Trump has savage 5-word response to reporter after learning where he worked

The president provided a very ‘Trump’ response to a reporter on Capitol Hill

Donald Trump had a savage five-word response to a reporter after the president discovered the media outlet he works for.

There’s no doubt the Republican president is certainly unconventional compared to many of his predecessors, and just taking a look at some of his media appearances makes that pretty apparent.

The cameras are often present in the Oval Office as Trump announces new policy changes to the world, but that isn’t the only place the media follow the president around.

The Republican president spoke to the media on Capitol Hill after his ‘beautiful bill’ meeting with his party on Tuesday (20 May).

A journalist from NOTUS asked: “Andy Harris said that you didn’t adequately convince enough people to vote for the bill?”

Trump then replied asking the reporter what publication he worked for, to which he replied NOTUS.

“Who? I don’t even know what the hell that is. Get yourself a real job,” the president replied. Ouch.

NOTUS describes itself as ‘a new Washington publication from the nonprofit, nonpartisan Allbritton Journalism Institute’, with the publication focusing its coverage on US politics.

“It is produced by a newsroom of experienced journalists and emerging reporters, and is funded by donors and grants,” a description of the publication reads.

The yet another infamous Trump media interaction has gone viral on Twitter, as one person commented: “Another banger, I fear.”

A second added: “Trump’s dismissal of the NOTUS reporter shows his contempt for smaller media outlets.” While a third remarked: “Classic Trump.”

It comes just weeks after Trump shut down a journalist with a brutal seven-word response after a microphone hit him in the face.

The extended could be seen touching Trump’s mouth and sliding across his face during a live broadcast, and he even attempted to lean back to stop it from touching him further.

The miscalculated effort to capture Trump’s voice saw the president get the brunt of the equipment, causing him to glare at the interviewee.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Trump was quick to make a comment after the fuzzy mic touched his face.

He was heard stating: “She just became a big story tonight… She just made television tonight.

Trump had scathing response to Walmart after retail giant warned of higher prices due to tariffs

Walmart CEO Douglas McMillon has hinted price hikes may be coming to the retailer

Donald Trump has issued a scathing response to Walmart after the retailer warned prices are set to increase in store as a result of the president’s tariffs.

Walmart gets merchandise from the likes of Canada, China, India, Mexico and Vietnam, all of which face at least ten percent in tariffs.

The 47th POTUS has even increased tariffs on most Chinese goods to a staggering 145 percent, but that has since dropped to 30 percent for a 90-day period as Trump announced a temporary truce with China.

But if a subsequent trade agreement isn’t reached with China, Trump has warned ‘substantially higher’ tariffs could come in on a later date.

Walmart CEO Douglas McMillon hinted earlier this week that products across the retailer could see price hikes in the future amid Trump’s tariffs.

“We will do our best to keep our prices as low as possible. But given the magnitude of the tariffs, even at the reduced levels announced this week, we aren’t able to absorb all the pressure given the reality of narrow retail margins,” the chief executive said in an earnings call on Thursday (May 15).

The president responded to these comments on Saturday by saying Walmart should stop ‘trying to blame tariffs’ for the price hikes.

Trump wrote on Truth Social: “Walmart should STOP trying to blame Tariffs as the reason for raising prices throughout the chain. Walmart made BILLIONS OF DOLLARS last year, far more than expected. Between Walmart and China they should, as is said, ‘EAT THE TARIFFS,’ and not charge valued customers ANYTHING.

“I’ll be watching, and so will your customers!!!”

Billionaire Mark Cuban has previously urged members of the public to ‘go to Walmart’ before Trump’s new tariffs take full effect.

In a post on the social media platform Bluesky, Cuban encouraged members of the public to go to ‘the local Walmart or big box retailer’ as soon as possible.

The billionaire said: “It’s not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.”

Cuban went on to claim that companies could potentially use the tariffs as an excuse to increase prices, saying: “Even if it’s made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.”Featured Image Credit: Getty Images/Andrew Harnik

Donald Trump scolds reporter with brutal seven-word response after microphone hits him in the face

US President Donald Trump was talking to reporters when a boom mic wacked him in the face

President Donald Trump’s reaction to being hit in the face with a boom mic by a reporter came with a scathing comment.

