Day 1 – Simple Full Body | 7 Day Beach Self Love Yoga Series

Welcome to Day 1 of your 7 Day Beach Self Love Yoga Series! Today, we begin with a gentle, simple full-body flow that sets the tone for the rest of the week—a journey of connection, kindness, and care for yourself. Whether you’re joining from a sandy shoreline or simply imagining the sound of the waves, let this practice be a gift to your mind, body, and heart.

We begin by arriving. Find a comfortable seated position, close your eyes, and take three slow, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose, feeling your belly expand, and exhale through your mouth, letting go of any tension. Imagine the warmth of the sun gently kissing your skin and the cool ocean breeze brushing against your cheeks. Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment.

As we move into the physical practice, we focus on awakening and energizing the whole body. Our sequence begins with neck rolls and shoulder shrugs to release any stiffness. Gentle side stretches open the ribs and torso, creating space for breath and movement. With each stretch, feel gratitude for your body and all it allows you to experience.

We transition into Cat-Cow poses on all fours, syncing breath with motion. The spine wakes up, and the heart opens. You might already notice how even the simplest movements can create calm and clarity. From here, we move through a modified Sun Salutation—standing tall in Mountain Pose, folding forward, stepping back into a gentle plank, and flowing into Cobra. Each pose is done slowly and mindfully, with an emphasis on ease rather than intensity.

Throughout the sequence, remember: this isn’t about perfection or pushing limits. It’s about listening. It’s about softening. It’s about cultivating self-love by showing up for yourself with compassion. When you reach Warrior II and feel the strength of your legs grounding into the earth, let it remind you that you are capable and rooted. When you reach upward in Crescent Lunge, let it remind you that you are growing, evolving, and open to light.

As we wind down, we return to the mat for seated forward folds, gentle twists, and a short moment in butterfly pose—symbolizing transformation and beauty. We end with Savasana, lying on your back, arms relaxed, legs stretched out. Feel the whole body melt into the ground. Let the waves of the ocean wash over you in your imagination. Let the breath move naturally. You are safe, you are held, you are loved.

Before closing, place one hand on your heart and one on your belly. Whisper a word of kindness to yourself—something simple like, “I am enough,” or “I am learning to love myself.” This is the essence of the series: reconnecting with your own love.
