The golden afternoon sunlight streamed gently through the bamboo trees, and the air was filled with the soft hum of nature. In a small, peaceful village, laughter and animal sounds mixed in perfect harmony. In one cozy corner of that village, a baby monkey named Lele was preparing for something very special — his bath time!
Lele was a little monkey with bright, curious eyes and soft, golden fur that glowed like honey in the light. He was playful and loved to jump, climb, and swing from one chair to another. His owner, Nina, adored him deeply. She had raised him since he was a few days old, feeding him milk from a bottle, keeping him warm, and teaching him to trust people. Every day, Nina took care of Lele as if he were her own child.
But there was one thing Lele wasn’t too sure about — baths. He loved playing in water but didn’t always like getting cleaned.

That afternoon, Nina noticed Lele’s fur was dusty from rolling around in the garden. His little hands were sticky from eating banana slices and honey. “Oh dear, look at you!” she giggled, scooping him up. “You’re such a messy boy today. Time for a nice, warm bath!”
Lele tilted his head, blinking as if asking, “Now? Really?” But Nina had already started filling a small blue basin with warm water. She added a gentle baby soap that smelled like coconut milk. The scent floated through the air, calming and sweet.
As soon as Lele saw the water, he squeaked softly and climbed up Nina’s arm, hugging her tightly. “No, no, don’t be afraid,” she said lovingly. “It’s just warm water. You’ll feel fresh afterward!” She gently set him down beside the basin, dipping her hand into the water to show him it wasn’t scary.
Lele reached out his tiny hand, touched the water, and pulled back quickly. Then, curious as always, he did it again. When he realized it wasn’t too hot or too cold, he smiled — a funny little grin that always melted Nina’s heart.

“Good boy,” Nina praised. She dipped him slowly into the water, starting with his feet. Lele gasped softly but didn’t struggle. The warm water surrounded him, and soon his body began to relax. His fur darkened as it soaked, making him look even tinier. Nina giggled. “Aww, look at my little wet monkey!”
Lele blinked as the first soap bubbles formed around him. Nina gently rubbed his arms and legs, careful not to get soap in his eyes. The baby monkey started to enjoy the sensation. He splashed a little with his hands, making water droplets fly everywhere.
“Hey! You’re making a mess again!” Nina laughed, covering her face as Lele playfully splashed her. The baby monkey squealed in delight, his laughter echoing like tiny chirps.
The bath became more like playtime. Lele dipped his head in and out of the water, trying to catch the bubbles that floated past. His tail swished happily, sending ripples across the basin. Nina couldn’t stop smiling — it was moments like these that made all her care worthwhile.

After the washing was done, she carefully poured clean water over him to rinse the soap away. Lele sat still this time, letting the warm stream run down his back. He even tilted his head, enjoying the soothing feeling.
“All clean!” Nina said cheerfully. She lifted him out of the basin and wrapped him in a fluffy towel. Lele’s eyes half-closed as she rubbed him dry, his body snuggled against her chest. The towel smelled like sunshine, and the soft fabric made him feel cozy and safe.
Nina gently dried his face, then used a small brush to comb his damp fur. “There, my handsome boy,” she whispered. Lele reached up with his tiny fingers and touched her cheek, as if to say thank you.
Once he was dry, she placed him on her lap. Lele curled up, wrapping his tail around himself. He looked peaceful and content. Nina kissed the top of his head and whispered, “See? Bath time isn’t so bad after all.”
But the story didn’t end there.
As the evening breeze drifted in through the open window, Lele suddenly perked up. He had spotted his favorite toy — a small red rubber duck floating near the basin. Quick as a flash, he jumped from Nina’s lap, grabbed the duck, and dropped it back into the water with a splash!
“Lele!” Nina exclaimed, but she couldn’t help laughing. The little monkey clapped his hands and began splashing again, this time playing on his own. He pushed the duck across the basin, pretending it was swimming. Then he dipped his hands in, blew bubbles, and squealed with delight.
Watching him play, Nina felt her heart swell with affection. Raising a baby monkey wasn’t always easy — there were sleepless nights, spilled bottles, and endless mischief — but moments like these made everything worth it.
As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky in orange and pink, Nina decided to give Lele his evening milk. She picked him up, dried his hands, and handed him his bottle. Lele drank slowly, eyes heavy with sleep. The warmth of the milk and the comfort of being clean made him drowsy.
“Good night, little one,” Nina whispered, stroking his soft fur.
Lele gave a tiny yawn and nuzzled into her arm. Within minutes, he was asleep, his chest rising and falling with each peaceful breath. The rubber duck floated quietly in the basin, a reminder of their playful bath time.
Nina smiled and looked out the window. The first stars were beginning to twinkle above the trees. She thought about how much her life had changed since Lele came into it — the laughter, the lessons, and the love.
Every bath, every bottle, every playful moment reminded her that caring for another life was a gift. Lele wasn’t just a pet; he was family.
Before heading to bed, Nina carefully placed Lele in his soft little basket, lined with a tiny blanket. The baby monkey curled up instantly, his tail tucked close, his face peaceful and clean. Nina whispered, “Sweet dreams, my baby.”
Outside, the night was calm, and the moonlight bathed the small house in silver. From the basket came a soft sound — a tiny sigh of contentment from a clean, happy baby monkey.
And as Nina turned off the light, she smiled to herself, knowing that tomorrow would bring another day full of love, laughter, and maybe… another splashy bath adventure.
The End. 🐵🛁💦
