It started like any other sunny morning in the quiet countryside where Cutis the farmer lived with his adorable companion, a playful baby monkey named Momo. The bond between them was unlike anything you’ve seen—Cutis with his clever tricks and calm patience, and Momo with his unstoppable curiosity and bursts of energy. But today would be far from normal. It would be the day they both learned what it truly means to be embarrassed—in front of almost everyone!
A Morning Like No Other
Cutis had planned a simple trip to the village market. He needed to buy bananas, some vegetables, and a new hat. As usual, Momo insisted on tagging along. With his tiny red cap and a small pouch strapped to his back, Momo looked like a little adventurer ready to take on the world.
Cutis, smiling as he adjusted his straw hat, said, “Come on then, but behave this time.”
Momo squeaked with excitement, hopped on Cutis’s shoulder, and they were off, strolling down the dirt road into the heart of the village.

The First Mishap
As they reached the market, Momo couldn’t contain himself. The scent of ripe mangoes, sizzling grilled fish, and sweet sticky rice overwhelmed his tiny senses. Before Cutis could stop him, Momo leapt into a fruit stall, grabbing a banana and peeling it right there.
The vendor gasped. People turned their heads. Cutis rushed over, apologizing. “I’m so sorry! I’ll pay for that.”
But the banana? It was already gone.
Momo sat there licking his fingers with a look of pure satisfaction on his face. The vendor laughed. “At least he has good taste!”
Cutis sighed, pulling out some coins. “This little guy is gonna make me famous for the wrong reasons.”
Little did he know, that was only the beginning.
The Chicken Chase
As they moved deeper into the market, Momo’s eyes caught sight of a group of chickens. They weren’t just any chickens—they were plump, clucking, and hilariously expressive. One puffed out its chest at Momo, and of course, that was the challenge he needed.
Without warning, Momo was off—sprinting after the chickens with wild whoops and joyful screeches.
Cutis shouted, “Momo, stop!!”
Too late.
Chickens flew in all directions. Baskets overturned. A woman dropped her fish. A child cried. The entire market was in chaos.
Cutis, now red-faced, had no choice but to join the chase. “Why are we running?” he muttered, dodging a flying chicken.
Soon, both Cutis and Momo were tearing through the marketplace, being chased by angry vendors and squawking chickens. Someone even yelled, “Is this a circus?!”
By the time they stopped, both were panting under a giant banyan tree at the edge of the market. Momo looked up at Cutis with wide eyes.
“You’re in so much trouble,” Cutis muttered.

The Unwanted Surprise
Just when they thought the chaos was behind them, an even more embarrassing moment awaited. Cutis decided to take a shortcut home through the village temple, hoping the quiet path would give them time to recover.
As they approached the temple courtyard, Momo, ever the explorer, climbed onto a low platform. It happened to be the stage where the village was preparing a cultural performance. A crowd had already gathered, waiting for the dancers.
Suddenly, traditional music started playing. The announcer welcomed the audience. Cutis turned to find Momo standing right in the middle of the stage, mimicking the dance moves of a young performer who hadn’t noticed him yet.
The audience burst into laughter.
“Oh no,” Cutis whispered.
Trying to grab Momo without causing more disruption, Cutis stepped onto the stage… just as he tripped over a speaker wire and fell flat on his face.
Gasps, then even more laughter.
People clapped. Someone shouted, “Encore!” Others thought it was part of the show.
Cutis, lying face down, groaned. Momo skipped around happily, now bowing to the audience like a true performer.
The Long Walk Home
After apologizing profusely and retrieving Momo (who still wanted to keep dancing), Cutis trudged back home. His hat was crooked, shirt untucked, and his pride—well, it was left back on the stage.
Momo rode on his back, munching another banana someone gave him, completely unbothered by the events.
“You have no shame,” Cutis grumbled.
Momo gave him a friendly pat on the head and a tiny squeak, as if to say, “It’s all part of the adventure!”

Lessons in Embarrassment
Once they got home, Cutis and Momo sat quietly in the garden. Cutis brewed himself some tea and gave Momo a small bowl of fruit.
“I think we both learned something today,” Cutis began.
Momo tilted his head.
“We learned that running around like fools, stealing bananas, chasing chickens, and crashing dance stages… is not how you make a good impression.”
Momo nodded seriously, then picked up a flower and placed it behind Cutis’s ear. Cutis looked at him, then burst out laughing.
“You little rascal. Next time, you’re staying home.”
But he knew that wasn’t true. Wherever Cutis went, Momo was sure to follow. And truthfully? He wouldn’t have it any other way.
Even if it meant a little embarrassment now and then.

A Viral Ending
Two days later, something strange happened.
Cutis was at the village café when someone ran up with a phone. “You’re famous!”
“What?”
The video of Momo dancing and Cutis falling had gone viral online. People were commenting things like “Best show ever!” and “They should be on TV!”
Cutis stared in horror.
Momo, however, saw the video and clapped his hands with joy.
Embarrassed? Yes.
Regretful? Maybe a little.
But in the end, it became another unforgettable chapter in the wild and funny life of Cutis and Momo—the runaway stars of a day that started with a market trip and ended in laughter shared by the whole world.
And as Cutis would say, shaking his head with a smile, “Run fast, sure—but maybe next time, run quietly.”
