Alleged killer Karmelo Anthony is under house arrest
The father of a 17-year-old teenager who was stabbed while at a track meet has made a desperate plea to stop the school from ‘rewarding’ an alleged killer.
Austin Metcalf was stabbed in the heart when he out with his younger brother, Hunter, at the track and field championship at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco on April 2.
Karmelo Anthony, 18, is accused of pulling out a knife during a fight over seats in the stands. Metcalf is said to have died in his brother’s arms.
Speaking to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, police stated that officers were called to the scene at approximately 10am, stating: “Despite lifesaving measures by police and fire personnel, including CPR and the administration of blood, the (17)-year-old victim died.”
Frisco police arrested and charged Anthony, releasing him from jail and allowing him to be held on house arrest, according to NBC News.

In recent developments, Jeffrey Metcalf, Austin’s father, has filed a formal complaint about Centennial High School awarding Anthony his diploma amid the ongoing accusations.
Dominque Alexander, Anthony’s spokesperson, confirmed to the Daily Mail that a complaint had been put through.
“Now you have a father filing a complaint to the TEA [Texas Education Agency],” he said.
While Anthony looks set to receive his diploma, the Daily Mail reports the suspected killer is not expected to be involved in the graduation ceremony or walk on the stage at Frisco Independent School District to collect his reward as he remains under house arrest.
UNILAD has reached out to Frisco ISD for comment.
“We are in arrangements of doing an early gradation. They have agreed to allow him to graduate. They were literally trying to expel him – period,” Alexander said last week.

Last month, Metcalf admitted to showing up at a press conference which was held by the Anthony’s family, who suggested they plan to fight their son’s first-degree murder charge.
Anthony’s mother, Kala Hayes, spoke about ‘lies and false accusations that have been said about us, especially over the past week’ as she claimed they ‘put my family in danger.’
The suspected killer’s parents previously claimed he acted in self-defence when Austin allegedly attacked him.
When Metcalf turned up at the press conference, he said that he was ‘disrespected’ when he was escorted from the conference by police.
“They should have pulled me up [to the front] and said, ‘We are so sorry. Our condolences.’ The only thing I would have said was, ‘Okay, can we pray together and show the world we’re united’,” he told the New York Post.Featured Image Credit: GoFundMe

Father of son, 17, who died while being ‘attacked’ during track meet breaks silence after being thrown out of press conference
Jeff Metcalf lost his son, Austin, on April 2 after he was stabbed in the heart by another teenager
The father of a teenager who was stabbed while at a track meet has spoken out after being escorted from a press conference held by his son’s alleged killer’s family.
Austin Metcalf, 17, was stabbed in the heart when he was with his younger brother, Hunter, at the track and field championship at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco on April 2.
According to reports, Metcalf and 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony became engaged in an argument over seats in the stands before he was murdered.
Local police confirmed, speaking to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, that officers were called to the scene at approximately 10am, stating: “Despite lifesaving measures by police and fire personnel, including CPR and the administration of blood, the (17)-year-old victim died.”
Metcalf’s father, Jeff has since been vocal about his grief, and what is said to have happened that morning.

According to NBC News, Frisco police arrested and charged Anthony, releasing him from jail and allowing him to be held on house arrest.
But just on Thursday April 17, Metcalf admitted to showing up at a press conference which was held by the Anthony’s, who suggested they plan to fight their son’s first-degree murder charge, stating that lies have been told about him.

At the conference, Anthony’s mother Kala Hayes spoke about ‘lies and false accusations that have been said about us, especially over the past week’ as she claimed they ‘put my family in danger.’
Anthony’s parents previously claimed he acted in self-defence when Metcalf allegedly attacked him.
However, when Jeff turned up, he said that he was ‘disrespected’ when he was escorted from the conference by Dallas cops.
To him, things should have gone down differently as he shared that he wanted to pray with the family and put up a united front.
“They should have pulled me up [to the front] and said, ‘We are so sorry. Our condolences.’ The only thing I would have said was, ‘Okay, can we pray together and show the world we’re united’,” he told The Post.
After he showed up at the event, he and his ex-wife claimed that they became victims of ‘swatting’ pranks, resulting in police turning up to their homes.
As a result, he claimed to have resigned from his real estate job to protect his colleague’s and clients’ safety.
The father said he’d hoped for an apology from the Anthony’s, but that did not happen.
Instead, he was told to leave by many people.

