Bibi helps Grandma plant and take care of the yellow apricot tree!

Bibi loved spending time with Grandma in her beautiful garden. It was a magical place filled with colorful flowers, lush green plants, and fruit trees. But among all the plants, Grandma’s favorite was the yellow apricot tree. Every year, its bright golden blossoms would bloom just in time for the Lunar New Year, bringing joy and good fortune to the family. This year, Grandma decided it was time to plant a new yellow apricot tree, and Bibi was more than excited to help.

One bright morning, Bibi ran to Grandma’s house, eager to start the project. Grandma greeted her with a warm smile and handed her a small gardening apron and gloves.

“Are you ready to plant our new yellow apricot tree?” Grandma asked.

“Yes, Grandma! I can’t wait to see it grow big and strong!” Bibi replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Grandma led Bibi to a special spot in the garden, where a young apricot sapling was waiting to be planted. The little tree had delicate green leaves and a sturdy stem, and Bibi could already imagine it covered in golden flowers.

“First, we need to dig a hole,” Grandma explained. She handed Bibi a small shovel and showed her how to dig carefully. Bibi eagerly got to work, scooping out the soil little by little. She wiped her forehead as she worked, feeling proud of her efforts.

Once the hole was ready, Grandma gently placed the sapling inside. “Now, we have to cover the roots with soil and pat it down so the tree stays steady,” she said.

Bibi helped Grandma scoop the soil back into the hole, pressing it gently around the tree’s base. When they were done, Grandma brought over a watering can.

“Water is very important for the tree to grow,” she said. “Let’s give it a good drink.”

Bibi carefully poured the water around the sapling’s roots, watching as the soil soaked it up. The little tree seemed happy and ready to grow tall.

Over the next few weeks, Bibi visited Grandma’s house every day to take care of the tree. She helped water it, pull out any weeds nearby, and even talked to it.

“Grow big and strong, little tree! I can’t wait to see your beautiful yellow flowers,” Bibi would say cheerfully.

Grandma smiled whenever she saw Bibi’s enthusiasm. “Trees grow best when they are loved and cared for,” she said. “And you are doing a wonderful job, my dear.”

One day, Bibi noticed that some leaves on the tree had turned yellow. Worried, she ran to tell Grandma.

“Grandma! Something is wrong with our tree! Its leaves are changing color!”

Grandma examined the tree carefully. “Ah, don’t worry, Bibi. This can happen when the tree is adjusting to its new home. We’ll give it some extra care and make sure it’s healthy.”

Together, they checked the soil and made sure the tree was getting the right amount of water. Grandma also showed Bibi how to gently prune any weak branches so the tree could grow stronger.

As the months passed, the yellow apricot tree grew taller and stronger. Bibi loved watching its leaves sway in the wind and its branches stretch toward the sky. Then, one morning, just as the Lunar New Year was approaching, something magical happened.

“Bibi! Come and see!” Grandma called excitedly.

Bibi ran to the garden and gasped in delight. The yellow apricot tree was covered in tiny flower buds! A few of them had already bloomed into bright, golden flowers.

“It’s blooming, Grandma! Our tree is blooming!” Bibi danced around with joy.

“Yes, it is, my dear,” Grandma said, hugging Bibi. “Thanks to your love and care, our yellow apricot tree is growing beautifully.”

As more flowers bloomed, Grandma picked a few and placed them in a special vase inside the house. “Yellow apricot blossoms bring luck and happiness,” she said. “And this year, our tree has given us a wonderful gift.”

Bibi beamed with pride, knowing she had helped the little tree grow. From that day on, she made a promise to always take care of the garden and cherish the beautiful yellow apricot tree that she and Grandma had planted together.
