DAD (on camera): “Hey everyone! Welcome back to our channel! It’s Vlogmas Day 14, and today is super special. It’s just me and my girl, because… MOM’S OUT FOR THE DAY!”
Cuts to Dad dramatically spinning around and pointing to his daughter.
DAD: “It’s Daddy Daughter Day!”
LILY (6 years old): “YAYYYY! Can we make pancakes, go to the park, and do hair salon time?”
DAD (confidently): “You got it, kiddo. How hard can it be?”
Cue dramatic music.
[SCENE 2 – PANCAKE TIME]
Camera pans to flour flying everywhere. Lily has pancake batter in her hair. Dad’s flipping a pancake with a spatula that’s slightly melted.
DAD (laughing): “Okay, so the spatula is now… modern art. But! The pancakes are edible. I think.”
LILY: “Mine looks like a dinosaur!”
DAD: “Perfect! Dino pancakes are the future.”
They high five. Syrup spills. Dog licks syrup off the floor.

[SCENE 3 – THE PARK]
Jump cut to the park. Lily’s in a swing; Dad’s pushing her with way too much enthusiasm.
LILY: “Higher, Daddy!”
DAD: “Roger that!”
Lily goes soaring. Dad runs under to catch the swing dramatically. She giggles uncontrollably.
DAD: “Parenting level unlocked: Park Pro.”
Snowflakes start to fall gently. The camera catches it.
DAD (turns camera to himself): “Alright, back home for the real challenge—doing Lily’s HAIR.”
[SCENE 4 – HAIR TIME (AKA THE FAIL)]
Camera set up in the bathroom. Hairbrush, hair ties, sparkly clips, and detangling spray are all laid out like surgery tools.
DAD (serious voice): “Okay, I’ve seen your mom do this a thousand times. We’re going for the classic double braid with unicorn clips. I’ve got this.”
LILY: “You sure, Daddy?”
DAD: “Sweetheart, I once fixed a leaking sink with duct tape and a spoon. I am more than qualified.”
He sprays detangler. A little too much. Lily flinches.
LILY: “Cold!”
DAD: “Oops. Okay, let’s brush this out.”
Five minutes later: a brush stuck in Lily’s hair.
DAD (panicked): “Don’t panic. We’ve got options. Scissors, maybe?”
LILY: “DADDY NO!”
Cut to Dad watching a YouTube hair tutorial on fast speed, pausing every two seconds.
DAD: “Why are they braiding so fast? Is this in another language?”
He attempts a braid. It ends up as a tangled spiral of confusion.
LILY (looking in mirror): “Daddy… is this supposed to be a nest?”
DAD: “Uh… yes! A… festive bird nest braid. For Christmas!”
LILY: “With a unicorn clip?”
DAD: “You bet.”
He proudly adds a glittery unicorn clip to the mess.

[SCENE 5 – FACETIME WITH MOM]
Mom answers a FaceTime call.
MOM: “Hi loves! How’s the day going?”
DAD (off-screen): “Perfect! Just look at Lily’s new hair masterpiece.”
Camera pans to Lily. She looks… proud but slightly concerned.
MOM (trying not to laugh): “Wow, that’s… very creative. Did the bird fly away yet?”
LILY: “It’s a Christmas nest!”
MOM: “Of course it is.”
DAD (grinning): “Don’t worry, I’ve got the whole thing under control.”
Mom zooms in on syrup on Dad’s shirt.
MOM: “Looks like it.”
[SCENE 6 – CLEAN UP + COZY TIME]
Back in the living room. Lily’s in fuzzy pajamas. Dad is attempting to untangle the hair “style.”
LILY: “Can we just do a ponytail?”
DAD: “Yes. Yes we can.”
Camera time lapse of Dad slowly brushing it out, gently, carefully this time.
DAD (whispering to the camera): “Never underestimate a six-year-old’s hair.”
They cuddle on the couch with a Christmas movie playing. Lily’s hair is now in a simple, neat ponytail.
DAD: “What was your favorite part of today?”
LILY: “Everything! Even the hair nest.”
DAD: “You’re the best partner ever, kiddo.”
They fist bump.
[ENDING – VLOGMAS OUTRO]