Anthony’s family claim that he acted in self-defence and is being represented by Dominique Alexander (@niquealex/Instagram)
“I get a text. My phone’s blowing up. It’s the f***ing DA. He said, ‘Jeff, leave! Leave! Leave!’” Metcalf shared to the publication. “My ex-wife texts me: ‘Leave, leave, leave!’ They’ll call the cops if I don’t get the f*** out of there.”
After his visit to the conference, Minister Dominique Alexander, an activist of Next Generation Action Network called his visit ‘a disrespect to the dignity of his son’.
To this, the father said: “After I leave, that Dominique … just gaslights to s*** out of me. Says I’m disrespecting, I’m so disrespectful, I’m disrespecting the dignity of my son by showing up … and I’m just like whatever, dude. My character’s been assassinated. Or they’ve tried to assassinate my character.
“This is my point: We’re both victims. My son’s dead. Their son will be in prison. But it’s the end of the day, [Karmelo] needs to be accountable for his actions.”
Alexander, who is representing Anthony and has been appointed as the family’s spokesperson, allegedly has a lengthy criminal history that includes being convicted on child abuse charges as well as allegations of domestic violence, according to Fox 4 Dallas.Featured Image Credit: GoFundMe

It’s understood the budding sportsman was taking part in a track and field championship alongside his twin brother, Hunter Metcalf, 17.
According to Hunter, Austin and another boy, who has been identified as 17-year-old Centennial High School senior Karmelo Anthony, became embroiled in a row allegedly due to seating arrangements.
Hunter claims Karmelo was sitting in the wrong area and that he’d been informed of such by his twin.
According to ABC7, the student has since been charged with Austin’s murder, with police reporting he allegedly stabbed the football player in the chest.
“He was a good kid… He has a good heart, everyone around you knows he’s a great kid. Just one mistake from that dude and [he] just took my brother,” Hunter said in an interview with WFAA.

“He didn’t deserve it. No one deserves a loss from a family like that.”
Hunter, who claims his brother was his ‘best friend’ and a ‘peacemaker’, explained the alleged perpetrator was sitting under their team tent at the Kuykendall Stadium.
He said: “We asked him to move. He started getting aggressive and talking reckless and my brother stepped in and said ‘You need to move’.
“I tried to whip around as fast as I could but I didn’t see the stab. I looked at my brother and I’m not going to talk about the rest. I tried to help him.”
“He knew how much I loved him,” Hunter continued. “I’d do anything for him no matter what… I always looked up to him. He was a big brother in a sense.”
According to Hunter, Austin had dreams of playing college football as a linebacker.
Amid thanking the Frisco area community for comforting the grieving family, the eleventh grader and his mom, Meghan Metcalf, have admitted they have ‘no desire’ to have anything to do with their son’s alleged killer.

Meanwhile, Austin and Hunter’s father, Jeff Metcalf, has also broken his silence.
Reflecting on the tragic event, the grieving father said: “They were twins, identical twins, and his brother was holding on to him, trying to make it stop bleeding, and he died in his brother’s arms. I rushed up there and I saw him on the gurney and I could tell – they said he wasn’t breathing.
“I could see all the blood, and I saw where the wound was, and I was very concerned, so I had to find his brother, and we rushed to the hospital.
“And we prayed, and it’s God’s plan, I don’t understand it, but they weren’t able to save him. This is murder.”
A GoFundMe has since been set up in honor of Austin’s life, where Jeff described him as a ‘bright young man with a great future ahead of him’.
“He was a leader of men. His smile would light up the room. His passion for football was unbelievable,” he wrote.
“Voted team MVP this past season and carried a 4.0 GPA. He was looking forward to taking his game to the next level.”
Jeff praised his late son’s commitment and dedication to football, remarking how much the deceased has ‘impacted others’ lives’.
The dad penned: “I love you forever, son. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. God will take care of us till we meet again. RIP. Love, Dad.”

Suspect Karmelo is currently being held at Collin County Jail; no bond has been set, as per the New York Post.
ABC7 News also reports that it is currently unclear whether Karmelo has an attorney at this time.
In the wake of Austin’s death, the Frisco Police Department has said it will continue to support anyone affected during this ‘incredibly difficult time’.
“The Frisco Police Department grieves with all those affected by this devastating loss and extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family, students, and staff who are experiencing unimaginable pain,” the department said.

Police release new photos of UnitedHealthcare CEO’s alleged killer as desperate search continues
More photos have been released by cops revealing the movements of the suspect who gunned down Brian Thompson in cold blood
Footage has been released tracking the movements of Brian Thompson’s alleged killer shortly after he was gunned down in the street.
The UnitedHealthcare CEO was shot outside of the Hilton Hotel on Wednesday (December 4) at 6.46am in Manhattan, New York City, as he walked to an insurance conference hosted by the company – which was later cancelled following the murder.

The assassination of the father-of-two was caught on CCTV footage. Three shots were fired at the 50-year-old, hitting him on the back and right calf, while the bullets and casings had the words ‘deny’, ‘depose’ and ‘defend’ inscribed on them.
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), the gunman appeared to have been ‘lying in wait’ for the 50-year-old before unloading several bullets into him from behind, arguing that this attack ‘does not appear to be a random act of violence’.
He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in a critical condition but was later pronounced dead upon arrival.
The suspect then fled on foot down a nearby alleyway before returning to 6th Avenue, where the shooting took place, a little further up the street when he hopped on an electric bike and cycled into Central Park.

