Glen Rogers addressed his victims’ families in a harrowing statement before his execution
An infamous death row inmate had some chilling final words for his victims’ families before mentioning Donald Trump in a ‘confusing’ statement.
Glen Rogers, a self-proclaimed ‘serial killer’, was on death row for almost 30 years before his execution on Thursday (May 15).
The 62-year-old died by lethal injection at Florida State Prison after he was convicted of murdering two moms in 1995, though he allegedly told cops he was responsible for murdering around 70 people throughout his life.
The notorious killer opted for pizza, chocolate cake and a soda for his final meal, according to Daily Star, and his last words sparked ‘confusion’ and had a chilling effect on all those present at his execution, including his victims’ families.

What were Glen Rogers’ last words?
Moments before his execution, Rogers gave a strange shout-out to the president, saying: “President Trump, keep making America great.”
“I’m ready to go,” he added.
Rogers also thanked his wife, who had visited him earlier that day in prison.
Randy Roberson, whose mom Andy Lou Jiles Sutton was a victim of the so-called ‘Casanova killer’, witnessed the execution and said the Trump comment caused confusion in the room.
“I was like, ‘Where did that even come from?'” he said, reports USA Today.
His wife, Amy Roberson, added she thought: “What the hell?”
But before his apparent praise of the POTUS, Rogers also spoke to his victims’ families directly.
He said: “I know there’s a lot of questions that you need answers to. I promise you in the near future the questions will be answered and I hope in someway will bring you closure.”
Rogers, who was given the moniker for his apparent good looks and blonde hair that helped him to seduce his female victims, was also dubbed the ‘Cross Country Killer’ as his victims all lived in different states – California, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida.

What were Glen Rogers’ crimes?
He was first sentenced to death in 1997 for the first-degree murder of 34-year-old Tina Marie Cribbs, as well as armed robbery and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
Rogers met the mom-of-two in a bar in Tampa and convinced her to drive him home, after which he stabbed her to death.
Her lifeless body was found in the bathtub of a motel room while police tracked him down in a highway chase in Kentucky while he was driving her stolen car.
Rogers then received another death sentence in California in 1999 for the strangulation of Sandra Gallagher, 33, whom he had also met at a bar in Van Nuys.
The badly burnt corpse of the mom-of-three was found near his apartment in her burning car.
He was also accused of the murder of Mark Peters, a 72-year-old retired electrician in Ohio, who was found dead in a shack owned by Rogers’ family in 1994.
Linda Price, 34 and another mom-of-two, was stabbed to death in the bathtub of her home in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1995.

And Sutton, whose son attended Rogers’ execution, was a 37-year-old mom-of-four to a 19, 17, eight and six-year-old when Rogers stabbed her to death in her bed in 1995 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
“He’s an animal,” one of Rogers’ victims’ sisters said in court before his sentencing, according to an archived report from the Associated Press. “He’s about the evilest thing I think I’ve ever imagined.”
In a 2012 documentary, My Brother the Serial Killer, his brother Clay claimed Rogers was also responsible for the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson, O.J. Simpson‘s ex-wife and her friend, Ron Goldman, though the Los Angeles Police Department dismissed the claim, according to Fox News.
Rogers was pronounced dead at 6:16pm on May 15, becoming the fifth inmate to be executed by the state of Florida this year and the 16th overall across the US.Featured Image Credit: Florida Department of Corrections/FOX 13 Tampa Bay

On April 6, 1997, Ford invited his co-worker Gregory on a fishing trip to South Florida Sod Farm, in Punta Gorda – a city to the southwest of Florida, with the 25-year-old bringing his 26-year-old wife Kimberley and their 22-month baby Maranda along with them.
When they arrived at the farm they were met with a gun-wielding Ford, who shot Gregory in the head with a rifle before hitting him over the head with what was presumed to be a blunt weapon, and then slit his throat.
Kimberly was injured by Ford during the ordeal but managed to escape with her baby in their truck but was tragically tracked down by Ford who raped her, beat her before executing her in front of her daughter.
Fortunately, their toddler was unharmed by Ford, although she had her mom’s blood on her when she was found dehydrated with insect bites on her more than 18 hours later, still inside the truck.
Now, after serving 26 years on death row 64-year-old Ford was pronounced dead at 6.19pm ET, at the Florida State Prison in Raiford.