The incident comes after he posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, to share that he had a ‘good’ talk with Russian President, Vladimir Putin, which could see a deal between the nation and Ukraine after its three-year invasion.

The 45th and 47th President of the United States was at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Friday (March 14) answering questions from the press when he was suddenly hit in the face with a big, fuzzy boom mic.

The extended mic can be seen touching his mouth and sliding across his face during the live broadcast, and he even attempted to lean back to stop it from touching him further.

Extended microphones are usually taken on these types of interviews, where multiple journalists are attempting to pick up sound from one person.

It stops them from having to crowd the interviewee.

But the miscalculated effort to capture his voice saw Trump get the brunt of the equipment, causing him to glare at the woman.

The 78-year-old immediately made a comment after the fuzzy mic touched his face, uttering a seven-word clap back to the mishap.

He was heard stating: “She just became a big story tonight.”

He also said: “She just made television tonight.”

While he initially appeared to be upset over the slight, he also went on to look amused as he initially shot her daggers, before raising his eyebrows and then laughing.

He then asked someone off camera: “Did you see that?”

However, social media fans online have not been too happy with the incident, and some conspiracy theorists believed it could have been an attempt on his life.

One person wrote: “A reporter just HIT President Trump with a microphone. But 47 handled it like a PRO.”

Another said: “How on earth did a reporter get that boom mic so close to Trump’s face? This just doesn’t seem right. Security should tighten up. Embarrassing for the press.”

Someone else commented: “President Trump was just smacked in the face by a reporter’s boom mic. Unreal these people. Have some respect.”

“Where’s the secret service,” some of Trump’s supporters asked.

Others believe that the microphone was contaminated with ‘poison’ or ‘infected with the next pandemic’.

They think it could be contaminated with drugs or diseases like ‘fentanyl, anthrax, herpes’.

Another claimed that ‘this should be treated as an assassination attempt’.

A user wrote: “I am going to say yes. And if Trump mysteriously gets sick or has some medical situation then the boom mic was laced with something that microphone should have been confiscated on the spot.”

Looks like the rogue boom has stirred up some seriously wild conspiracy theories.Featured Image Credit: SkyNews via YouTube

Trump has bizarre 4-word response to reporter who asked why he pardoned someone who assaulted a police officer

Trump has bizarre 4-word response to reporter who asked why he pardoned someone who assaulted a police officer

US President Donald Trump pardoned around 1,500 criminals charged in the January 6 Capitol attack within 24 hours of being sworn in

US President Donald Trump agreed it’s ‘never acceptable to assault a police officer’ before justifying the release of a January 6 convict who assaulted an officer with a taser.

On Monday (January 20), Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

Within 24 hours, he issued a pardon for around 1,500 criminals convicted for their involvement in the Capitol Riots which saw violent attacks on police protecting the Capitol building in Washington – with the events of January 6 seeing over 140 police officers injured and at least seven people dead.

Daniel Joseph ‘DJ’ Rodriguez attacked officer Michael Fanone with a stun gun to his neck, with Rodriguez pleading guilty to felony conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, tampering with documents or proceedings and inflicting bodily injury on officers using a deadly or dangerous weapon, according to NBC News.

He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

During a press briefing at the White House, a reporter asked Trump: “You would agree it’s never acceptable to assault a police officer?”

In a clip of the press conference shared online by Forbes, the president responds: “Sure.”

The journalist continues: “So then if I can, among those you pardon, DJ Rodriguez he drove a stun gun into the neck of a DC police officer who was abducted by the mob that day.

“He later confessed on video to the FBI and pleaded guilty for his crimes – why does he deserve a pardon?”

Trump’s first response saw him state: “Well, I don’t know.”

He then continued: “Is it a pardon? Because we’re looking at commutes and we’re looking at pardons. Okay well, we’ll take a look at everything but I can say this, murderers today are not even charged, you have murderers that aren’t charged all over.”

Oh, and Trump was only just getting started.

Mentioning Philadelphia and Los Angeles, Trump reflected that ‘people murder people and they don’t get charged’ arguing the people he’s pardoning ‘have already served yers in prison and uh, they’ve served them viciously, it’s a disgusting prison, it’s been horrible, it’s inhumane, it’s been a terrible thing’.Play

He continued: “I also say this, you go to Portland where they wrapped police officers, shot police officers, nothing happened to anybody. You go to Seattle where they took over a big chunk of the city and people died, Portland a lot of people died […] and you also go take a look at Minneapolis because I was there and I watched it and if I didn’t bring in the National Guard that city wouldn’t even exist today, people were killed and nobody went to jail.”

