Baby Monkey & CUTIS Take Care Mom in a Special Way

Morning sunlight crept through the curtains, brushing softly against Mom’s tired face. She had been working late for several days—cooking, cleaning, helping relatives, and still trying to take care of CUTIS and Baby Monkey. Usually she hid her tiredness behind a smile, but today even that smile looked sleepy.

CUTIS noticed immediately.

“Mom, you okay?” he asked, stepping closer to her bed.

Mom forced a small smile. “Just a little tired, sweetie. I’ll be fine.”

Baby Monkey hopped onto the bed, placing his tiny hands on Mom’s cheeks. He tilted his head, inspecting her like a doctor. Then he gently pressed his forehead to hers, worried.

CUTIS exchanged a look with Baby Monkey:
We need to take care of her today. Really take care of her. In our own special way.

Baby Monkey nodded seriously—then saluted.

With that, their mission began.

Step 1: Breakfast… Kinda

CUTIS marched into the kitchen with Baby Monkey trailing behind like a determined shadow.

“We’ll make Mom breakfast!” CUTIS announced proudly.

Baby Monkey climbed onto the counter and grabbed… a banana. Of course. He peeled it and tried to put it on a plate.

CUTIS sighed. “No, no—Mom needs real food. Eggs. Toast. Something nice!”

Baby Monkey tilted his head, then tossed the banana peel into the air like confetti.

CUTIS cracked eggs into a bowl, whisking with more enthusiasm than skill. Baby Monkey watched, fascinated. When CUTIS turned to adjust the stove, Baby Monkey stuck his tiny fingers into the bowl, pulling out raw egg strings and giggling.

“HEY!” CUTIS grabbed his hand gently. “No touching raw eggs!”

Baby Monkey shrugged, licking one finger.

CUTIS groaned but laughed anyway. “Fine. You can help with toast.”

Baby Monkey took the loaf of bread and placed six slices in the toaster… all at once. The toaster jammed and squeaked in protest.

CUTIS quickly pulled slices out. “No! One at a time!”

Baby Monkey pouted dramatically, crossing his arms.

CUTIS patted his head. “Okay, you can butter the toast.”

Baby Monkey lit up. He grabbed the butter knife, dipped it into the butter, and smeared a mountain of butter on one single slice until it looked like a snow hill.

CUTIS sighed—but kept it.

By the time they finished, breakfast looked messy but heartfelt: slightly burnt toast, scrambled eggs that were half soft, half crispy, and a banana that Baby Monkey insisted stay on the plate because “Mom likes fruit.”

CUTIS placed everything neatly and whispered, “Okay… Step one: DONE.”

Baby Monkey gave a thumbs up—his tiny thumb, sticky with butter.

Step 2: The Super Cleaner Squad

CUTIS and Baby Monkey tiptoed into Mom’s room with breakfast on a tray.

Mom slowly opened her eyes and blinked. “What’s all this?”

“Breakfast! Made by us!” CUTIS said proudly.

Mom sat up, smiling softly. “Thank you, sweethearts. You’re so sweet.”

Baby Monkey hopped onto the bed, handing her the banana first like it was a royal offering.

Mom laughed gently. “Thank you, little one.”

As she began eating, CUTIS whispered to Baby Monkey, “Now we clean the house!”

Baby Monkey saluted again.

CUTIS grabbed a broom and started sweeping the living room. Baby Monkey grabbed a smaller broom and tried to copy him… but ended up sweeping dust back onto the clean spots.

Then Baby Monkey spotted the vacuum cleaner.

CUTIS noticed too late.

“NO! Don’t—”

But Baby Monkey had already pressed the button. The vacuum roared to life, frightening him. He jumped on CUTIS’s shoulders in panic.

CUTIS staggered but held onto him. “Calm down! It’s just noise!”

Baby Monkey covered his eyes, trembling. CUTIS quickly turned the vacuum off.

“It’s okay,” CUTIS said, hugging him tightly. “I’ll handle vacuuming. You do… something else.”

Baby Monkey pointed to the pile of laundry.

CUTIS nodded. “Okay. You can help with clothes.”

CUTIS began folding neatly. Baby Monkey watched closely, then grabbed a shirt and copied him… badly. He twisted it, rolled it, squished it, then proudly placed it in the “finished pile.”

CUTIS didn’t have the heart to fix it. It was the effort that mattered.

By the time Mom finished breakfast, the house wasn’t perfectly clean, but it looked brighter—mostly because CUTIS and Baby Monkey’s laughter filled every corner.

Step 3: The Surprise Spa Treatment

CUTIS had one more idea.

“Mom always takes care of us,” he said, “so today she gets a spa day!”

Baby Monkey gasped like this was the greatest idea in the universe.

CUTIS gathered warm water, lotion, soft towels, and a hairbrush. Baby Monkey tried to carry the lotion but dropped it three times.

When they returned to Mom’s room, she was sitting up, smiling at them warmly.

“What are you two doing now?” she asked.

“Relax, Mom. This is special treatment!” CUTIS declared.

Baby Monkey nodded, patting Mom’s leg.

CUTIS dipped a towel in warm water and gently placed it on Mom’s hands. Baby Monkey grabbed another towel and placed it on Mom’s head.

CUTIS almost choked. “NO! Not there!”

Baby Monkey froze… then giggled and moved the towel to her shoulder.

CUTIS massaged Mom’s hands slowly. Baby Monkey copied him, massaging her arm but squeezing too hard.

“Ow!” Mom laughed. “Gentle, sweetheart!”

Baby Monkey immediately softened his touch, eyes full of apology.

Mom stroked his cheek. “It’s okay, baby.”

CUTIS brushed Mom’s hair. Baby Monkey brushed her arm… then her leg… then CUTIS’s back.

CUTIS yelped. “Hey!! Not me!”

Mom burst into laughter, wiping happy tears from her eyes.

Then Baby Monkey climbed onto her lap and curled against her, hugging her gently.

Mom wrapped her arms around both of them, her heart full and warm.

“You two,” she whispered, “are the best medicine.”

CUTIS felt pride swell inside of him. Baby Monkey purred softly, snuggling closer.

Step 4: Rest Together

Finally, CUTIS laid a blanket over Mom. Baby Monkey found her favorite pillow and placed it carefully behind her back.

Mom smiled, eyes heavy with peaceful rest. “Thank you, my boys. You made my day so special.”

CUTIS lay beside her, resting his head on her shoulder. Baby Monkey crawled onto her stomach, curled up like a tiny furry heater.

Mom closed her eyes.

CUTIS whispered, “We did good.”

Baby Monkey nodded sleepily.

They stayed like that—quiet, warm, safe—wrapped in love.

It wasn’t perfect. Breakfast was messy, cleaning was chaotic, and spa day was hilarious.

But it was special.

Because CUTIS and Baby Monkey didn’t just take care of Mom.
They filled her day with joy, laughter, and love—the kind only they could give.

And that was more healing than anything else in the world.
