The POTUS has spoken out about the tragic incident
Donald Trump has now spoken out on the shooting of two Israeli embassy staff that happened yesterday evening (May 21) in the US Capital.
Two Israeli embassy staff have reportedly been fatally wounded near a Jewish museum in Washington DC after a man ‘opened fire’ at them, the authorities have confirmed.
The victims, believe to be a young couple, were leaving the museum after an event at around 9.05pm local time on Wednesday, May 21, when they were gunned down ‘at close range’.
A suspect, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, Illinois, has been detained by the authorities, reports the BBC.
In a news conference after the shooting, Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith said the man was allegedly pacing outside the museum before opening fire.

Smith said the man opened fire at a group of four and injured the couple before he was stopped by security.
It is also alleged that he shouted ‘free, free Palestine’ after the attack while in custody.
Upon his arrest, she said he ‘implied that he committed the offence’ and directed cops to where he discarded the weapon.
Smith said cops had no previous history with the suspect, adding: “We don’t see anything in his background that would have placed him on our radar.”
Now, the US President Donald Trump has spoken out in public condemnation of the murders, and suggested they were driven by anti-Semitic views.
Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW!
“Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA.”

He added: “Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!”
The tragic news comes as Israeli ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter confirmed the couple killed in the attack had been planning to get engaged.
Leiter said the male victim, whose name has not been released, had purchased a ring earlier this week and had planned to pop the question while on a trip to Jerusalem.
“They were a beautiful couple,” he added.

US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has also vowed to ‘bring this depraved perpetrator to justice’ while Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon said the incident was a ‘depraved act of anti-Semitic terrorism’.
“Harming diplomats and the Jewish community is crossing a red line. We are confident that the US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal act.”
Israel’s President Isaac Herzog also released a statement and described the shooting as a ‘despicable act of hatred’ and anti-semitism.
“America and Israel will stand united in defence of our people and our shared values. Terror and hate will not break us,” he added in a post on Twitter.Featured Image Credit: ALEX WROBLEWSKI/Getty

Donald Trump speaks out after Joe Biden is diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ cancer
The POTUS has issued a short statement
Donald Trump has issued a statement after Joe Biden is diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ cancer.
On Sunday (May 18), the office of the 82-year-old and former president released a statement, confirming Biden has been diagnosed with stage nine prostate cancer which has spread to the bone.
It read: “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.
“On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

Voters have been worried about the former POTUS (Scott Olson/Getty Images)
The statement continued: “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.
“The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”
Now, his successor, President Donald Trump, has issued his own statement about Biden’s heartbreaking health update.
Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis.
“We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
The news comes as the health of the former POTUS was a prevailing concern for votes during his time as president – and during his bid for a second term.
While he ran again for a second shot in the Oval Office, with just three months left of the campaign he pulled out and handed the baton to former vice-president Kamala Harris.
His televised performance in a 90-minute debate against Trump fueled concerns, prompting the then White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to release a statement to deny that Biden was suffering from Alzheimer’s.
In his announcement to his ‘fellow Americans,’ he said it was the ‘greatest honor of of my life’ to serve as President, adding: “And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

As the 46th president of the United States, Biden was elected into the role on November 7, 2020, beating Trump at the polls.
The Democrat then finished his first and only term in office on January 20, when 78-year-old Trump reclaimed the White House having beaten Harris.
In February 2023, Biden completed a procedure to remove a ‘basal cell carcinoma,’ a common type of skin cancer from his chest.
And in November 2021, he had a polyp removed from his colon that was benign but possibly pre-cancerous.
Biden remained passionate about tackling the cancer death rate, particularly following the death of his eldest son Beau who died of glioblastoma brain tumor in 2015.
What is a Gleason score?
The Gleason score is used by medics to grade prostate cancer, according to Cancer Research.
The grade infers how much the cancer cells look like normal cells and how likely they are to grow or how aggressive they appear.
There are five grade groups with Grade Group 1 considered the least aggressive while Grade Group 5 is the most.
As Biden has a Gleason score of nine, he’s in the highest category, meaning the cells look very abnormal and is likely to grow quickly.
However, as it is hormone-sensitive, doctors say they can effectively ‘manage’ his prognosis.Featured Image Credit: Pool/Getty