In his final written statement, prison staff told WWSB that he wrote: “Hugs Prayers Love!!! God Bless everyone!!!!”
For his last meal he requested steak, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato, with a dessert of pumpkin pie, and sweet tea.
Speaking to reporters at the execution, Gregory’s mom Connie Ankney said: “This is the day for final justice for Kim and Greg. I hope he burns in hell.”
Meanwhile, the Malnory’s surviving daughter Maranda also spoke out following the execution of her parent’s murderer.
“I told one of my grandmas the other day you grieve the people you knew,” she told Gulf Coast News. “But I grieve what could have been.
“Technically, my worst enemy is the person who did this. But I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.”
Maranda was 13 years old when she was finally told why her parents weren’t with her anymore, and exactly how they died.
Taking to Facebook, she added: “I love you forever mommy and daddy!”

Chilling last words of death row inmate jailed for brutal murder before being executed by nitrogen gas
Demetrius Terrence Frazier was executed in Birmingham, Alabama, on February 6
Demetrius Terrence Frazier’s final words have been revealed after the convicted murderer was executed.
Frazier was killed by nitrogen gas yesterday (February 6) in Birmingham, Alabama – making him the fourth person in the state to be executed this way.
Frazier, 52, was sentenced to death after being found guilty of the rape and murder of Pauline Brown in 1991.
Just two months before Brown’s death, Frazier had raped another woman in Detroit, Michigan.

Then, in 1992, he was tried for the murder of 14-year-old Crystal Kendrick, whom he’d also tried to rape. He ended up murdering the teenager after she tried to flee.
Frazier had been serving a life sentence in Michigan for Kendrick’s murder, and when he’d been arrested for the teen’s killing, Frazier was facing 35 pending felonies, as per USA Today.
His criminal history dated back to when he was a child. As a juvenile, he was reportedly charged with carrying a concealed weapon, violating probation for breaking and entering, and violation of probation for carrying a concealed weapon.
It was while he was being questioned about Kendrick’s 1992 murder that Frazier admitted to killing Brown.
He went on to be convicted of three counts of capital murder and he was sentenced to death by an Alabama jury.

Frazier was first held in Michigan, where he was serving a life sentence for Kendrick’s death, but was moved to an Alabama facility in 2011 where he was placed on death row.
Over 10 years later and Frazier was executed yesterday. He had requested that he died by nitrogen gas.
Speaking before he was put to death, the convicted rapist and murderer apologized to Brown’s family.
“First of all, I want to apologize to the friends and family of Pauline Brown, what happened to her should never have happened,” Frazier said.
He added, the Alabama Reflector reports: “I want to apologize to the Black community.”

Frazier then shifted his attention to Michigan Goveor Gretchen Whitmer for not intervening with his case. There had been calls for him to remain in Michigan to serve his life sentence, instead of being executed in Alabama.
In a question aimed at Whitmer, he said: “If you cannot stand up for the constitution of Michigan, how are you going to stand up for the US Constitution when you run for president?”
Some of his final words were: “Detroit strong. I love everyone on death row. Let’s go.”

Death row inmate who murdered two has haunting final words to victims’ families before being executed by lethal injection
Texas has executed Richard Lee Tabler by lethal injection after he was found guilty of the murders of two people
Texas death row inmate Richard Lee Tabler reflected on his ‘actions’ to relatives of two people he killed moments before being executed by lethal injection.
On Thanksgiving in 2004, Mohammed-Amine Rahmouni, 28, and Haitham Zayed, 25 were fatally shot by Richard Lee Tabler in a remote area near Killeen, Texas.
And yesterday (February 13), Tabler, now 46, was executed by lethal injection at Huntsville’s state penitentiary, directing some of his final words to the families of the two victims as they stood watching the execution from a window.

