It was a bright and breezy morning on the little farm where Cutis, the clever farmer, lived with his animal friends. But this wasnât just any morningâtoday, something hilariously unexpected was about to happen.
Cutis had recently become best friends with a baby monkey named Coco. Coco was full of energy, mischief, and curiosity. From the moment he woke up, he was either climbing trees, chasing butterflies, or trying to copy whatever Cutis was doing. And Cutis? Well, he loved every moment of it. The two were inseparable, like peanut butter and jelly.
Now, on this particular day, Cutis and Coco had been playing outside near the peanut field. They had just finished watering the garden when Coco suddenly sniffed the air, his eyes sparkling. He caught a whiff of something deliciousâroasted peanuts! His little nose twitched excitedly, and he let out a tiny chirp.
Cutis laughed. âYou smell that too, huh? That must be Mom roasting peanuts again!â
Mom, the gentle and kind-hearted woman who took care of them both, was famous for her amazing roasted peanut recipe. She usually made a big batch and kept them in a woven basket on the kitchen shelf. The smell filled the air and tempted anyone nearbyâincluding a very sneaky baby monkey.
Cutis had an idea. âHey, Coco… what if we make our own roasted peanuts? Just a few. We wonât even touch Momâs batch… just borrow a few raw ones, okay?â
Cocoâs eyes widened. He clapped his tiny hands and did a happy flip off the fence. That was all the agreement Cutis needed.
The âmissionâ was now on.

Operation: Peanut Heist
Sneaking into the house without being noticed was tricky. Mom was in the kitchen humming softly to herself while she cooked. The basket of peanuts sat high on the shelf, but Cutis knew exactly how to reach it. He tiptoed across the floor like a secret agent, with Coco following behind on all fours.
âShhh!â Cutis whispered as he reached up and gently pulled the basket toward him.
Coco couldnât help himselfâhe giggled.
âQuiet!â Cutis hushed him again.
They took a small handfulâjust enough for their cooking experimentâand tiptoed out the back door. Once outside, both of them burst out laughing.
âWe did it!â Cutis cried, holding the peanuts like a trophy.
Coco danced in circles and gave Cutis a high-five. It was time to cook.
The Backyard Cooking Show
Cutis and Coco set up a tiny âkitchenâ behind the barn. They had an old clay pot, some firewood, and a few utensils they borrowed from the shed. Cutis lit the fire (safely, of course!) while Coco proudly placed the peanuts into the pan.
âStir, stir, stir!â Cutis said like a cooking show host.
Coco grabbed a spoonâmuch too big for himâand tried to stir. Instead, peanuts flew in every direction.
âWhoa! Not like that!â Cutis laughed, shielding his face as a peanut hit him on the nose.
They tried again. This time, Cutis held the pan while Coco stirred more gently. Smoke curled up from the pan, and the smell of roasted peanuts filled the air.
âAlmost done,â Cutis said.
Coco gave a proud nod, even though his face was now covered in peanut dust.
Just as they were about to taste their creation, they heard a voice.
âAhem…â

Busted!
Mom stood behind them, arms crossed and one eyebrow raised.
Cutis froze. Coco dropped the spoon.
âOh noâŠâ Cutis whispered. âWeâre caught.â
Mom looked at the mess. Peanut shells on the ground, smoke still rising from the pan, and a monkey who looked like heâd taken a peanut bath.
âWell,â she said slowly, âsomeoneâs been stealing my peanuts.â
Cutis stepped forward bravely. âIt was me, Mom. I wanted to surprise you. Coco and I just took a few, I promise.â
Momâs face stayed serious for a moment longer⊠and then she burst out laughing.
âYou two are something else,â she chuckled. âI shouldâve known. I smelled peanuts roasting and thought, âEither the squirrels have learned to cook or Cutis is up to something.ââ
She knelt down to look at Coco. âAnd you, little chef, are covered in more peanuts than you cooked!â
Coco gave her his best innocent smile, then handed her a perfectly roasted peanut.
Mom popped it in her mouth and chewed thoughtfully. âHmm⊠Not bad. Actually, itâs delicious!â
Cutis beamed. âReally?!â
âYou might just have a future in the peanut business,â she said with a wink.
The Peanut Party
To celebrate the peanut success, Mom suggested they roast a big batch together. She brought out more peanuts, some honey, and a pinch of salt. With Coco helping (and only stealing a few), they made the most delicious roasted peanuts anyone had ever tasted.
By the end of the afternoon, they had bowls full of golden, crunchy snacks. Cutis and Coco handed them out to the other animals on the farmâLuna the goat, Max the puppy, even the chickens got a few.
Coco couldnât stop smiling. He had learned something important that day: sneaking was fun, but cooking with loveâand sharing the resultsâwas even better.
Mom gave both her little chefs a big hug. âNext time, just ask me, okay?â
Cutis nodded. âGot it. No more secret missions.â
Coco did a thumbs-up. Well, sort ofâit looked more like a tiny banana-shaped hand wave.

The Last Laugh
That night, after dinner, Cutis and Coco sat by the porch under the stars. They each had a little cup of roasted peanuts and were still giggling about the dayâs adventure.
âYou know,â Cutis said, âwe should open a peanut cafĂ©. âChef Cutis & Monkey Cocoâs Crunchy Corner!ââ
Coco squealed with excitement, clapped his hands, and pretended to take a customerâs order.
âComing right up!â Cutis said, handing Coco another peanut.
And just like that, a new dream was born.
Because when youâve got peanuts, laughter, and a mischievous monkey by your side, life is always funny, sweet, and just a little bit crunchy.
