Deep in the heart of the lush, green jungle, where the vines swayed like playful dancers and the rivers murmured with laughter, lived a mischievous golden retriever named Cutis. Cutis was not an ordinary dog—he was the naughtiest creature in the jungle, always up to some trick or another. But despite his playful pranks, he was loved by all, especially by a baby monkey named Momo.

Momo was small, energetic, and full of endless curiosity. He adored Cutis and followed him everywhere, hoping to learn some of his clever tricks. But Cutis was always one step ahead, secretly playing pranks that made Momo squeal with excitement and joy.
One sunny morning, as the jungle woke up to the sweet chirping of birds, Cutis stretched his golden fur under the shade of a mango tree. His sharp eyes sparkled with mischief as he spotted Momo swinging from a nearby vine. An idea popped into his head—a trick that would send the baby monkey into a fit of laughter.
With silent steps, Cutis trotted toward a fallen banana leaf and picked it up with his teeth. Then, with the precision of a jungle prankster, he sneaked behind Momo, who was too busy trying to reach a hanging coconut. Cutis gently brushed the banana leaf against Momo’s back.

“EEEEK!” Momo shrieked, flipping upside down on the vine. “What was that?” He looked around, but Cutis had already hidden behind a bush, holding back his giggles.
Momo scratched his head, confused. “Was it a ghost?”
Just as he was about to swing away, Cutis brushed the leaf against his tail again.
“YAAAH!” Momo jumped so high that he spun three times in the air before landing on a branch.
From behind the bush, Cutis rolled on the ground, laughing silently. But Momo was no fool. He narrowed his little monkey eyes and scanned the jungle. His nose twitched. His ears perked up. Then—AHA! He spotted a golden tail sticking out from the bush.

“Cutis!” Momo screeched, pointing at him. “I should have known!”
Cutis emerged, wagging his tail, his tongue hanging out in a guilty grin.
“You tricked me again!” Momo laughed, tumbling down from the branch and landing on Cutis’s back.
But the fun wasn’t over yet. Cutis had more tricks up his furry sleeve.
Later that day, as Momo and Cutis played near the river, Cutis noticed a pile of ripe mangoes stacked under a tree. Momo LOVED mangoes.
“Want some mangoes, Momo?” Cutis asked, wagging his tail.
Momo’s eyes lit up. “Yes, yes, yes!”
Cutis led Momo to the mango pile but stopped just short of it. “Alright, close your eyes. I’ll bring you the best one.”

Momo, trusting Cutis completely, shut his eyes tight.
What Momo didn’t know was that Cutis had placed a big, round, green coconut in front of him instead of a mango. Carefully, he placed a real mango on top of the coconut so that it looked like a huge, delicious fruit.
“Okay, Momo, open your eyes!” Cutis announced.

Momo gasped in amazement. “WOW! That’s the biggest mango I’ve ever seen!” He grabbed the “mango” and tried to take a bite—only to have the mango roll off and the hard coconut bonk him lightly on the nose.
“OUCH!” Momo rubbed his nose, then looked at the coconut in confusion. “This is NOT a mango!”
Cutis, unable to hold it in any longer, burst into laughter, rolling on the ground with his paws kicking the air.
Momo pouted at first, but soon he started giggling too. “That was a good trick, Cutis!”
But Momo wasn’t about to let Cutis have all the fun.

The next day, he decided to get back at his best friend. He waited until Cutis was dozing under the sun. Then, using his tiny hands, he picked up a few jungle flowers and placed them carefully on Cutis’s head. He even braided a few vines around his ears, making him look like a royal jungle dog.
Then Momo ran off and found the jungle parrots. “Come see the King of the Jungle!” he cried.
The parrots, always eager for excitement, swooped down and saw Cutis sleeping with flowers on his head. They burst into laughter and started chanting, “All hail King Cutis!”

Cutis woke up, startled. “What? What’s going on?”
He saw the parrots laughing, and then he noticed Momo rolling on the ground, unable to breathe from laughing so hard. When Cutis shook his head, a flower petal floated down.

“You got me this time, Momo!” Cutis barked with a big grin.
And so, the tricks and laughter never ended in the jungle. Whether it was Cutis secretly pulling off pranks or Momo finding ways to play back, their days were filled with endless fun.
But no matter how many tricks they played, their friendship was the best thing of all.
