Lala can’t resist the delicious taste of jackfruit!

It was a bright, sunny morning on the little farm where Lala, a playful young monkey, lived with her best friend, Farmer Cutis. The air was filled with the sweet scent of ripening fruits, and birds chirped cheerfully from the treetops. But something special was in the air that day—something incredibly sweet and impossible to ignore.

From the moment Lala woke up, she could smell it. She sniffed the air, her little nose twitching with excitement. “Mmm… what is that?” she wondered aloud, leaping down from her tree branch. Her tail curled with curiosity as she followed the irresistible aroma through the garden.

Farmer Cutis was already outside, wearing his straw hat and carrying a big basket filled with golden yellow jackfruit. He had just finished harvesting the ripest ones from the trees near the back of the farm. The thick, spiky fruits were heavy, but he knew they were worth the effort—especially when Lala was around.

As soon as Lala spotted the jackfruit, her eyes lit up. “Jackfruit! My favorite!” she squealed, hopping from one foot to the other.

“Good morning, Lala,” Cutis chuckled. “I thought you might come running. These are extra sweet today!”

Lala couldn’t wait. She scampered over, climbed onto a wooden crate, and peeked into the basket. The golden fruit inside was already cut open, revealing juicy yellow pods glistening in the morning sun. Lala reached out carefully, took one in her tiny hands, and took a big bite.

“Mmm!” she hummed, her eyes closing in delight. “So soft! So sweet! So… amazing!”

Cutis laughed again and sat beside her. “Jackfruit is the king of fruits around here. I think you love it even more than bananas.”

Lala nodded quickly, her cheeks full of fruit. “Bananas are good, but jackfruit is… jack-tastic!

Soon, the other animals on the farm began to gather. A curious duck waddled over, sniffing the air. A goat poked his head through the fence. Even the chickens paused their pecking to watch Lala enjoy her feast.

Not wanting to be selfish, Lala offered a piece to her duck friend, who took a nibble and quacked in surprise. “Told you it’s amazing!” Lala said proudly.

As the morning went on, Lala couldn’t stop munching. Cutis gently reminded her not to eat too much at once, but she just giggled and took another bite. “Just one more… okay, maybe two.”

By the time the sun reached high noon, Lala was lying in the shade, her belly full and round. She rubbed it happily and sighed, “That was the best breakfast ever.”

Cutis smiled and patted her head. “You’ve got the spirit of a jackfruit lover, Lala.”

And from that day on, whenever the jackfruit trees began to bloom, Lala was the first to know—and the happiest little monkey on the farm.