Trump brutally calls out famous businessman for taking ‘fat shot drug’ as he reveals pricing plans
People have been left speculating who the ‘overweight’ and ‘very rich’ businessman is…
Donald Trump has called out a ‘neurotic’ businessman for taking a ‘fat shot drug’ while revealing his plans to slash the price of prescription drugs.
The president dug up a rather bizarre anecdote when he announced his administration’s new plan to inflict price controls on American medications on Monday (May 12), that could see prescriptions drop by 80 percent while cranking up export restrictions and yet more tariffs on foreign drugmakers.
Trump said he was inspired to make the change after hearing about the low costs of weight loss drugs in the UK from a friend.
Although the purpose of his announcement from the Roosevelt Room of the White House was to reveal his grand plan to slash drugs prices, the internet has been sent into a frenzy over his cut-throat comments that called out his unnamed buddy for being overweight.

“A friend of mine who’s a business man, very, very, very top guy… Most of you would have heard of him. Highly neurotic, brilliant businessman, seriously overweight,” Trump began. “And he takes the ‘fat shot drug’.”
“He called me up and he said, ‘President,’ he calls me, he used to call me Donald… So that’s a nice respect. But he’s a rough guy. Smart guy, very successful, very rich… [He said] ‘President could I ask you a question? I’m in London and I just paid for this damn fat drug I take.’ I said, ‘It’s not working.'”
The 78-year-old continued: “He said, ‘I just paid $88 and in New York I pay 1,300 dollars. What the hell is going on?'”
Trump said the price discrepancy prompted him to confront a pharmaceutical company rep and accused companies of ‘justifying this crap for years’.
He said he found out the US charges higher based on research and development costs, adding: “Well… other countries should pay research and development, too. It’s for their benefit … so for the first time in many years, we’ll slash the cost of prescription drugs, and we will bring fairness to America.”

To this end, he signed an executive order that demands drug manufacturers charge US citizens the same price for drugs as the lowest-paying developed countries – or face punishment.
The Department of Commerce and the Office of the US Trade Representative have also been drafted in to investigate foreign countries ‘that extort drug companies by blocking their products unless they accept the bottom line and very low dollar amounts for their product,’ Trump continued.

He said this ‘discriminatory’ practice has been ‘unfairly shifting the cost burden onto American patients‘ and, in true Trump tariff threatening style, said he would simply axe American imports of non-pharmaceutical products from abroad until those governments agree to pay higher prices, citing countries from the European Union as examples.
“The biggest thing we’re going to do is we’re going to tell those countries, like those represented by the European Union, that, you know, that game is up. Sorry.
“And if they want to get cute, then they don’t have to sell cars into the United States anymore,” he added.
His comments came just before the POTUS jetted off to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, for his four-day trip where it is anticipated he will be receive a $400 million ‘flying palace‘, a luxurious Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from Qatar’s royal family, in a first-of-a-kind lavish present ever given to the US from a foreign government.Featured Image Credit: YouTube/nypost

People point out major issue as Trump reportedly preparing to accept ‘$400,000,000 palace in the sky’ as gift
The POTUS is set to receive one of the most valuable gifts ever
People are pointing out there could be a major issue if the president is to accept a ‘palace in the sky’ as a gift.
The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to accept an insanely pricey, first-of-its-kind gift given to the US from a foreign government.
The luxurious Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet, that comes in at $400 million with the nickname of a ‘flying palace’, is apparently due to be handed over to the POTUS from the royal family of Qatar.
According to ABC News, Donald Trump will be able to use the plane as its new Air Force One jet until he leaves office, where it is tipped to transfer ownership into the Trump Presidential Library Foundation.

The 13-year-old aircraft will apparently be modified to meet US military criteria to transport the president and transferred to the presidential library before January 1, 2029.
Any costs associated with the transfer will also allegedly be covered by the US Air Force.
It is anticipated the grand gift will be unveiled next week when the president visits Qatar, according to sources who have been briefed in on the plans.
Trump has toured the plane before when it was parked at the West Palm Beach International Airport, Florida, in February.
However, the present is bound to raise questions over the ethics of the sitting president accepting such a valuable item from a foreign power, particularly with concerns over possible bribery.
Dozens on Reddit say their employment contracts prohibit them from accepting gifts of major value, with some saying they can’t take anything worth more than $50 worth a year.