Police are looking for the suspect who shot Brian Thompson (United Healthcare Group)
On Friday (December 6), detectives found a grey backpack hidden among the bushes in Central Park, which is believed to have belonged to the killer – who is still at large.
The bag, which appears to match the bag being worn by the gunman in CCTV footage before the shooting, contained Monopoly money as well as a jacket, according to New York Post sources.
Former Washington DC homicide detective Ted Williams said the Monopoly money will have been intentionally planted in the bag to ‘play games with the authorities’ as part of a ‘cat and mouse game.’

The suspect looks directly at a camera while speaking to a cab driver following the murder of Brian Thompson (DCPI)
He said: “This killer knew they would more likely than not find the backpack, and he is leaving breadcrumbs to let the authorities know that he is in control, not them.”
Now, new photos have been released that depict the killer’s movements following the murder.
Police have now confirmed that the gunman did take a taxi out of the Central Park area – while one of the new photos shows the killer looking into a camera in a cab as he looks through the divider window to talk to the driver.

The killer can be seen in a newly released photo strolling down the street (DCPI)
However, cops cannot confirm whether the footage was from a cab ride immediately after the coldblooded murder of Thompson.
Another newly released photo shows him strolling down the street wearing a black puffer jacket and a face mask.
Meanwhile, more information has now come out regarding the alleged murder weapon, which is believed to be a veterinarian gun typically used to put down farm animals.
It requires a reload after every single shot – which is what can be seen in the video of the murder.Featured Image Credit: DCPI/Twitter/@NYPDnews

JonBenét Ramsey’s father allegedly receives letter ‘naming his daughter’s killer’
John Ramsey received the letter following a Netflix documentary about his daughter’s death
Warning: This article contains discussion of child abuse which some readers may find distressing.
The father of JonBenét Ramsey, the six-year-old girl who was brutally murdered at her home in 1996, has claimed he’s received a letter allegedly naming his daughter’s killer.
It was December 26, 1996 when JonBenét was found in the basement of her family’s home in Boulder, Colorado, in a case that has mystified authorities for almost three decades.
Her mom, Patsy Ramsey, had called police that morning after finding a ransom note in the home and her daughter missing from her room, and seemingly nowhere to be found in the home.

However, hours later, her father John discovered his daughter’s lifeless body in the basement, where she had been left after being beaten and sexually assaulted.
After an investigation and years of speculation and questions, Boulder District Attorney officially cleared JonBenét’s parents of being involved in the crime in 2008.
The young girl’s murderer has never been caught, but last month the case received new interest when a Netflix documentary, titled Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, arrived on the platform.
The documentary sheds light on errors made during the investigation into JonBenét’s murder, and was made with the involvement of John Ramsey.
In the wake of its release, the father has now said he’s received a letter from a woman who claims to have information on his daughter’s death.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, John said: “‘Based on all this publicity, recently I got a letter from a lady saying, ‘My ex-husband’s the killer, and I’ve kept this inside for as long as I can – please, please call me’.”

JonBenét was just six years old when she died (Netflix)
John claimed he immediately followed up on the tip, but he’s not yet heard anything further from the woman who sent the letter.
“We reached out to her, but she didn’t answer the phone, so I don’t know. We’ve shared at this point with a private investigator.”
Now 81 years old, John said that solving the case would not ‘change his life’, but it would change those of his children and grandchildren’s.
“They need to have this cloud removed, clarified, and an answer. That’s why we’re pushing so hard to get an answer,” he said.
Though John is still hopeful his daughter’s case will be solved, he noted there have been false confessions which have prompted false hope in the past.

John claims a private investigator is involved in the case (Netflix)
In the first initial days after the murder, one man claimed he’d been hired to kill JonBenet and seemed to have information that had not been in the news, as far as John was aware.
The man claimed he wanted to turn himself in, but then told John: “Well, I want to bring my family with me, and it’s going to cost me $3,000 for airline tickets, and I don’t have any money. Can you send me the money?”
Reflecting on the call, John told the Mail: “And I was going to do it, because I figured, Well, who knows, it’s worth a shot,” Ramsey said. And I mentioned it before I did; I told our attorneys what was going on. They said, ‘Oh no, wait, hold on – do not send him money. This doesn’t smell right’.
“And so I didn’t, and our investigators came back [and said], ‘Well, he’s a truck driver out of Louisiana, and he’s just trying to scam you out of some money. Forget it’.”
The search for JonBenét’s killer is still ongoing, with the 28th anniversary of her death coming up next week.
