The morning sun shone softly over the small village, casting a warm glow on the streets and the little houses nestled between the trees. The air was filled with the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. But for CUTIS, the day held a special kind of excitement—one that had nothing to do with the ordinary bustle of the village. Today, he was going to spend time in the loving arms of Uncle Tu and CUBIS, two of the people who had always brought him comfort, laughter, and a deep sense of belonging.
CUTIS had woken earlier than usual that morning. The chirping of the birds seemed louder, the sunlight brighter, as if the world itself knew how joyful he felt. His little feet carried him quickly down the path toward Uncle Tu’s house, the small backpack on his shoulders bouncing slightly with each step. The thought of being with Uncle Tu and CUBIS made his heart race with happiness.
When he arrived, the first thing he noticed was the warm, familiar smile of Uncle Tu, who was sitting on the porch, sipping tea. Uncle Tu’s eyes twinkled when he saw CUTIS running toward him.
“Ah, there he is!” Uncle Tu exclaimed warmly, opening his arms wide. CUTIS didn’t hesitate for a second. He ran straight into those loving arms, feeling the comforting weight and warmth that only Uncle Tu could provide. He hugged him tightly, burying his face in the familiar fabric of Uncle Tu’s shirt.

“You’ve grown so much since the last time I saw you!” Uncle Tu said, ruffling CUTIS’s hair gently. CUTIS laughed, a little squeal of pure happiness escaping him. He loved how Uncle Tu always made him feel safe and cherished, as if nothing in the world could ever go wrong when he was around.
But Uncle Tu wasn’t the only person waiting to share his affection. From the side of the porch, CUBIS emerged, a mischievous grin on his face. CUBIS was younger than Uncle Tu, full of energy, and always ready for playful antics, but there was a softness in his eyes that made CUTIS feel cherished in a completely different way.
CUTIS squealed again, this time with delight, as CUBIS crouched down and swept him into his arms, spinning him around in a gentle whirl. CUTIS laughed and kicked his legs happily, feeling the double warmth and love from the two people who had become like family.
“Look at this happy little guy!” CUBIS exclaimed, holding CUTIS high so he could see the garden around them. “You’re glowing today, CUTIS!”
CUTIS giggled and reached for Uncle Tu, tugging him closer so he could hug both at once. The three of them stood together in the morning sunlight, a perfect picture of love, laughter, and family. CUTIS’s heart felt full, almost like it might burst with happiness.
After a few minutes of warm embraces and laughter, Uncle Tu suggested they go into the garden to pick some fresh fruits and vegetables. CUTIS loved the garden—it was a place of discovery, where he could climb small trees, chase butterflies, and help Uncle Tu and CUBIS with the day’s harvest.
CUTIS ran ahead, his little feet barely touching the ground as he darted toward the tomato plants. CUBIS followed, chuckling, while Uncle Tu walked slowly behind them, enjoying the sight of their playful energy.

“Careful, CUTIS!” CUBIS called. “Don’t squish the tomatoes!”
CUTIS giggled and picked one gently, holding it up proudly for Uncle Tu and CUBIS to see. They both nodded approvingly, praising him, which made CUTIS beam even brighter.
As they worked together, the bond between the three became more evident. CUTIS loved helping Uncle Tu and CUBIS, not just because it was fun, but because it made him feel needed, important, and part of something bigger. Uncle Tu showed him how to gently pull weeds without harming the plants, and CUBIS taught him how to carefully pick the ripest fruits, explaining the little details that made each piece perfect. CUTIS listened intently, following every instruction, and feeling proud every time he succeeded.
After the work in the garden, it was time for a little rest. The trio settled under the shade of a large mango tree. CUTIS nestled comfortably between Uncle Tu and CUBIS, feeling their arms around him. The breeze made the leaves whisper softly, and for a while, there was nothing but the warmth of their embrace and the quiet joy of being together.
CUTIS looked up at Uncle Tu. “I love being with you,” he whispered softly.
Uncle Tu smiled, brushing a strand of hair from CUTIS’s forehead. “We love having you with us too, CUTIS,” he replied gently. “You bring so much happiness to our days.”
CUBIS leaned in, giving CUTIS a playful squeeze. “And don’t forget—you make us laugh all the time! We’re lucky to have such a cheerful little guy.”
CUTIS’s heart swelled with joy. He felt completely safe and cherished, and that feeling made him giggle and hug them both even tighter.

The afternoon continued with games and laughter. They played hide-and-seek among the trees, ran races across the yard, and even tried balancing on the low stone wall without falling. CUTIS squealed every time CUBIS pretended to fall, only to catch himself at the last second, making CUTIS laugh so hard he nearly toppled over. Uncle Tu joined in as well, pretending to chase them slowly, letting them win in the most gentle and playful way.
Even when they paused to rest, CUTIS stayed close, resting his head on Uncle Tu’s shoulder while CUBIS gently held his hand. It was a day full of joy, yet it was more than just play—it was love in action. Every hug, every gentle word, every shared laugh reinforced the deep bond they had with each other. CUTIS felt like he was exactly where he belonged, surrounded by people who understood and cherished him completely.
As evening approached, the sky turned soft shades of pink and orange. They gathered the remaining fruits from the garden, carrying them back to the kitchen. CUTIS helped arrange everything neatly, proud of the work he had done with Uncle Tu and CUBIS. The three of them stood together, admiring the fruits of their labor. CUTIS’s chest swelled with pride, not just for the harvest, but for the love that connected them.
Before heading inside, CUTIS looked up at Uncle Tu and CUBIS, a huge smile on his face. “Thank you for today,” he said softly. “I had so much fun.”
Uncle Tu hugged him gently. “We had fun too, CUTIS. Every day with you is special.”

CUBIS bent down, wrapping CUTIS in his arms once more. “And remember, little buddy,” he said with a wink, “you always have a place in our arms, no matter what.”
CUTIS squeaked happily and hugged them both back, feeling a warmth that went beyond happiness. It was the comfort of family, the joy of unconditional love, and the security of knowing he was valued and cherished.
That night, as CUTIS lay in bed, he thought about the day. The laughter, the play, the gentle care from Uncle Tu and CUBIS—it all felt magical. He realized that happiness wasn’t just about fun or games, but about being surrounded by love, about having people who made him feel safe, important, and truly cherished.
Even in his dreams, CUTIS found himself back in their arms, laughing, playing, and feeling the warmth that only family can give. He knew, deep in his heart, that no matter where life took him, the love and bond he shared with Uncle Tu and CUBIS would always be his safe haven—a place where joy, care, and affection were endless.
And so, CUTIS drifted off to sleep that night, happy, content, and wrapped in the invisible but unbreakable embrace of love and family. ❤️🐒
