CUTIS had always been the clever one—small, fluffy, bright-eyed, and full of mischief that made everyone love him despite the chaos he caused. But on this particular morning, something felt… different. Mom was busy preparing breakfast, Baby Monkey was still half-asleep and clinging to his blanket, and the house carried that strange quietness that only happens before something big.
CUTIS noticed it, too. His eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint as he sat by the window, tapping his tiny fingers against the sill. He checked over his shoulder once… twice… and then hopped down silently. Today, he had a plan—one he wasn’t supposed to have.
Because today, CUTIS was going to leave the house secretly.
For days, he had been watching Mom hide something in her room—something wrapped in colorful paper with sparkly ribbon. He had sniffed it, poked it, even tried to open the closet door when she wasn’t looking, but she always caught him. Baby Monkey whispered that it was a surprise for CUTIS’s birthday. But CUTIS didn’t want to wait. And more importantly, he believed the surprise might be something yummy.
So today, he decided: he would find out the truth himself.
CUTIS’s Sneaky Escape

He tiptoed past the living room, where Mom’s phone was charging. One wrong move and the vibration of a message might give him away. CUTIS froze when the screen lit up, but fortunately, no sound came. He let out a tiny sigh and continued.
Next challenge: the front door.
He knew it squeaked. He had studied it, tested it, and memorized how to push it slowly at just the right angle to stop the squeal. CUTIS gently pressed his fingers on the edge, exhaled, and pushed.
Click.
No squeak. Perfect.
CUTIS slipped out and shut the door behind him, chest puffed out with pride. “I am genius,” he whispered to himself with a dramatic pose.
But the adventure had only begun.
Exploring the Outside World

Sunlight poured over the yard like liquid gold. CUTIS blinked and sniffed the warm air. Outside always felt bigger when he was alone—every sound louder, every shadow deeper, every bird more suspicious.
He waddled down the steps, then hopped onto the dirt path. His tail swished with excitement.
“Find the surprise,” he reminded himself.
He started investigating like a detective:
- Sniffing bushes
- Peeking under the porch
- Staring suspiciously at a lizard that ran past
- Checking the neighbor’s flowerpots
- Even climbing halfway up a palm tree
But there was no hidden gift anywhere. CUTIS scratched his head in frustration. “Why Mom hide so good?” he grumbled.
Then he noticed the gate—half-open.
CUTIS’s eyes widened.
The world outside the yard… now that was forbidden territory.
But temptation was stronger than fear.
And CUTIS… well… CUTIS never let rules stop him.
The OMG Moment Begins

He slipped through the gate with stealth worthy of a spy movie. The neighborhood was quiet, except for the occasional rooster crowing like it owned the street.
CUTIS walked confidently, pretending he knew exactly where he was going. But after three minutes, he stopped.
“…Where I am?”
He spun around. All the houses looked the same. The road stretched endlessly in both directions. CUTIS felt a nervous flutter in his chest.
But instead of panicking, he gasped dramatically and whispered, “OMG… I am lost like hero in movie.”
For a moment, he actually looked excited. Adventure mode ON.
He marched forward, determined to find something interesting. And oh—he did.
CUTIS and the Grocery Shop Chaos

A small grocery shop sat at the corner with open shelves full of colorful snacks. CUTIS’s eyes grew huge. Chips! Biscuits! Candy! Fruit! This… THIS could be where Mom bought the surprise!
Without hesitation, he climbed onto the lowest crate and reached for the nearest packet of banana chips.
But as soon as his fingers touched it—
CRASH!
A whole pile of snack bags toppled onto him. CUTIS disappeared under a mountain of chips.
From inside the pile came a muffled:
“OMG… help…”
The shopkeeper ran out, stunned. “Ah! Monkey? Where did you come from?!”
CUTIS poked his head out, crumbs stuck to his fur. Instead of fleeing, he grabbed one bag and held it up proudly, as if saying, “I want this one.”
The shopkeeper sighed, carried him outside, and gently placed him on the ground.
“Go home, little troublemaker,” the man said.
CUTIS, however, took that as a challenge.
CUTIS Joins a Parade of Chickens

As he walked away from the shop, a group of chickens passed by, clucking loudly like they were on a mission. CUTIS froze. Their formation was impressive—like an army marching.
Then one chicken turned, stared at him, and clucked.
CUTIS blinked.
The chicken clucked again.
CUTIS interpreted this as:
“You want to join? Follow us.”
So he did.
He marched behind the chickens, mimicking their movements proudly. People along the road stared in confusion.
One lady pointed:
“Is that… a monkey marching with chickens?”
CUTIS lifted his chin, feeling extremely important.
But the “parade” ended abruptly when the chickens stopped at a compost heap. They began digging through food scraps. CUTIS gagged dramatically.
“OMG… ew… no thank you.”
He backed away slowly—but bumped right into someone.
Mom Finds Him

It was Mom.
Her eyes were wide with shock and relief. She had been looking everywhere since discovering the door open.
“CUTIS! You scared me!” she exclaimed, scooping him into her arms.
CUTIS felt his little heart thump. He wrapped his arms around her neck tightly and buried his face against her chest. He wasn’t afraid to admit it—he was happy to be found.
Mom sighed and kissed his head. “You silly boy… secretly leaving like that. OMG, CUTIS… don’t do that again.”
CUTIS peeked up, blinking innocently.
Then he remembered something.
He reached into his fur—and pulled out a bag of banana chips he had secretly taken from the pile.
Mom gasped. “CUTIS! You stole that?!”
CUTIS quickly hugged her again to distract her.
Mom shook her head, torn between scolding and laughing. “Let’s go home. You’re unbelievable.”
Back Home & Unexpected Surprise

When they returned, Baby Monkey ran to him immediately, crying, “CUTIS! I thought you gone forever!”
CUTIS puffed his chest proudly, acting like a returning hero.
Mom opened her closet and pulled out the colorful gift. “This is what you were trying to find, right?”
CUTIS’s jaw dropped. He nodded enthusiastically.
Mom unwrapped it for him.
Inside was a soft, warm blanket with tiny bananas printed all over it.
CUTIS squealed with joy, wrapped himself in it like a burrito, and rolled around the floor.
Baby Monkey laughed, Mom shook her head, and CUTIS finally felt safe and cozy again.
The Final OMG
As CUTIS lay wrapped in his new blanket, munching his stolen banana chips, he whispered dramatically:
“I go out once… and whole world go crazy. OMG.”
Everyone burst into laughter.
CUTIS winked.
Adventure: accomplished.
