The sun rose over the quiet little house at the edge of the forest, spreading warm light across the banana trees and the wooden fence where CUTIS and baby monkey often played. But this morning, something unusual was happening. Inside the hut, Mom was organizing a big basket filled with baby supplies — bottles, diapers, wipes, powder, tiny clothes, and even baby lotion.
Mom was preparing for the arrival of a new baby cousin who was coming to stay for a few days. Everything had to be perfect.
“CUTIS!” Mom called out. “Don’t touch anything in this basket, okay? These are special baby things!”
CUTIS nodded quickly, pretending to listen. “Yes, Mom! I won’t touch!”
But as soon as Mom turned her back to wash clothes near the river, CUTIS’s mischievous eyes sparkled. He turned to baby monkey, who was sitting on a stool eating a banana.
“Baby monkey,” CUTIS whispered excitedly, “come here! Let’s see what’s inside this basket.”
Baby monkey’s ears perked up. “Mom said don’t touch!” he replied, his mouth full of banana.
CUTIS grinned. “We’re not touching. We’re just looking! Big difference!”

Baby monkey tilted his head, thinking. “Hmm… okay. Just looking.”
They both tiptoed toward the basket like little detectives on a secret mission. CUTIS lifted the blanket covering it — and their eyes widened in wonder.
“Whoa! So many strange things!” CUTIS exclaimed.
Inside were shiny baby bottles, soft towels, powder, lotion, tiny socks, and a pack of diapers that looked like fluffy clouds. To CUTIS and baby monkey, it looked like treasure.
“What’s this?” baby monkey asked, holding up a baby bottle. “Is it for drinking juice?”
CUTIS shrugged. “Maybe! Let’s test!”
He grabbed the bottle, filled it with banana juice, and started drinking. The small rubber nipple made the juice come out slowly, and CUTIS had to suck really hard. Baby monkey laughed so hard he nearly fell off the stool.
“HAHA! CUTIS drinks like a baby!” he squealed.
CUTIS giggled too, juice dripping from his mouth. “It’s hard but kinda fun!”
Then baby monkey picked up a diaper and stretched it curiously. “What this soft thing for?” he asked.
CUTIS, who liked to act like he knew everything, puffed up his chest. “That’s a hat!”
“A hat?” baby monkey repeated doubtfully.
“Of course!” CUTIS said confidently. “Look!”
He placed the diaper on his head like a crown. The sticky straps clung to his fur, and the sight was so funny that baby monkey burst out laughing again.
“HAHAHA! King Diaper! Long live the king!”

CUTIS laughed too, striking royal poses with the diaper hat still on. Then baby monkey decided he wanted one too. He grabbed another diaper and tried to wear it on his face like a mask — but it covered his whole head, and he stumbled around blindly, bumping into everything.
“CUTIS! I can’t see!” he cried.
“Take it off!” CUTIS shouted, laughing uncontrollably. “You look like a walking pillow!”
They both laughed so hard their stomachs hurt.
After a few minutes of chaos, CUTIS spotted a small bottle of baby powder. “What’s this white dust?” he wondered. He shook it gently — puff! — a cloud of powder flew out, making both of them sneeze.
“Ah-choo! Ah-choo!”
Baby monkey coughed, waving his hands. “CUTIS! It smells nice!”
CUTIS sniffed again. “It does! Let’s use it as perfume!”
Before baby monkey could stop him, CUTIS started sprinkling powder all over himself. Soon, his fur was completely white. Baby monkey laughed so much that tears rolled down his face.
“You look like snow monkey!” he cried.
CUTIS posed dramatically. “I am CUTIS, the Snow King!”
Not wanting to be left out, baby monkey grabbed the powder bottle and started sprinkling himself too. Within seconds, both monkeys were covered in white powder, sneezing and laughing nonstop.

Then CUTIS noticed a small jar labeled “baby lotion.” He opened it, sniffed, and smiled. “Mmm! Smells like flowers!”
“Can I try?” baby monkey asked eagerly.
“Of course!” CUTIS said. “But lotion is sticky. You rub it like this.”
They started rubbing lotion all over their arms and tails. The more they rubbed, the slipperier they became. When CUTIS tried to stand, his foot slipped, and he fell straight onto his back. Thud!
“Waaah!” he shouted, sliding across the floor like it was made of ice.
Baby monkey tried to help but ended up slipping too. Now both of them were sliding and bumping into things, giggling uncontrollably.
“This is so fun!” CUTIS laughed. “Let’s make lotion slide park!”
They poured more lotion on the floor and began sliding back and forth like penguins. It was chaos — pure, hilarious chaos.
At one point, baby monkey tried to stop himself by grabbing the edge of the baby basket… but instead, he pulled it down! All the supplies spilled everywhere — bottles rolling, towels flying, diapers scattering like snow.

CUTIS gasped. “Uh-oh… Mom’s gonna be mad!”
For a few seconds, they both froze. The room was a total disaster — lotion on the floor, powder in the air, diapers everywhere.
Then CUTIS whispered, “Okay… we clean fast before she comes back!”
They grabbed towels and tried wiping the floor, but since the towels were also baby supplies, they were soft and tiny — completely useless. The more they wiped, the slipperier the floor became. CUTIS slipped again, taking baby monkey down with him.
“CUTIS! Stop wiping! You’re making it worse!” baby monkey shouted, sliding into the basket again.
Just then, they heard footsteps.
“Oh no,” CUTIS whispered. “Mom’s coming!”
Mom entered the room — and froze. Her eyes widened at the sight: white powder floating in the air, CUTIS and baby monkey completely covered in lotion and diapers, and the baby basket upside down.
“CUTIS!!!” she shouted. “What in the jungle happened here?!”
CUTIS pointed at baby monkey immediately. “He started it!”
“CUTIS liar!” baby monkey yelled. “He said diaper is hat!”
Mom didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Both of them looked so ridiculous that she had to cover her mouth to hide a smile. CUTIS’s fur was white like snow, and baby monkey still had a diaper stuck to his head.
Mom sighed deeply. “You two… always turning my quiet morning into circus!”

She helped them clean up, though she kept chuckling the whole time. CUTIS and baby monkey apologized, their faces red with embarrassment — and a bit of leftover powder.
After everything was tidy again, Mom said sternly, “Now, no more touching baby supplies. Understand?”
“Yes, Mom,” both monkeys said quietly.
But as soon as she turned around, baby monkey whispered, “CUTIS, next time we make snowstorm again?”
CUTIS grinned. “Only if you wear diaper hat again!”
They both burst into laughter.
That evening, when Dad came home, he sniffed the air and said, “Why does the house smell like lotion and powder?”
Mom glared at CUTIS and baby monkey. “Ask your sons.”
Dad looked at them — still a little shiny and smelling like baby cream — and couldn’t help laughing. “I don’t know what you two did, but it smells… clean!”
CUTIS laughed too, scratching his head. “Yeah, Dad! We just wanted to help!”
Everyone burst out laughing again, and soon the whole house was filled with joy.
Moral of the story:
Sometimes curiosity leads to funny chaos — but laughter makes every mistake unforgettable. And even the strangest mess can turn into the sweetest memory. 😂🐒