Tabler worked at TeaZers – a strip club managed by Rahmouni – however, he was later banned from the establishment.
Police state Tabler got a friend involved and lured Rahmouni and Zayed out, before shooting them while they were in a car before dragging Rahmouni out and shooting him again, getting his friend to record him doing so.
Tabler confessed to the murders and later also confessed to killing two girls who worked at the club – Tiffany Dotson, 18, and Amanda Benefield, 16 – out of fear they would reveal he had killed Rahmouni and Zayed. However, he later denied killing the girls and was ultimately never tried in connection to their deaths.
Found guilty in the murders of Rahmouni and Zayed, Tabler was handed the death sentence. He repeatedly appealed his sentence, CBS News reports, but then ordered the courts to drop his appeal and for him to be put to death.
It was questioned whether Tabler was of sound mind given he attempted suicide twice while in prison, however, after what would be his final execution date was set, he wrote to the state Court of Criminal Appeals on December 9 last year: “Petitioner has spent the last twenty years in the Courts, and see’s no point in wasting this Court’s time, nor anyone else’s.”
During his execution yesterday, Tabler is reported as directing part of his final words towards the victims’ families while strapped to the death chamber gurney, stating: “There is not a day that goes by that I don’t regret my actions.”

He continued: “I had no right to take your loved ones from you, and I ask and pray, hope and pray, that one day you find it in your hearts to forgive me for those actions.
“No amount of my apologies will ever return them to you.”
Tabler also thanked prison officials for giving him ‘the opportunity to show [them] that [he] can change and become a better man and rehabilitate’.
He also expressed his love for his family and friends before apologizing repeatedly as the drugs began to be administered – his time of death recorded as 6:38 p.m. CST.
Senior counsel at the ACLU’s Capital Punishment Project, Claudia Van Wyk, said in a statement ahead of Tabler’s execution: “Today, Texas plans to execute a man who spent the last two decades proving his capacity for growth, remorse, and redemption.

“Those who know Richard know that he is not the same person who was sentenced to death – he has transformed into a mentor and source of support for those around him.
“Richard has used his time on death row to reflect, create, and better himself. We are deeply saddened that Richard will be denied the chance to continue his growth and serve as a mentor to others. He will be missed by many, both inside and outside of prison, and our thoughts are with his loved ones.”
During Tabler’s execution, Dotson’s father, George, and godfather, Tom Newton, were present.
Newton voiced: “Today is for Tiffany. And this is justice.”Featured Image Credit: Texas Department of Criminal Justice/FRANCOIS PICARD/Getty

Final words of death row inmate who died in South Carolina’s first ever execution by firing squad
Having brutally beat David and Gladys Larke to death with a baseball bat 23 years ago, Brad Sigmon has finally completed his death sentence
A death row inmate has become the first person in 15 years to die by way of firing squad, and he’s only the fourth since 1976.
Brad Sigmon completed his sentence yesterday (March 7), as three state corrections department volunteers unloaded simultaneously a round of 100-grain TAP Urban bullet each from their .308-caliber Winchester rifles.

The convicted double murderer became the 1,613th person to die by way of execution in the US since 1977, and in his final words, the 67-year-old preached that the bible doesn’t condone the killing of another person.
Sigmon, who brutally beat his ex-girlfriend’s parents to death with a baseball bat back in 2002, cited four quotes from the Bible in an attempt to underline his point that the New Testament doesn’t permit the killing of ‘another man’.
“I want my closing statement to be one of love and a calling to my fellow Christians to help us end the death penalty,” read aloud his attorney from his statement.

Brad Sigmon was on death row for over two decades (South Carolina Department of Corrections)
“An eye for an eye was used as justification to the jury for seeking the death penalty. At that time, I was too ignorant to know how wrong that was. Why? Because we no longer live under the Old Testament law but now live under the New Testament.”
Concluding with: “We are not under God’s grace and mercy.”
For his execution, which took place inside the death chamber at Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia, Sigmon was hooded and wore a black jumpsuit with a target placed over his heart, and was shot while strapped to a metal chair that was sat on a catch basin.
At 6.05pm, the volunteers, who were positioned 15 feet away and hidden from the viewing area, unloaded on him. A doctor then examined him for about a minute and a half before declaring him dead at 6.08pm.

The man served 23 years on death row for the killing of David and Gladys Larke – who he chose to murder after their daughter broke up with him a week before.
Following his guilty conviction, Sigmon was handed two life sentences in addition to a 30-year jail term for first-degree burglary.
While his lawyers attempted to have Sigmon be held behind bars for the rest of his life, a jury ultimately decided to sentence him to death.