Another Redditor said they work ‘federal adjacent’ and have a limit of $25 a year – meaning one time they had to refuse a $28 t-shirt from a supplier.
Others slammed the lavish gift as ‘bribery on the highest scale’.
“Nothing says American exceptionalism like not being able to build our own AF-1. Nothing says MAGA failure like actually accepting this as a gift,” they added.
Anticipating such backlash, sources told the news outlet that lawyers for the White House counsel’s office and the Department of Justice have already been drafted in.
Under the advice, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is reportedly to conclude that it is legal to accept the mega-jet as a gift and later hand it over to the Trump library.
It will also state that doing so does not violate any bribery laws or the Constitution’s prohibition of any US government official accepting gifts ‘from any King, Prince or foreign state’.
Sources added Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump’s own top White House lawyer David Warrington concluded it would be legally permission to receive it and transfer it to Trump’s presidential library before the end of his term.
Both the White House and the DOJ determine that, since the gift is not conditioned on any official act, it bypasses such clauses about bribery – and cannot breach the rule about foreign gifts because the plane is being given to the US Air Fore rather than any specific individual.

Trump issues illegal migrants ‘exit bonus’ offer and ‘free flight out of our country’ in new tactic for them to ‘self-deport’
The POTUS signed an executive order that would give illegal immigrants an ‘exit bonus’ to leave the US
Donald Trump is planning to offer illegal immigrants an ‘exit bonus’ with a ‘free flight’ out of the country if they ‘self-deport’.
It’s no secret that the Trump administration is on a mission to cut immigration in the US at whatever cost.
Whether its utilizing an old 18th-century wartime law to fuel mass deportations, inflicting high tariffs on neighboring countries to encourage their cooperation in stopping migration, attempting to revoke humanitarian parole to some 500,000 people or sending migrants accused of crime into El Salvador’s mega-jail, it seems the POTUS is exploring all avenues.
Now that Trump has faced some legal backlash from the Supreme Court over some of these controversial methods, the president signed an executive order on Friday (May 9) to launch a new self-deport scheme.
The program, called ‘Project Homecoming’, will offer free government-funded flights plus a financial incentive for illegal immigrants who volunteer to leave the country.

The order stipulates ‘illegal aliens’ have a choice: to willingly leave ‘with federal support and financial assistance’ or ‘face strict enforcement and penalties’.
Those who choose to self-deport can do so via a new CBP Home app which the order states provides ‘government-funded flights at no cost’ to migrants without legal status in the US, including those who lack valid travel documents.
The app even offers a ‘concierge service’ at airports in the US to help them book travel and claim their ‘exit bonus’.

They don’t even need to return to their home country either, as the president said they can go ‘anywhere’ in the world, ‘as long as it’s not here’.
Announcing the move, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: “Today, I signed an Executive Order to launch the first-ever self-deportation program. Illegal aliens who stay in America face punishments, including – sudden deportation, in a place and manner solely of our discretion. TO ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS: BOOK YOUR FREE FLIGHT RIGHT NOW!”
In a video, the president explained: “We are making it as easy as possible for illegal aliens to leave America.
“Any illegal alien can simply show up at an airport and receive a free flight out of our country.”

He continued: “We have also launched a phone app called CBP Home, that’s CBP Home, where illegals can book a free flight to any foreign country. As long as it’s not here, you can go anywhere you want.”
Talking about the financial boost, Trump said the ‘exit bonus’ is to ‘further incentivize their self-deportation’.
“This deportation bonus will save American taxpayers billions and billions of dollars,” he continued.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) indicated earlier this week that the ‘exit bonus’ would come to around $1,000 per person, which they will receive once their arrival to their chosen country has been confirmed in the app.
“Eventually, when the illegals are gone, it will save us trillions of dollars,” Trump added.
As for migrants who pass up on the opportunity, Trump issued a stark warning that they will be met with aggressive punishment.
He warned: “However, if illegal aliens choose to remain in America, they’re remaining illegally and they will face severe consequences.
“Illegal aliens who stay in America face punishments, including significant jail time, enormous financial penalties, confiscation of all property, garnishment of all wages, imprisonment and incarceration and sudden deportation in place and manner solely of our discretion.”
“So, to all illegal aliens, book your free flight right now. We want you out of America, but if you’re really good, we’re gonna try and help you get back in,” Trump concluded.Featured Image Credit: Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images
