, Dara gently tapped a small basin filled with warm water.
Bath day.
Piku froze.
His eyes widened.
He squeaked quietly as if saying, “Are you sure about this?”
Dara smiled warmly. “Don’t worry, little one. It will be quick and gentle.”

THE PREPARATION
Dara made sure everything was ready:
- A soft towel
- Baby-safe soap
- A tiny cup for rinsing
- And Piku’s favorite small blanket to wrap him afterward
The basin was filled just enough for a baby monkey—shallow, warm, and safe.
Piku watched every move with suspicious eyes. He clung tightly to Dara’s arm, making himself look extra small, as though hoping Dara might forget the whole idea.
“Come on, sweetheart,” Dara said softly. “You’ll feel fresh after.”
Little by little, Piku allowed himself to be held.

THE FIRST SPLASH
When Dara lowered Piku toward the water, Piku stretched his arms and legs out in all directions like a starfish, trying to avoid touching the surface.
Dara chuckled. “Relax, Piku. It’s just water.”
Finally, Piku’s tiny toes touched the warm water.
SPLASH!
Piku squeaked loudly and grabbed onto Dara’s shirt. He wasn’t hurt—just shocked. The water was warm and gentle, but he wasn’t used to it yet.
With slow and careful movements, Dara placed Piku into the basin, supporting him with one hand at all times. Piku sat there stiffly, eyes big like marbles.
Then something surprising happened.
The warmth started to feel good.
Piku blinked.
He reached out and touched the water with one finger.
He wiggled his toes.
He let out a softer, curious squeak.
Dara smiled proudly. “See? It’s not scary at all.”
THE GENTLE WASH
Dara used the smallest amount of soap, rubbing it between his hands until it formed soft bubbles. Then, he gently washed Piku’s fur, starting from the top of his head and moving slowly down his back.
Piku closed his eyes, enjoying the gentle massage. His earlier fear melted away. His little tail relaxed. His fingers loosened their grip. He even leaned forward slightly, as if asking for more bubbles.
Dara laughed softly. “I knew you’d like this once you gave it a chance.”
Piku peeked at the bubbles around him and touched them with his tiny hands. Each bubble popped instantly, surprising him every time. He looked up at Dara with an expression that clearly said:
“Where did it go?”
THE FUNNIEST MOMENT
When it was time to clean under Piku’s arms and legs, he lifted them like a little baby trying to cooperate. His tiny belly wrinkled. He made cute squeaky sounds that filled the room with pure joy.
At one point, Piku leaned over and tried to bite a bubble floating near his lips.
POP.
Piku blinked in confusion.
Dara burst out laughing. “Oh, Piku, you’re too funny.”
Piku squeaked back proudly, as if he meant to do that.
THE RINSING
Next, Dara used the small cup to rinse Piku’s fur. The warm water flowed gently down his arms and back. Piku watched the water fall, fascinated by how it shimmered in the light.
Each pour made him shiver a little, then relax again.
Dara kept talking softly, making sure Piku felt safe and calm. “Almost done, little one. You’re doing great.”
Piku leaned comfortably against Dara’s hand, trusting him completely now.
THE SNUGGLY TOWEL
When the bath was done, Dara lifted Piku carefully. Piku immediately clung to him, dripping wet, squeaking in tiny shivers. But Dara was ready—he wrapped Piku in the soft towel and pressed him gently against his chest.
Piku’s body relaxed instantly.
He loved warmth.
He loved being held.
And he loved feeling safe.
Dara dried Piku slowly, patting his fur until it turned fluffy again. Piku peeked out from the towel, looking like a tiny burrito with two big shiny eyes.
THE POST-BATH ZOOMIES
As soon as he was dry enough, Piku burst into full excitement mode.
He scrambled onto Dara’s shoulder.
Then onto the sofa.
Then across the room.
Then back into Dara’s lap.
It was like the bath had filled him with brand-new energy.
Dara laughed so hard he almost fell over. “You’re supposed to rest after a bath!”
Piku clearly disagreed.
He hopped around proudly, as if showing off his clean and shiny fur to the whole house.
A MOMENT OF PEACE
After the zoomies, Piku finally tired out. He climbed into Dara’s arms, snuggled close to his chest, and let out a soft yawn that melted Dara’s heart.
Dara stroked his fur gently. “You did so well today, little Piku. I’m proud of you.”
Piku pressed his tiny face against Dara’s shirt and closed his eyes. His breathing slowed. His tiny hands relaxed. He felt warm, clean, and completely safe.
For Piku, bath time had begun as a scary mystery.
But thanks to patience, gentleness, and love, it became a moment of comfort—a special time shared between him and his caring owner.
THE END OF A SWEET DAY
By the time the sun began to set, Piku was fast asleep, wrapped in his favorite blanket with Dara nearby, watching over him.
The gentle bath had become part of their life—a routine filled with trust, warmth, and the unspoken bond between a tiny monkey and the human who loved him like family.
And though Piku would still squeak nervously the next time he saw the bath basin…
He would still climb into Dara’s arms.
He would still trust.
And he would still leave the bath smelling sweet, fluffy, and happy.
Because Piku knew he was safe.
And that made all the difference.
