Next Time, Teach the Monkey Something New 🤣

The sun had just peeked over the horizon, spilling golden light across the little farm where CUTIS, the clever human, lived with his hilarious best friend—a baby monkey named Miko. The two were inseparable, always together, always laughing, and always finding new ways to turn the quiet countryside into a stage for chaos.

On this particular morning, CUTIS had a plan. He woke up early, stretched his arms, and grinned. “Today,” he said to himself, “I’ll teach Miko something new.”

Miko, of course, had no idea what kind of adventure awaited him. He was still asleep, curled up in his tiny hammock made from an old shirt, hugging his banana plushie. When CUTIS gently shook him awake, the little monkey yawned, rubbed his sleepy eyes, and immediately reached for a real banana.

“Good morning, sleepyhead,” CUTIS said, smiling.

“Good morning,” Miko mumbled through a mouthful of banana. “What we do today?”

CUTIS winked. “We’re going to learn something new!”

Miko’s eyes lit up with excitement and suspicion at the same time. The last time CUTIS had said that, Miko ended up in a bubble bath that turned into a foam explosion. “Uh oh,” he muttered, clutching his banana tighter. “No more soap lessons!”

CUTIS laughed. “Don’t worry! No soap this time. Today, you’ll learn to help me cook.”

“Cook?” Miko tilted his head. “Like… with fire?”

“Well,” CUTIS said carefully, “not with fire yet. We’ll start small—with something safe. We’re making fruit salad!”

🍌 Lesson One: The Banana Disaster

CUTIS set up a big wooden table outside under the mango tree. The air smelled fresh, and the ducks waddled around curiously, ready to watch the show.

He placed a pile of fruits in front of Miko—bananas, apples, and a watermelon almost bigger than him. “Okay,” CUTIS said, “first, we peel the bananas.”

Miko grinned. “Easy!” He grabbed a banana and peeled it perfectly. CUTIS clapped. “Nice job, buddy!”

Miko puffed out his chest proudly. “See? I can cook!”

But pride comes before the fall. When CUTIS turned around to slice apples, Miko decided to peel all the bananas… including the fake one from CUTIS’s kitchen decoration. When he realized the plastic wouldn’t open, he bit it—hard.

“AAAHHH! This banana broken!” he shouted, throwing it in the air.

CUTIS spun around, half laughing, half horrified. “Miko! That’s not real!”

The ducks quacked loudly as the plastic banana bounced off the table. CUTIS couldn’t stop laughing, tears rolling down his face. “Okay, okay,” he said between chuckles. “Maybe next time, I’ll teach the monkey something new.

🍉 Lesson Two: The Watermelon Wreck

After recovering from the banana fiasco, CUTIS handed Miko a small spoon. “Now, we scoop out watermelon. Gently, like this.”

He demonstrated, gracefully scooping a neat ball of red fruit.

Miko nodded, focused like a surgeon. “I can do that!”

He dug the spoon in—once, twice, then decided to use both hands. He scooped so hard that watermelon flew everywhere. Pieces landed on CUTIS’s face, the ducks, and even Mom Monkey, who was watching from the porch.

“MIKO!” CUTIS laughed, wiping juice from his hair. “You’re supposed to scoop, not explode it!”

Miko’s mouth was already full of watermelon. “Oops. My bad.”

Mom Monkey giggled. “Well, at least he likes his own cooking.”

CUTIS sighed dramatically, but he couldn’t help smiling. “Okay, okay. Let’s clean up and move to the next lesson.”

🍎 Lesson Three: The Great Apple Mystery

CUTIS thought this part would be simple. “Miko,” he said, “use this knife—carefully—to slice the apple.”

He handed Miko a blunt butter knife, nothing dangerous. But Miko stared at it like it was a puzzle. He turned it upside down, poked the apple, and finally said, “This spoon broken!”

CUTIS burst out laughing. “It’s not a spoon, silly! It’s a knife!”

“Knife?” Miko frowned. “Doesn’t cut!”

CUTIS chuckled. “It’s not sharp, so you can practice safely.”

But Miko was determined. He smacked the apple with the flat side so hard it rolled off the table, hit the goat, and bounced into the duck pond. The ducks quacked angrily as the apple floated away like a tiny boat.

CUTIS had to hold his stomach from laughing. “Oh Miko,” he said between giggles, “remind me next time not to teach you fruit cutting!”

Miko puffed up his cheeks. “Not my fault apple run away!”

🥣 Lesson Four: Mixing Madness

After surviving bananas, watermelon, and apples, CUTIS decided to let Miko mix everything together. “Alright,” he said, “just stir the fruit gently.”

Miko nodded confidently, grabbed the spoon, and began stirring.

At first, everything went well. Then he started stirring faster… and faster… and faster. Pieces of fruit started flying like confetti.

Mom Monkey ducked behind a chair. The ducks ran in circles. The goat bleated in protest.

CUTIS shouted, “MIKO, STOP!”

But Miko just laughed, spinning the spoon like a helicopter. “LOOK, CUTIS! RAINBOW FRUIT!”

By the time CUTIS stopped him, the table was a disaster zone. Fruit was everywhere—on the ground, on CUTIS’s shirt, even hanging from Miko’s ear.

CUTIS looked around at the mess and sighed, half exasperated, half amused. “You know what?” he said, shaking his head. “Next time… maybe we’ll just stick to washing dishes.”

Miko, licking watermelon juice off his fingers, grinned. “See? I told you I can cook!”

🌤 The Aftermath

After cleaning up, CUTIS and Miko sat under the tree, eating what little fruit was left. The ducks gathered around, hoping for leftovers. Mom Monkey brought a pitcher of coconut water and smiled at the two messy boys.

CUTIS looked at Miko and laughed softly. “You know, Miko… every time I try to teach you something, it ends in chaos.”

Miko tilted his head. “That’s good, right?”

CUTIS grinned. “Actually, yes. Because chaos with you is always fun.”

Miko laughed so hard he almost spilled his bowl. “Then next time, teach me more!”

CUTIS pretended to groan. “Next time? Maybe something safer, like… folding napkins!”

“Or flying kite!” Miko shouted.

CUTIS smiled. “Flying kite sounds safer than cooking. We’ll do that.”

“YAY!” Miko clapped his hands. “But no spiders this time, okay?”

CUTIS burst out laughing. “Deal!”

🌈 Evening Comes

As the sun dipped behind the hills, the sky turned pink and orange. CUTIS and Miko sat together, watching the ducks waddle home. The mess of the day didn’t matter anymore—it was just another memory in their endless collection of silly adventures.

CUTIS put his arm around the little monkey. “You know, Miko,” he said softly, “you might be the funniest student in the world.”

Miko leaned against him, eyes half-closed. “And you’re the best teacher. Even when we mess up.”

CUTIS smiled warmly. “That’s what makes it perfect. We learn, we laugh, and we try again.”

The night grew quiet, the stars began to sparkle, and the two friends sat there, tired but happy.

Then Miko suddenly whispered, “CUTIS… next time, can we learn how to bake cake?”

CUTIS froze. “Cake?!”

Miko nodded eagerly. “With fire!”

CUTIS groaned and laughed at the same time. “Oh no, no fire for you yet! Maybe next time… we’ll teach the monkey something safe and new!

And from the porch, Mom Monkey giggled softly, shaking her head. “You boys never learn—but that’s what makes you both special.”

The stars twinkled above as CUTIS and Miko laughed together, planning tomorrow’s mischief. Whatever they tried next—one thing was sure: it would never go as planned… but it would always be full of fun, laughter, and love.
