The golden afternoon sun was dipping low, casting a warm glow over the farm. The fields were alive with the scent of fresh vegetables and herbs. Lala, a cheerful little girl with bright eyes and an endless supply of energy, had spent the entire day helping her mom harvest crops. With a wide-brimmed straw hat slightly tilted on her head, she had picked tomatoes, cucumbers, and bundles of fragrant lemongrass with her tiny hands. Her laughter had filled the fields as she chased after butterflies between the rows of plants.
By the time they returned to the farmhouse, Lala was covered in tiny specks of dirt. Her cheeks were flushed pink from the sun, and her clothes were sprinkled with soil and leaves. “You worked so hard today, Lala,” her mom said with a proud smile as she gently brushed dirt from Lala’s face. “I think you deserve something very special to relax.”
Lala’s eyes widened. “Special? What is it, Mom?” she asked, her curiosity sparking like a little firework.
“Today,” her mom replied with a mysterious grin, “you’re going to have a relaxing herbal bath, just like the ones I prepare when I want to feel fresh and calm after working on the farm.”
The thought of a bath filled with herbs and flowers sounded magical to Lala. “Herbal bath? Will it smell nice? Will there be flowers floating in the water?” she asked, bouncing on her toes.
“Yes, my little farmer,” her mom chuckled. “We’ll make the water warm and fragrant with natural herbs and petals. It will help you feel refreshed and take away all the tiredness from your hardworking day.”

Preparing the Herbal Bath
The first step was to gather the ingredients. Lala followed her mom into the garden, where they collected fresh lemongrass, mint leaves, basil, and a handful of chamomile flowers. The fragrance of these herbs filled the air as they picked them one by one. Lala held the basket and sniffed every herb they collected, her face lighting up with joy.
“Mom, the mint smells so cool! And these flowers look like tiny suns,” Lala said, holding up a chamomile blossom.
Her mom smiled. “Yes, these will make the bath water smell sweet and soothing. You’ll feel like you’re in a little spa.”
Back in the kitchen, they placed the herbs into a big pot of boiling water. The steam carried a delightful aroma that made the entire house smell like a herbal garden. Lala watched in awe as her mom poured the herbal infusion into a wooden bathtub, adding warm water until it was just the right temperature.
To make the bath even more special, her mom scattered rose petals on the surface of the water. “It’s like a flower pond!” Lala exclaimed, clapping her hands. “I want to jump in right now!”
“Not so fast,” her mom laughed, gently wiping Lala’s face and hands with a soft towel. “We need to clean off all the dirt first before you soak in the bath.”
The Relaxing Bath
When Lala finally stepped into the herbal bath, a wave of warmth and fragrance surrounded her. She let out a content sigh. “Oh wow… it feels so soft and warm!” she said, dipping her fingers in and swirling the petals around.
Her mom poured a small cup of the herbal water over Lala’s hair. “Close your eyes, sweetie. These herbs will make your skin feel soft and your hair shiny.”
As the warm water trickled down her scalp, Lala giggled. “It tickles, Mom! But it smells like a garden. I love it!”
Her mom used a soft sponge to gently clean Lala’s arms and legs. The day’s dust and dirt melted away, leaving her skin glowing. “You worked like a true farmer today,” her mom said warmly. “You picked so many vegetables and even helped carry baskets. You deserve this relaxing time.”
Lala leaned back in the water, feeling her muscles relax. The floating petals brushed her skin, and she pretended they were little fairies dancing around her. “Mom, can I have herbal baths every day? It’s like magic water!”
Her mom chuckled. “Not every day, but we can do it after special days on the farm. It’s not just about getting clean, but also about relaxing your mind and body.”

Special Care After the Bath
When the bath was over, her mom wrapped Lala in a fluffy towel that smelled faintly of lavender. Lala’s hair was soft and damp, and her cheeks looked even rosier. Her mom carefully brushed her hair, untangling each strand with gentle strokes.
“Now it’s time for a little lotion,” her mom said, squeezing a bit of homemade herbal lotion onto her hands. She massaged it into Lala’s arms and legs, making her giggle again. “It feels like you’re painting my skin with flowers,” Lala laughed.
Her mom smiled and kissed her forehead. “It’s just special care for my hardworking little girl.”
To make the evening even cozier, they both sat by the window, sipping warm honey tea and watching the sun set behind the farm. The sky turned shades of pink and gold, just like the petals that had floated in Lala’s bath.

A Sweet Ending
That night, as her mom tucked her into bed, Lala felt lighter and happier than ever. Her skin smelled of fresh herbs, and her hair was silky soft. She hugged her favorite stuffed rabbit and whispered, “Mom, today was the best day. I love the farm, but I love the herbal bath even more.”
Her mom chuckled softly. “I’m glad you enjoyed it, my love. Tomorrow, the vegetables you helped pick will be on our table, and every time you eat them, you’ll remember how much fun we had today.”
Lala nodded sleepily, her eyes half-closed. “Next time, can we add more flowers to the bath? Maybe some daisies too?”
“Of course,” her mom said, brushing a strand of hair from Lala’s face. “Now rest well, my little farmer. You’ve earned your dreams tonight.”
With a content smile, Lala drifted into sleep, dreaming of magical flower baths and sunny fields.
