It was a sunny Saturday morning when Bibi, the playful little monkey, woke up to a very special surprise. As the first rays of sunlight peeked through the window, Bibi stretched his tiny arms and let out a happy yawn. Today felt different — like something exciting was about to happen.
Just as Bibi was about to hop off his cozy blanket, the door creaked open and in came Uncle Phong, holding a big colorful basket. He had a wide smile on his face.
“Good morning, Bibi!” Uncle Phong said cheerfully. “Guess what? We’re going on a picnic today!”
Bibi’s eyes lit up. His little hands clapped together with joy. He jumped up and down, spinning in circles and letting out happy squeaks. A picnic! That was one of his favorite things in the whole world — food, games, fresh air, and best of all, time with Uncle Phong.
Uncle Phong chuckled as he watched Bibi’s excitement. “Get ready, little one. We’ve got a big day ahead!”
After a quick breakfast, Uncle Phong helped Bibi put on his tiny backpack, which had a banana print and little pockets filled with his favorite snacks — dried mangoes, nuts, and, of course, bananas. Uncle Phong packed the picnic basket with sandwiches, fruit juice, rice cakes, and a special surprise dessert just for Bibi.

Soon, they were on their way, riding Uncle Phong’s motorbike through the countryside. Bibi sat in a secure little seat, holding tightly onto his little water bottle and squeaking with excitement at every passing cow, butterfly, or flower field.
They reached a beautiful meadow next to a gentle river. Birds chirped in the trees, and the air smelled fresh and sweet. The grass was soft, and a big shady tree stood nearby — the perfect spot for a picnic.
Uncle Phong laid out a big blanket under the tree while Bibi raced around in circles, exploring the place. He chased butterflies, tried to climb a low tree branch, and even found a shiny pebble he thought looked like a candy.
“Bibi, come here! Lunch is ready!” Uncle Phong called.
Bibi rushed over and sat cross-legged, eyes wide with curiosity. Uncle Phong opened the picnic basket like it was a treasure chest. There were veggie sandwiches, sweet corn, boiled eggs, watermelon slices, and crunchy rice crackers. Bibi grabbed a rice cracker and munched happily, making funny noises that made Uncle Phong laugh.
Then came the special surprise — coconut pudding in little cups, topped with bits of jelly. Bibi’s eyes sparkled when he saw it. He scooped up a big spoonful and giggled at the wobbly jelly. “Yum!” he chirped.

After they ate, Uncle Phong brought out a ball and a small kite. “Ready to play?” he asked.
Bibi bounced up and down. “Yes!”
First, they kicked the ball back and forth, laughing when Bibi accidentally kicked it into the bushes. Then, Uncle Phong helped Bibi hold the kite string. With a gentle tug, the kite soared into the sky. Bibi squealed in delight and tried to follow the kite as it danced with the wind.
They played until the sun started to lower in the sky. The golden light made everything glow. Bibi sat down on the blanket, tired but very happy. Uncle Phong poured some juice for both of them, and they sat side by side, sipping quietly and enjoying the peaceful view.
Birds flew home to their nests, and crickets began to chirp. Bibi leaned against Uncle Phong and let out a soft sigh of contentment. He looked up at the sky and smiled.
“This is the best day,” he whispered.
Uncle Phong smiled and gently stroked Bibi’s fur. “I’m glad you had fun, Bibi. I had fun too.”
They watched the sunset together, colors of orange and pink painting the sky. Bibi blinked slowly, feeling sleepy but very loved.
On the ride home, Bibi leaned against Uncle Phong’s chest, dozing off to the gentle hum of the motorbike. When they reached home, Uncle Phong tucked him into his little bed, placing the shiny pebble Bibi had found on the table beside him.
As Bibi drifted off to sleep, he dreamed of butterflies, flying kites, delicious pudding, and the sound of Uncle Phong’s laughter.
It had truly been a perfect day.
