The small town market was already buzzing with its usual morning crowd, but this particular day was destined to be unlike any other. CUTIS, the playful farmer known for his kindness and love for animals, decided to take CUBIS and the baby monkey for a morning adventure. CUBIS, his loyal golden dog, was always ready for fun, while the baby monkey—whom CUTIS had rescued a few months earlier—was mischievous, curious, and impossible to ignore.
As the trio set out, CUTIS held a small basket of fresh fruits, hoping to buy a few treats for his animals along the way. CUBIS trotted happily beside him, wagging his tail, while the baby monkey clung to CUTIS’s shoulder, chattering and making excited squeaks. The market vendors, who already adored CUTIS for his cheerful personality, noticed them from afar and waved with big smiles.
“Look! CUTIS is here with CUBIS and that adorable monkey!” shouted one of the vegetable sellers. Instantly, heads turned, and children ran toward them, eager to see the little animal duo.
The baby monkey was thrilled by all the attention. It leapt down from CUTIS’s shoulder and tried to climb onto a stack of banana bunches at a nearby stall. The fruit seller laughed instead of scolding, amused by the monkey’s antics. “Oh, you naughty little thing! You like bananas, don’t you?” she said, offering the monkey one. The baby monkey grabbed it with both tiny hands and sat on the edge of the stall, peeling it clumsily.
Meanwhile, CUBIS started sniffing around a stall selling freshly grilled meat skewers. The dog’s tail wagged faster and faster as he inched closer to the delicious smell. CUTIS quickly noticed and called out, “CUBIS! Not today, buddy. We came here for fruits!” But CUBIS gave him the classic innocent dog look, making everyone nearby chuckle.

As they strolled further, the market became even more lively. The baby monkey suddenly spotted a row of colorful scarves hanging from a clothing stall. Without hesitation, it swung over to them, grabbing a bright red scarf and wrapping it around its tiny body like a superhero cape. The crowd erupted with laughter. “Look at the little hero monkey!” shouted a young boy, clapping his hands in delight. CUTIS, though slightly embarrassed, couldn’t help but laugh too. “You’re going to make me pay for that, aren’t you?” he said to the stall owner, who waved it off, saying, “Don’t worry, CUTIS. That monkey just gave me free entertainment!”
As the morning went on, CUTIS decided to buy some fresh mangoes for everyone. While he was busy talking to a fruit vendor, the baby monkey and CUBIS found a new way to create chaos—by playing a game of chase. The monkey hopped from stall to stall, knocking over a basket of tomatoes, while CUBIS barked and ran after it. Shoppers had to step aside, but instead of being annoyed, they laughed and recorded videos on their phones. “This is better than any festival!” one woman exclaimed, giggling as she watched the scene unfold.

CUTIS tried to catch them, but both CUBIS and the monkey were too fast. Finally, the monkey stopped near a juice stand, panting and grinning as if it had just won a race. The juice vendor, delighted by the unexpected performance, offered CUTIS and his animals some fresh sugarcane juice. Even CUBIS got his own small bowl of cool water to drink. “Thank you! They’ve been running wild today,” CUTIS said, wiping sweat from his forehead.
By now, a small crowd had gathered around CUTIS, eager to see more of the adorable duo. The baby monkey, always the star of the show, decided to show off by balancing on CUBIS’s back. The dog stood still, patiently allowing the monkey to climb onto him, while everyone clapped and cheered. “Look at them! They’re like a circus act!” said one man, pulling out his phone to take a photo.

CUTIS, always a good sport, decided to join in on the fun. “Shall we show them how smart you are, CUBIS?” he said, giving the dog a signal. CUBIS instantly sat down, rolled over, and then gave the baby monkey a playful lick. The crowd erupted in laughter and applause. “CUTIS, you should charge tickets for this performance!” joked a vendor.
After a while, CUTIS realized it was time to head home. He thanked the vendors for their patience and the snacks, but the people didn’t want the fun to end. “Come back again, CUTIS! You bring so much joy to our market!” one woman said, waving goodbye. The children followed them for a short distance, still laughing and talking about the mischievous monkey.

As they left, CUTIS looked at CUBIS and the baby monkey with a warm smile. “You two certainly know how to make a day exciting,” he said. CUBIS wagged his tail proudly, while the monkey chattered as if agreeing. On the way home, CUTIS couldn’t help but feel grateful for these two companions who turned even a simple trip to the market into a day filled with laughter and happiness.
By the time they reached home, the sun was higher in the sky, and the little monkey was already falling asleep on CUTIS’s shoulder, tired from all the fun. CUBIS lay down near the porch, panting and wagging his tail one last time before closing his eyes for a nap. CUTIS sat down with a big grin, knowing that their playful adventure would be the talk of the market for days to come.
