Bibi was a kind-hearted boy who loved animals. He lived in a small village where everyone knew each other, and he spent most of his days exploring the fields, playing by the river, and helping his grandmother in the kitchen. One afternoon, as he was walking home from school, he heard a soft whimpering sound coming from behind a large tree. Curious, he tiptoed closer and found a tiny, golden-colored puppy curled up in the shade.

The puppy looked weak, its ribs slightly visible under its fluffy fur. Bibi’s heart ached. He knew that this little one must be hungry. It had no collar, and there were no other dogs nearby.
“Where did you come from, little one?” Bibi whispered, reaching out his hand carefully. The puppy lifted its head and sniffed his fingers, then gave a tiny lick.
Bibi looked around. There was no sign of an owner. He couldn’t just leave the poor puppy alone. His grandmother had always taught him to be compassionate, especially towards animals.
Determined to help, he scooped the puppy up gently in his arms. The little creature was light as a feather. Bibi hurried home, feeling a sense of responsibility growing inside him.

When he reached his house, he called out, “Grandma! Look what I found!”
His grandmother, an elderly woman with silver hair and warm eyes, stepped out of the kitchen. When she saw the puppy, she gasped. “Oh dear, that poor thing looks hungry!”
Bibi nodded. “We have to feed it, Grandma. But what can we give it?”
His grandmother thought for a moment. “We don’t have dog food, but puppies need soft and nutritious food. Why don’t we boil some eggs? They’re good for dogs and easy to digest.”
Bibi’s eyes lit up. “That’s a great idea, Grandma!”

He hurried to the kitchen and filled a pot with water. Carefully, he placed a few eggs inside and turned on the stove. As he waited for the water to boil, he glanced at the puppy, which had curled up on an old mat near the door. Its tail wagged slightly as it looked at him with trusting eyes.
After a few minutes, the eggs were done. Bibi took them out and let them cool. He peeled the shells carefully, then mashed the eggs into small pieces. The warm, yellow yolk and soft egg white looked delicious. He placed the food in a small bowl and set it in front of the puppy.
At first, the little dog sniffed the eggs cautiously. Then, as if realizing it was food, it eagerly licked a piece and started munching. Bibi giggled, watching the puppy eat with enthusiasm. It must have been very hungry!

“Eat up, little one,” Bibi said softly. “You’ll feel better soon.”
His grandmother smiled. “You did a good job, Bibi. Taking care of animals is a big responsibility.”
Bibi nodded. As the puppy finished eating, it let out a happy sigh and curled up beside him. He gently patted its soft fur.

“What should we name it?” he asked.
His grandmother chuckled. “Well, since you found it and took care of it, I think you should decide.”
Bibi thought for a moment, then grinned. “How about Lucky?”
His grandmother nodded. “That’s a wonderful name.”
From that day on, Lucky became part of the family. Bibi made sure to feed him, play with him, and give him lots of love. And every now and then, he boiled eggs—just to make sure Lucky never went hungry again.
