It was a bright morning at the farm, the kind of morning when everything feels alive — birds chirping, sunlight spilling through the trees, and the sweet smell of ripe fruit in the air. CUTIS, the clever monkey, was already awake, stretching his little arms and blinking at the golden sky. Beside him, his playful partner, Baby Monkey, was still yawning, rubbing his sleepy eyes with tiny hands.
But today wasn’t just any ordinary morning. There was something very special happening — their beloved Mom was pregnant! The farmer had told them gently a few days earlier, and ever since then, CUTIS and Baby Monkey had been whispering to each other, plotting and planning something amazing. They wanted to take care of her — not just in any way, but in the most special and surprising way ever.
CUTIS was the thinker of the duo — smart, observant, and always ready to take the lead. Baby Monkey, on the other hand, was the emotional one — curious, affectionate, and sometimes a little clumsy. But when it came to Mom, they both had one heart. They loved her endlessly.
As soon as they finished breakfast, CUTIS sat Baby Monkey down under their favorite mango tree. He made a serious face, which immediately caught Baby Monkey’s attention.
“Eeek eeek!” CUTIS began, waving his hands as if he was giving a speech. Baby Monkey tilted his head, listening carefully. CUTIS pointed at the house where Mom was resting, then made a cradle gesture with his arms — rocking an imaginary baby. Baby Monkey gasped and nodded excitedly.
The plan was clear: they would prepare everything Mom might need. Snacks, clean space, comfort, and maybe even a few surprises to make her smile.
Their first mission — collecting food.

CUTIS led the way, climbing high up into the fruit trees. He picked bananas, papayas, and even a few mangoes — all Mom’s favorites. Baby Monkey followed, but being smaller, he struggled a little. He tried to reach for a banana but slipped, hanging from the branch by his tail. CUTIS chuckled, grabbed his hand, and pulled him up safely.
“Eeek!” Baby Monkey squealed, blushing in embarrassment, but CUTIS gave him a friendly pat on the back. They continued their fruit hunt, working together until they had a big pile of fresh fruit. CUTIS carefully placed them in a basket and carried it back, while Baby Monkey proudly carried one mango like it was treasure.
Next, they decided to prepare Mom’s resting area.
They sneaked into the house, tiptoeing like two little detectives. Mom was resting on a mat, peacefully sleeping. CUTIS quietly motioned for Baby Monkey to bring soft leaves and tiny flowers from the garden. They decorated the mat with petals, arranged the fruit basket beside it, and even placed a cool water bowl nearby.
CUTIS looked around, nodding in satisfaction. Baby Monkey clapped his hands happily — their surprise was coming together beautifully.
But CUTIS wasn’t done yet. He had one more big idea.

He whispered his plan into Baby Monkey’s ear — they would perform a “special surprise show” for Mom when she woke up! Something to make her laugh, feel loved, and know how much they cared.
Baby Monkey’s eyes sparkled. He loved performing. The last time he tried, though, he accidentally tripped over a basket and fell into a tub of water — but that didn’t matter now. This was for Mom!
So, the two started rehearsing. CUTIS picked up two small sticks and started tapping them like drums. Baby Monkey danced around, spinning, jumping, and even pretending to juggle fruit. CUTIS joined in, playing music and clapping his hands. It was chaotic but adorable — like a circus designed entirely by monkeys.
Suddenly, they heard a soft yawn from inside. Mom was waking up!
Both froze for a second, then sprang into action. CUTIS gave Baby Monkey a quick nod. They jumped to their positions — CUTIS with his drumsticks, Baby Monkey in the center with a bright flower crown he made himself.
Mom slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes. When she saw the decorated space, the basket of fruit, and her two little monkeys standing proudly, her heart melted instantly.
CUTIS started the show — tap tap tap! — drumming on a coconut shell rhythmically. Baby Monkey began to dance, spinning and making silly faces. CUTIS added funny monkey sounds in the background, and soon both were laughing and performing with full energy.

Mom clapped her hands, giggling with joy. The happiness on her face made all their effort worth it. CUTIS even did a bow at the end, while Baby Monkey jumped into Mom’s arms, hugging her tightly.
She cuddled them both, whispering, “You two are the sweetest helpers in the world.”
But the surprises weren’t over yet.
CUTIS remembered something else — Mom’s favorite blanket. He ran off, rummaged through their little storage box, and came back carrying a soft blanket with tiny hearts on it. Together with Baby Monkey, he gently tucked it around Mom. Baby Monkey brought her a small flower and placed it near her hand.
Mom looked down at them, her eyes shining with love. “You two always know how to make me smile,” she said softly. CUTIS looked proud. Baby Monkey grinned from ear to ear.
Then, CUTIS noticed something — Mom looked a little tired. He immediately made a gesture for Baby Monkey to stay quiet. They tiptoed away, whispering and giggling softly as they left her to rest peacefully.
Outside, the two sat together on the porch, feeling accomplished. They watched the sunlight dancing on the leaves and high-fived (or high-pawed) each other.
But then Baby Monkey’s curiosity took over again. He looked up at CUTIS and squeaked, as if to say, “What happens when the baby comes?”

CUTIS smiled — or at least, the monkey version of a smile. He pointed at the sky, then made a small rocking motion with his arms again. Baby Monkey gasped in realization — they would soon have a tiny sibling!
The thought filled them both with excitement. CUTIS immediately started planning in his mind again — how to build a little bed, how to help feed the baby, and how to make sure Mom never had to worry. Baby Monkey ran around in circles, imagining what it would be like to have a baby monkey to play with.
As the days passed, their care for Mom grew even stronger. Every morning, they brought her fruit and water. They gently massaged her back, fanned her when it was hot, and sat quietly by her side when she needed rest. Sometimes, CUTIS would hum softly while Baby Monkey stroked Mom’s arm with his tiny hand.
The farmer watched this bond with amazement. He couldn’t believe how much love and intelligence these two little monkeys showed. “You two are going to be the best big brothers ever,” he said one afternoon, smiling proudly.

Finally, the big day came when Mom went into labor. CUTIS and Baby Monkey waited nervously outside the room, holding each other tightly. The farmer helped Mom safely, and after a while, they heard the tiniest cry — a new baby monkey had arrived!
CUTIS’s eyes widened, and Baby Monkey squeaked excitedly. They peeked inside and saw the newborn, tiny and pink, curled up against Mom.
They both climbed onto the bed carefully, looking at the baby with pure wonder. CUTIS placed a small flower beside the baby, while Baby Monkey gently touched its tiny hand. Mom smiled through her tiredness, tears in her eyes.
CUTIS and Baby Monkey leaned close, giving their new sibling a soft kiss on the forehead. The farmer captured that moment on camera — three monkeys together, a family full of love and laughter.
Their plan had worked. They had cared for Mom in the most special, surprising, and heartwarming way imaginable — not just with fruits and flowers, but with love that needed no words.
And as the sun set that evening, CUTIS and Baby Monkey sat beside their sleeping Mom and new baby brother, watching the orange glow of the sky. Baby Monkey whispered softly, “Eeek…” — his way of saying, “We did it.”
CUTIS nodded proudly. Together, they had given Mom the greatest gift — the gift of love, care, and unforgettable happiness. 🤩🐒💕
