Dad took mom to give birth, who did CUTIS & baby monkey stay with?

The day had finally arrived. The sky was soft and golden, with morning birds chirping as if they too sensed something extraordinary was about to happen. Inside the little house, Mom sat on the edge of the bed, holding her belly, breathing slowly. Her face showed both pain and excitement—her baby was ready to come into the world.

Dad, noticing the change, rushed to her side. “It’s time,” he whispered, his voice calm but trembling with joy and nervousness. He quickly gathered the hospital bag, double-checked the baby clothes, and helped Mom into the car.

But at that exact moment, CUTIS and the baby monkey were sitting on the front steps, wide-eyed and confused. CUTIS, the smart and curious child, clutched the little monkey’s hand tightly. The monkey looked around nervously, sensing the rush of emotions in the air.

“Dad, who will take care of us while you take Mom?” CUTIS asked softly, his eyes full of worry.

Dad crouched down and gave him a gentle smile. “Don’t worry, my brave boy. I’ve already asked Auntie to come over. She’ll stay with you until we come back with your new little brother or sister.”

The baby monkey squeaked and wrapped its arms around Dad’s neck, as if asking the same question without words. Dad kissed its furry head and reassured it, “You’ll both be safe. Be good, take care of each other, and listen to Auntie.”

Waiting with Auntie

Soon, Auntie arrived. She was kind and cheerful, with a warm smile that could make any child feel safe. She hugged CUTIS tightly and stroked the monkey’s back. “Today is a very special day,” she said. “Your mom is going to bring home a new baby. Until then, we’ll make sure this house is full of love and laughter.”

CUTIS tried to be brave, but inside he felt torn. He was excited about having a new sibling, yet worried about Mom going through so much pain. The monkey, sensing CUTIS’s emotions, hugged him tightly and refused to let go of his shirt.

Auntie noticed their worry and decided to distract them. “Why don’t we prepare something nice for your mom when she comes home? She’ll be tired, and she’ll need comfort.”

CUTIS’s eyes lit up a little. “Yes! We can make decorations.”

The baby monkey clapped its tiny hands happily.

The Big Idea

Together, they started gathering materials. Auntie found some colorful paper, ribbons, and markers. CUTIS carefully cut out stars and hearts, while the monkey tried to hold the tape, often sticking it to its own fur and making everyone laugh.

“Look, Auntie!” CUTIS shouted proudly, showing a paper star. “This one is for the new baby.”

The monkey made a funny noise, then placed a banana sticker in the middle of its paper heart, as if saying, this is my gift.

By afternoon, the living room was transformed. Bright paper garlands hung across the walls, stars sparkled from the windows, and hearts covered the table. CUTIS and the monkey stood back, admiring their work.

“Mom will love this,” CUTIS whispered.

A Long Wait

But as the evening came, CUTIS started to worry again. The hospital felt so far away, and time moved slowly. “What if something happens?” he asked, his voice trembling.

Auntie hugged him. “Your mom is strong, and your dad is right there with her. Doctors are helping, too. Right now, the best thing you can do is send her your love.”

The monkey climbed onto CUTIS’s lap and pressed its head against his chest. CUTIS hugged it tightly. Together, they closed their eyes and imagined sending a giant wave of love to Mom and Dad.

The Phone Call

Late at night, the phone rang. CUTIS jumped up, his heart racing. Auntie answered, then her face lit up with joy.

“It’s Dad,” she said, turning to CUTIS. “Your mom is safe, and the baby is here!”

CUTIS gasped, his eyes shining. “Is it a boy or a girl?”

Dad’s voice came through the phone, warm and proud. “It’s a baby girl! She’s beautiful, and your mom is resting now.”

The monkey screeched happily, jumping in circles, clapping its tiny hands. CUTIS laughed, tears of joy in his eyes. “I can’t wait to see her!”

Preparing for Mom’s Return

The next morning, CUTIS and the monkey woke up early. They wanted everything to be perfect when Mom and Dad came home with the baby.

CUTIS carefully arranged flowers in a vase, while the monkey ran around, trying to place stuffed animals near the crib. Sometimes it placed them upside down, which made CUTIS giggle.

Auntie helped them bake a simple cake. CUTIS wrote “Welcome Baby” in colorful icing, while the monkey sneakily licked the frosting from the spoon when no one was watching.

The Homecoming

Finally, the sound of the car pulling into the driveway made CUTIS’s heart race. He and the monkey ran to the door.

Dad stepped inside first, carrying bags. Then came Mom, tired but glowing, holding a tiny bundle wrapped in a soft blanket. CUTIS’s breath caught in his throat—inside that bundle was his baby sister.

The monkey tilted its head curiously, then slowly reached out a tiny hand to touch the baby’s blanket. The baby wriggled, let out a small sound, and everyone laughed.

“Welcome home,” CUTIS whispered, his voice full of love. “We decorated everything for you.”

Mom looked around the house, tears filling her eyes as she saw the stars, hearts, and garlands. “This is beautiful,” she said. “You two really took care of everything.”

Dad hugged CUTIS tightly. “I knew I could count on you.”

A New Beginning

That night, the family sat together in the cozy living room. Mom held the baby, Dad sat close by, CUTIS leaned against him, and the monkey nestled happily in CUTIS’s lap.

The baby made soft cooing sounds, and CUTIS gently kissed her forehead. The monkey, not wanting to be left out, also leaned down and gave the baby a tiny nuzzle. Everyone laughed.

Mom stroked CUTIS’s hair. “You’re such a good big brother. And look at our little monkey—it’s already helping take care of the baby too.”

CUTIS smiled proudly. “We’ll protect her. Always.”

And in that moment, CUTIS realized something important. Even though Mom and Dad had to leave for the birth, he and the baby monkey had not been alone. They had each other, they had Auntie’s care, and most importantly, they had discovered the strength of family love that stretched far and wide.

The baby’s gentle breathing filled the room, and for the first time that long day, CUTIS felt calm. Their family was complete, and a brand-new adventure was just beginning.
