The sun was shining brightly that morning, casting a golden glow over the entire neighborhood. Birds chirped happily, flowers bloomed, and a cool breeze danced through the trees. But none of that compared to the excitement that was bubbling inside little Lala. Her tail wagged rapidly, her ears perked up, and her eyes sparkled with joy as she stood near the edge of the brand-new swimming pool in the backyard.
The pool was a recent addition, built just a few days ago by none other than the generous and thoughtful CEO Kien. Known for his kindness and his love for animals, Kien had designed the pool not just for himself but for all his furry and feathered companions. And of course, Lala was at the top of that list.
Lala had watched curiously during the entire construction process. From the first dig of the shovel to the final filling of the crystal-clear water, she never missed a moment. Every morning, she would trot outside to inspect the progress. Her little nose would twitch as she sniffed the air, and she’d bark excitedly whenever she saw workers bringing in new tiles or equipment.
Now, finally, the pool was finished. Its surface shimmered under the morning sun like liquid diamonds. The surrounding tiles were smooth and clean, and the poolside was decorated with little colorful flags, sun loungers, and potted plants. It was a paradise, and it was all hers to explore.
Lala barked joyfully and looked over her shoulder to see if CEO Kien was coming. She didn’t want to jump in without him. After all, this was a big moment—a special memory waiting to happen. And sure enough, just moments later, Kien walked out the back door, wearing casual clothes and holding a bright yellow towel.
“Are you ready, Lala?” he called out with a smile.

Lala let out a happy bark and bounced up and down in excitement. She ran in circles, her paws tapping on the tile like a drumroll leading up to the grand moment. Kien laughed, watching her enthusiasm.
He walked over to the pool’s edge, dipped his hand into the water, and nodded in satisfaction. “Perfect temperature. Just right for a little dog like you.”
Without waiting another second, Lala took a running start and leaped into the pool with a big splash! Water sprayed everywhere, sparkling in the sunlight. She paddled with all her might, her nose just above the water and her ears floating like tiny sails.
It was Lala’s first time swimming in a real pool. She’d played in puddles, splashed in bathtubs, and even tried dipping her paws in the river during countryside walks—but this was completely different. This water was fresh and clean, cool and deep, and all hers to enjoy.
At first, she paddled carefully, her instincts kicking in to keep her afloat. But within moments, Lala found her rhythm. She glided across the pool like a little dolphin, chasing her reflection and splashing gleefully. Kien watched proudly from the side, tossing in a floating toy shaped like a fish. Lala immediately swam toward it, gripping it in her teeth and shaking her head playfully.
“You’re a natural swimmer!” Kien called out, clapping his hands.
Lala barked in agreement, then dove under the surface, surprising even herself. She popped back up, blinking water from her eyes and wagging her tail even harder. It was pure joy.

Kien decided to join her. With a gentle splash, he stepped into the pool, and Lala swam over to him like a little lifeguard. They played together, splashing water and chasing floating toys. Kien even taught Lala how to gently climb the pool’s steps and then jump back in again. It became their special game.
As they swam, neighbors peeked over the fence to see what all the fun was about. Some laughed and waved, others called out compliments about the beautiful pool—and about Lala’s incredible swimming skills. One little girl from next door shouted, “Look, Mommy! That dog swims better than I do!”
Lala felt like a star. The center of attention. And she absolutely loved it.
After a while, they both took a break and lounged on the sun chairs. Kien dried Lala off with her soft towel and gave her a special treat: a crunchy bone-shaped biscuit. She munched it happily while basking in the warmth of the sun. Her fur, still damp from the pool, glistened in the light. Her eyes slowly closed, and for a moment, she looked completely peaceful.
But the fun wasn’t over yet.
Later that afternoon, Kien invited a few close friends and their pets over to celebrate the pool’s opening. The backyard was filled with laughter, music, and the splashing of paws and feet. There were dogs of all sizes, each taking a turn in the pool. Some were nervous, others were bold, but Lala proudly swam among them, showing off her new favorite hobby.

She even helped encourage a shy puppy named Momo to dip his paws in. Gently paddling over to him, Lala gave him a nudge with her nose and let out a friendly bark. Momo hesitated, then slowly stepped into the water. And soon, the two were swimming side by side like best friends.
The pool party lasted until sunset. When the sky turned orange and pink, and the last guests said goodbye, Lala curled up on a soft outdoor cushion, utterly content. Her body was tired, but her heart was full.
Kien sat beside her, petting her gently. “Did you have fun today, girl?” he asked.
Lala let out a soft, happy sigh and rested her head on his lap. Her eyes closed, but her tail gave one last little wag. It had been the best day ever.
From that day on, the swimming pool became a big part of Lala’s daily life. Every morning, she’d jump in for a quick swim before breakfast. On hot afternoons, she’d cool off in the water and invite her new puppy friends over for a dip. And every time she paddled across the pool, she remembered how excited she’d felt that first morning—the day her dream came true.
Lala was more than just a pet. She was family. And thanks to the thoughtful heart of CEO Kien, she now had a place of joy, exercise, and friendship to enjoy every single day.
Indeed, Lala couldn’t wait to swim again tomorrow.
