It was a sunny and fresh morning when Lala woke up with excitement sparkling in her eyes. Today wasn’t just any ordinary day—it was the day she and CEO Kien were going to the countryside farm to take care of and harvest vegetables for their very own cooking adventure. Lala had never been on a real farm before, and the thought of pulling carrots from the soil, picking tomatoes from the vine, and cooking something with her own hands made her heart leap with joy.
CEO Kien, as always, was organized and ready. He packed a small basket with gloves, gardening tools, sun hats, and a bottle of cold water for each of them. “Let’s go, Lala!” he said with a cheerful smile. Lala grabbed her little straw hat and skipped happily to the car.
The drive to the farm was peaceful. They passed green rice fields, rows of banana trees, and herds of cows grazing lazily under the morning sun. Lala looked out the window in amazement, asking a dozen curious questions about every plant and animal she saw. CEO Kien laughed and answered patiently, proud of Lala’s enthusiasm and curiosity.
When they finally arrived at the farm, the fresh earthy scent and the chirping of birds welcomed them. The farmer, Uncle Vinh, greeted them warmly. “Welcome to my humble farm, little Lala and CEO Kien! Ready to get your hands dirty?”
Lala grinned and nodded eagerly. The farm was full of life—rows of leafy greens, climbing beans, juicy red tomatoes, and even some colorful bell peppers. CEO Kien showed Lala how to gently pull up carrots by the stems and how to twist tomatoes from their vines without damaging the plants. Lala listened closely, then tried it herself.
She laughed in surprise when a little carrot popped out with a clump of soil still clinging to it. “Look! I got it!” she shouted, holding it high. Her hands were already brown with dirt, but she didn’t mind one bit.

They worked their way through the garden, picking spinach, cutting eggplants, and collecting cucumbers. Lala carefully placed each vegetable into their basket, trying not to squash the softer ones. CEO Kien showed her how to recognize when something was ripe or overgrown, and even let her water some plants using a metal watering can. She giggled as she splashed a little water on her own shoes.
After about two hours of harvesting and caring for the garden, they had a full basket of fresh, healthy vegetables. Uncle Vinh clapped his hands and said, “You two are natural farmers! Now, what will you cook with all this goodness?”
CEO Kien winked at Lala. “Let’s go home and find out!”
Back at home, they washed the vegetables together in the kitchen sink. Lala was fascinated watching the water change color as the soil rinsed away. She helped scrub the carrots and dry the tomatoes. CEO Kien handed her a little apron with a bunny on it. “Ready to cook, Chef Lala?” he asked.
“YES!” she squealed.
They decided to make a vegetable stir-fry, a fresh salad, and some eggplant soup. CEO Kien did the chopping while Lala helped by tearing lettuce, mixing sauces, and arranging the vegetables on plates.
The kitchen was filled with warm smells—garlic sizzling, carrots softening, and the aroma of basil drifting through the air. Lala stood on a stool beside the stove, watching closely but carefully, making sure to stay safe. CEO Kien let her stir the pan slowly with a wooden spoon.

“This smells soooo good!” Lala said, licking her lips.
“You helped grow and pick this food, Lala. That’s what makes it taste even better,” CEO Kien told her.
They sat down at the table with colorful plates of healthy, delicious food. Lala took a bite of the stir-fried vegetables and her eyes lit up. “It’s amazing! The carrots are sweet, and the spinach is soft!”
CEO Kien smiled. “That’s the magic of fresh, homegrown food. And the best part? You were part of it from beginning to end.”
They ate happily, chatting about their favorite parts of the day. Lala loved pulling up carrots and watering the plants. CEO Kien said he enjoyed seeing Lala learn and laugh. It wasn’t just a trip to the farm—it was a meaningful day of bonding, learning, and healthy living.

After lunch, Lala helped clean the dishes. Then she drew a picture of herself and CEO Kien in the garden, with big vegetables and smiling sunflowers all around. She proudly stuck it on the fridge and titled it: “Best Day Ever at the Farm.”
As the sun began to set, Lala curled up next to CEO Kien on the couch, tired but happy. He looked down at her and said, “Would you like to visit the farm again next weekend?”
Lala nodded sleepily. “Yes… and maybe we can plant something too…”
CEO Kien wrapped a soft blanket around her. “Then that’s what we’ll do.”
And just like that, a new tradition was born—one filled with soil-stained hands, laughter under the sun, and meals made with love.
The End.