Trump resolved those he’s pardoning have ‘already served a long period of time’ and it was his ‘decision’ to set them free, instead directing reporters to look at former US President Joe Biden instead.

He said: “Joe Biden gave a pardon yesterday to a lot of criminals – these are criminals he gave a pardon to and you should be asking that question: Why did he give a pardon to all of these people that committed crimes? Why did he give a pardon to the J6 unselect committee when they burned and destroyed all documents that showed that they did what was wrong, not me? Why did they give a pardon to all of his relatives – his brother who made millions of dollars.

“To all these different people he gave pardons that’s the question you should be answering.”

And Trump isn’t only pardoning the individual named by the reporter but around 1,500 criminal defendants charged in the January 6 Capitol attack.

Within the first 24 hours of being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, Trump wasted no time signing off on multiple executive orders including one under a section titled ‘Ending the Weaponization of the federal government’.

The White House’s page states under prior administration, the Department of Justice ‘ruthlessly prosecuted more than 1,500 individuals associated with January 6’.

Trump accused the past administration of ‘inflicting political pain’ rather than ‘pursuing actual justice or legitimate government objectives’ against Americans who ‘spoke out against previous administration’s actions and other Americans who were simply exercising constitutionally protected rights’.

The order links to a presidential action pardoning multiple individuals ‘convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, to time served as of January 20, 2025’ alongside granting ‘a full, complete or unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses related to events’ on the same day too.

The White House’s website states: “This proclamation ends a grave national injustice that has been perpetrated upon the American people over the last four years and begins a process of national reconciliation.”Featured Image Credit: YouTube/ForbesBreakingNews

Donald Trump leaves people baffled after seemingly taking credit for historical event and claiming he ‘invented’ common word

Donald Trump’s actions have raised some eyebrows of late

Donald Trump has raised eyebrows after he appeared to make two absolutely outlandish claims within 24 hours.

Trump first left people baffled after suggesting that he had something to do with Pope Leo being elected as the new head of the Catholic Church following the death of Pope Francis last month.

Responding to the news of Pope Leo being the first American pope in history, Trump said: “Congratulations to Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, who was just named Pope. It is such an honor to realize that he is the first American Pope. What excitement, and what a Great Honor for our Country.

“I look forward to meeting Pope Leo XIV. It will be a very meaningful moment!”

In a follow-up post shared to Truth Social yesterday (May 12), Trump implied that it was his own success with Catholic American voters in the presidential election that may have helped Pope Leo get his new role.

“So funny to watch old timer Martha Raditz [correctly spelt Raddatz] on ABC Fake News (the Slopadopolus show!) this morning, blurt out that, effectively, Pope Leo’s selection had nothing to do with Donald Trump,” he penned in reference to Raddatz’s recent interview with Cardinal Blasé Cupich on This Week.

“It came out of nowhere, but it was on her Trump Deranged Mind,” Trump continued. “Remember, I did WIN the Catholic Vote, by a lot!

“Bob Iger should do something about the losers and haters he’s got on his low rated shows. It’s time for change. MAGA!!!”

Then, in further questionable remarks made by the president yesterday, Trump seemed to allege that he came up with the word ‘equalize’ — a word that’s been around for hundreds of years.

As he signed a new order to regulate the prices of drugs, Trump told reporters at a White House press conference: “The rest of the world is going to have to pay a bit more, and America’s going to pay a lot less. Again, because it is a smaller population than when you think of the whole world.”

He went on: “So basically what we are doing is equalizing. It’s a new word that I came up with, which I think is probably the best word. We’re gonna equalize. We’re all gonna pay the same. We’re gonna pay what Europe’s gonna pay.”

Despite what the POTUS said, Webster’s dictionary says that the word actually dates back to 1599…

People were seriously confused, with one writing: “There was a TV show in the 80s named The Equalizer. Did he invent the word in 1983 and is just reminiscing?”

Another wrote: “If he came up with it how does everyone already know what it means lol.”

While a third joke: “Horses**t, a word I just came up with, never used by anyone ever!”Featured Image Credit: Kevin Dietsch/Getty Images
