In the sunny corners of the forest, where laughter and mischief filled the air, CUTIS and the baby monkey were known as the most inseparable pair. Wherever CUTIS went, the baby was right behind him β clinging to his back, tugging on his tail, or mimicking every little thing he did. They were like brothers, best friends, and sometimes… rivals!
It all began one fine morning when the sun painted the leaves golden and the birds chirped their happiest tunes. CUTIS had found a ripe mango hanging from a low branch β the juiciest one of the season. He plucked it carefully, sniffed it, and his mouth watered immediately. βAh, this oneβs all mine,β he thought proudly.
But just as he sat down to enjoy his sweet prize, the baby monkey appeared out of nowhere β with those big sparkling eyes and an innocent grin that melted everyoneβs heart. The baby waddled over, holding out its tiny hands, chirping in soft, pleading sounds.
CUTIS looked down at the mango, then at the baby. He sighed. The baby was adorable β too adorable to say no to. But today, CUTIS was hungry. He had climbed trees, dodged ants, and searched half the morning for this mango. Surely he deserved it, right?
He turned his back, shielding the mango. βNot this time,β he seemed to say.
The babyβs eyes widened. βNot share?β The babyβs face changed from cute to confusedβ¦ and then to angry. It puffed up its cheeks and let out a tiny squeak of protest. CUTIS tried to ignore it, but the baby wasnβt about to give up so easily.
In one quick move, the baby lunged at him β trying to snatch the mango! CUTIS jumped back, shocked. The chase was on! ππ

Around the banana trees they ran β CUTIS clutching the mango tightly while the baby scampered after him, squealing and flapping its little arms. The older monkeys nearby couldnβt stop laughing at the hilarious scene. Even OG and ToTo, CUTISβs closest friends, were rolling on the ground with laughter.
βLook at those two!β OG chuckled. βItβs a mango war!β
CUTIS climbed up the nearest tree, thinking he was safe. He perched on a high branch and started eating, savoring every bite dramatically. βMmmβ¦ so sweet,β his expression teased. The baby, sitting below, crossed its arms and pouted. Its tiny face was full of attitude.
A few moments passed β then the baby had an idea. It spotted a stick on the ground, picked it up, and started tapping the tree trunk repeatedly, as if to say, βCome down here right now!β CUTIS looked down, amused but slightly worried. The baby wasnβt giving up.
After a few failed attempts to scare CUTIS down, the baby changed tactics. It sat under the tree and pretended to cry β big dramatic cries, with head shaking and hands covering its face. CUTIS peeked down and froze. βOh no,β he thought. βWhat have I done?β
Feeling guilty, he climbed halfway down and leaned closer to check on the little one. And thatβs when β WHACK! The baby threw a small fruit right at his face! SPLAT!
CUTISβs mouth dropped open, and the baby squealed with mischievous laughter. The tables had turned! Now it was CUTISβs turn to frown and puff up his cheeks. He leapt down and started chasing the little rascal through the grass.
Back and forth they went β around logs, through bushes, and even over ToToβs tail. The baby squeaked with laughter as CUTIS tried to grab it. At one point, they both tripped over a pile of leaves and rolled together, tumbling like a pair of furballs. When they finally stopped, both were covered in leaves and dust, staring at each other β faces only inches apart.

For a second, it was total silence. Then, CUTIS sneezed. The baby giggled uncontrollably. CUTIS couldnβt help but laugh too.
βFine,β CUTIS grunted playfully, handing the baby the last piece of mango. The baby accepted proudly, munching on it with a satisfied grin. CUTIS shook his head, pretending to be annoyed but secretly smiling.
Just when peace seemed restored, the baby tried to offer CUTIS a bite back β but instead of giving it gently, it squished the mango into his face! The pulp dripped down CUTISβs nose.
The entire troop erupted in laughter! OG clapped his hands while ToTo rolled on the ground, kicking his legs in delight. CUTIS just stood there, face dripping with mango, staring in disbelief.
βYou little troublemaker,β he muttered, trying not to laugh.
The baby squealed proudly and raised its tiny hands in victory. CUTIS pretended to chase it again, but this time, it was all in fun. The two wrestled and rolled, playfully tugging at each otherβs fur. Their earlier anger was completely forgotten, replaced with laughter and love.

Later that afternoon, the troop gathered by the stream to drink water and cool off. CUTIS and the baby sat side by side, splashing water at each other. CUTIS dipped his hands in and flicked droplets onto the babyβs face. The baby retaliated by splashing a huge handful of water straight into CUTISβs chest!
βAlright, you win!β CUTIS laughed, shaking off the water. The baby danced around him, chirping happily, tail wagging like an excited puppy.
Then, as the sun began to set and the forest turned golden again, the two sat quietly together. The baby leaned against CUTIS, tired but happy. CUTIS gently brushed off a few leaves from its fur and smiled softly.
They may have their little fights β over food, toys, or attention β but they were family. And family always forgives, even after mango battles.
The funny part was that their quarrels never lasted long. The next morning, CUTIS woke up to find the baby already sitting on his chest, poking his nose to wake him up. When CUTIS opened one eye, the baby immediately offered him a half-eaten fruit as if saying, βTruce?β
CUTIS chuckled, took the fruit, and gave the baby a gentle pat on the head. βDeal,β his eyes seemed to say.
And just like that, they were back to their old selves β laughing, chasing, and causing chaos together.

From then on, the troop often teased them. Whenever CUTIS tried to enjoy food alone, someone would call out, βCareful, or the baby will attack again!β CUTIS would roll his eyes, while the baby clapped happily, not realizing it was the cause of all the jokes.
But secretly, CUTIS didnβt mind. Life was brighter with that little rascal around. Their silly fights, their laughter, their friendship β it was what made every day in the forest feel alive.
Sometimes, itβs those funny little quarrels that bring hearts closer. CUTIS and the baby monkey showed that even in the middle of chaos, love finds a way to sneak in β through laughter, mischief, and a bit of mango on the face.
And as the sun dipped behind the trees, the two were once again seen cuddled up on a branch, the baby snoring softly while CUTIS watched over it with a tired but happy smile.
The day that began with an argument ended with peace, proving one thing for sure β even the funniest fights can turn into the sweetest memories. ππβ€οΈ
