It was a bright and sunny morning at the peaceful farm where Lala and Bon loved to play. The birds chirped happily in the trees, the goats bleated softly in the distance, and the fields sparkled with morning dew. Lala, the clever and caring monkey, woke up early and stretched with excitement. Today was a perfect day to explore!
Bon, the playful little monkey, was already up and full of energy. He had a sparkle in his eye and a mischievous grin on his face. “Lala! Let’s go to the farm and play in the dirt!” he shouted with glee, jumping up and down.
Lala chuckled, “Alright, Bon! But don’t get too dirty—we’ll need to take a bath afterward.”
Bon, of course, had no intention of staying clean. As soon as they arrived at the farm, Bon ran straight toward the muddy area near the vegetable patch. He rolled in the dirt, flopped on his back, and tossed handfuls of soil in the air like it was confetti.
“Wheee! Look at me, Lala! I’m a dirt monster!” Bon laughed, covered from head to toe in brown mud. His fur was no longer fluffy and golden—it was now a muddy mess.
Lala watched with a mix of amusement and concern. “Oh Bon,” she sighed, shaking her head. “You’re going to need a serious bath.”
Bon didn’t care. He kept on playing—chasing chickens, rolling in the compost pile, and even sliding through a puddle of rainwater mixed with farm soil. He was having the time of his life, and the farm animals watched in disbelief at how messy he had become.
After about an hour of chaos, Bon finally flopped down in the grass, panting and tired. “Okay… I’m done,” he said with a giggle. “Now what?”
“Now,” said Lala with a confident smile, “You come with me for a bath.”
Bon’s eyes widened. “Bath? Nooooo! I hate baths!”
Lala crossed her arms. “You can’t go inside the house like this. Look at you! You’re like a walking mud pie.”

Bon looked down at himself and laughed. “Okay, fine. But you have to help me!”
“Of course,” Lala said, always ready to help.
She quickly got to work. Being smart and organized, Lala gathered everything they needed: a large plastic tub, a small bucket, some warm water from the outdoor faucet, gentle soap, a soft sponge, and Bon’s favorite ducky toy to distract him.
Bon stood next to the tub, pouting. “This is going to be cold, right?”
“Nope,” said Lala as she dipped her hand in the water. “I made it warm just for you.”
Bon slowly stepped into the tub. “Ahh… okay, that’s not bad.”
Lala gently poured water over Bon’s head using the bucket. Then, she lathered the soap on the sponge and began scrubbing his arms and legs. The water turned brown almost immediately as the dirt and farm mud melted away.
“Ow! Not so rough!” Bon squealed when Lala scrubbed his back.
Lala laughed. “I’m being gentle! But you rolled in the compost pile—you can’t expect this to be easy!”
Bon giggled and splashed water everywhere. “This isn’t so bad after all. I feel like a prince!”
Lala playfully poured water on his head again. “Prince of the farm dirt, maybe!”
The chickens clucked nearby, amused at the sight. Even the farm dog came by to watch the funny scene. Lala worked carefully, making sure Bon was clean from head to toe. She even cleaned behind his ears and under his fingernails.
“There! All done,” Lala said proudly.
Bon stood up, now squeaky clean and smiling wide. “Wow, Lala! I feel amazing!”
Lala handed him a fluffy towel and helped dry him off. “Told you a bath wouldn’t be so bad.”

“Thank you, Lala,” Bon said sincerely, hugging her tightly. “You’re the best helper ever.”
Lala smiled. “Next time, maybe don’t roll in every pile of dirt on the farm?”
Bon rubbed the back of his head. “I’ll try not to.”
As they walked back to the house, Bon felt fresh, happy, and grateful. The sun was now higher in the sky, and the smell of clean laundry filled the air as other farmhands hung clothes to dry.
Back at their little home, Lala poured Bon a glass of fresh banana milk and gave him a clean banana to munch on. He sat on the porch swing, sipping and snacking, while Lala cleaned up the bath area.
Bon watched her carefully. “Lala, how are you always so smart and prepared? You even remembered the ducky toy!”
Lala winked. “Because I know you, Bon. And I love helping you.”
Bon’s heart warmed. “One day, I want to be as smart and kind as you.”
Lala sat next to him. “You already are—you just need to think before you roll in the dirt!”

They both laughed, swinging gently in the breeze.
As the day went on, Bon stayed clean, much to everyone’s surprise. The farm animals were shocked when they saw him walking around looking fresh and neat.
Even the farmer noticed. “Bon! You look like a brand-new monkey today!”
“That’s because Lala gave me a royal bath!” Bon said proudly.
“Good job, Lala,” the farmer said with a smile.
Lala beamed, but she humbly replied, “Just doing my part.”
That night, as the sun set and painted the sky in shades of orange and pink, Bon curled up in bed, already half asleep. “Lala?” he mumbled.
“Yes?”
“Thanks again… for everything.”
Lala smiled and tucked him in. “Anytime, Bon. Sleep tight.”
And with that, Bon drifted into sweet dreams, probably dreaming of muddy adventures—and the best helper he could ever ask for.
The End.
