It was a warm and sunny morning at Bon’s Beauty Spa, and Mom was busy preparing her tools for the day. Scissors, combs, brushes, bottles of fragrant shampoo—everything was neatly arranged on the counter. The spa had already been filled with the gentle scent of lavender and rose oils.
Lala, the little monkey, sat by the window watching Mom bustle about. She tilted her head, touching her hair with her small hands. Her fur had grown a little longer than usual, sticking out in funny tufts that made her look like she had just woken up from a long nap.
“Mom!” Lala suddenly called out in her squeaky voice. “My hair is too long! Cut it! Cut it now!”
Mom turned around, chuckling. “Oh really? I thought you liked your fluffy hair. You look like a little cloud.”
But Lala pouted, pulling at a strand. “Nooo, it’s messy! I can’t see well when I play. And look—” she shook her head dramatically, “—it gets in my eyes!”
Mom giggled at her little drama queen. “Well, a haircut isn’t so simple, you know. It takes time. And I have other customers today.”
Lala’s eyes widened in horror. “You mean… you’ll let other people be beautiful before me?!” She stomped her tiny feet and crossed her arms.
Seeing her serious little face, Mom decided to play along. “Hmm… maybe. Unless you can convince me that you need it more than everyone else.”
Lala gasped and immediately began her performance. She dropped to the floor, pretending to faint. “Oh no! My hair is too heavy, I can’t walk! My head will fall off!” She then lay still, peeking at Mom to see if it worked.
Mom burst out laughing. “Alright, alright! You’ve convinced me. But if we’re doing your hair, we’re doing it properly—a full beauty spa treatment.”
Lala’s eyes sparkled. “Yaaay! Beauty spa!”
Mom led her to a small chair in the corner of the spa that was just Lala’s size. It had been made specially for her, with soft cushions and a tiny mirror in front. Lala climbed in, sitting tall like a queen awaiting her royal treatment.
First, Mom wrapped a towel around her shoulders and sprayed a gentle mist of water over her hair. Lala shivered. “Ah! That’s cold!” she squeaked, but she couldn’t stop smiling at her reflection.

Next came the shampoo. Mom massaged it into Lala’s hair, creating a mountain of white bubbles. Lala loved this part—she closed her eyes and hummed happily. “Mmmm… more! More bubbles, please!”
“Patience,” Mom teased. “We have to wash carefully.”
When the shampoo was rinsed out, Mom began the haircut. Snip, snip! The scissors made their gentle sound as little strands of hair fell to the floor. Lala watched in fascination.
“Not too short, okay?” she warned. “I still want to look cute.”
Mom grinned. “Don’t worry. You’ll be the cutest monkey in the world.”
Lala tilted her head to the left, then the right, checking every move in the mirror. At one point, she even held up her hand like a director. “Hmm, I think you should cut a little more here, Mom. Yes, right there. Perfect!”
Mom laughed at her bossy little customer. “Are you sure you’re not the one running this spa?”
Once the haircut was finished, it was time for the beauty spa treatment. Mom brought out a tray with warm towels, scented oil, and a tiny hairbrush just for Lala.
First, she wrapped a warm towel around Lala’s head. “This will make your hair soft,” Mom explained. Lala wiggled her toes and relaxed, feeling like a true princess.
Then came the oil massage. Mom rubbed a little coconut oil into Lala’s scalp. “Ahhh,” Lala sighed. “I could stay like this forever.”
Finally, Mom brushed her hair gently until it shone. But Lala wasn’t done yet—she wanted more. “What about my nails, Mom? And my face? I need the full package!”
Mom shook her head, pretending to be exhausted. “You’re going to tire me out, little one!”
But of course, she couldn’t say no. She took Lala’s tiny hands and filed her nails carefully, then gave her a little face massage. Lala giggled the whole time, squirming in the chair.
When the spa session was over, Mom turned the chair toward the big mirror. “Alright, Lala. Are you ready to see the new you?”

Lala covered her eyes dramatically. “Okay… one… two… three!” She opened them and gasped.
Her hair was neatly trimmed, soft, and shiny. The tufts were gone, replaced by a smooth style that framed her round little face perfectly. “Wow! I’m so beautiful!” she exclaimed, turning her head from side to side.
Mom smiled warmly. “Yes, you are. But you were beautiful even before the haircut.”
Lala grinned and hopped off the chair. “Thank you, Mom! You’re the best beauty spa in the whole world!”
But then she paused, tilting her head. “Mom… do you think we could do this again tomorrow?”
Mom laughed so hard she almost dropped the towel. “Tomorrow? Lala, if we did this every day, I’d never have time for other customers!”
Lala pretended to think. “Hmm… maybe they can wait. After all, I’m the VIP here.”
And with that, she strutted around the spa, showing off her new look to every mirror she could find. She even went outside to wave at the neighbors, making sure everyone noticed her stylish hair.
By the end of the day, Lala had told everyone the same story: “It was a beauty emergency, but Mom saved me!”
The customers at the spa couldn’t stop laughing at her dramatic tale. And Mom? She just shook her head and smiled—because even though Lala could be a little demanding, her joy made every moment worth it.
That night, as Lala snuggled into bed, she whispered, “Mom, you know what?”
“What, sweetheart?”
“I think tomorrow I need a paw massage too. Just to keep everything perfect.”
Mom chuckled softly. “We’ll see, little princess. We’ll see.”
