Bittersweet CUTIS Incident Babysitting for Mom

It was a bright Sunday morning, and the golden rays of sunlight danced through the window of CUTIS’s home. CUTIS, the cheerful farmer known for his big heart and even bigger sense of humor, was preparing for an unusual day — he was going to babysit for his mom. But this wasn’t just any babysitting job. It involved a curious, hyper little baby monkey named Lulu who had the energy of five kids combined.

Mom had to run to the market early to sell fresh vegetables, and she trusted her beloved son CUTIS to look after Lulu for the whole day. “It’s just for a few hours,” Mom said, tying her hair up and smiling. “Make sure Lulu doesn’t get into trouble, and don’t let her climb into the kitchen again!”

CUTIS grinned, confident as ever. “No problem, Mom! I’m a pro now. Lulu loves me.”

Mom gave him a skeptical look — the last time CUTIS had babysat, Lulu had pulled every banana out of the basket and “shared” them with the chickens. But today, CUTIS promised it would be different. He even had a plan.

Morning Mischief 🌞🐒

Lulu was sitting on the porch, swinging her tiny feet, holding her milk bottle, and humming in her baby-monkey way. CUTIS walked over with his big straw hat and a playful smile.

“Good morning, my little princess! Ready for a fun day with Uncle CUTIS?” he teased.

Lulu clapped her hands and squealed. “Eee-eee!”

CUTIS took that as a yes. He started by preparing breakfast — bananas, milk, and a little rice porridge. But the moment he turned around to grab a spoon, Lulu had already dipped both her hands into the bowl. She smeared porridge all over her face and then looked proudly at CUTIS as if she had just made art.

“LULU!” CUTIS gasped, trying not to laugh. “You look like a porridge ghost!”

Instead of cleaning up, Lulu giggled and decided to “share” her masterpiece — she reached out and patted CUTIS’s cheek, leaving a sticky white mark.

“Oh no, now I’m a ghost too!” he said dramatically, making Lulu laugh so hard she rolled onto her back, kicking her legs in delight.

The Great Laundry Catastrophe 😂👕

After breakfast, CUTIS decided to hang out the laundry. He took the basket of wet clothes to the yard and told Lulu, “Stay here, little one. Don’t move, okay?”

Of course, those words meant nothing to a baby monkey.

As soon as CUTIS turned his back, Lulu spotted a shiny blue shirt hanging on the line. The breeze made it sway, and she thought it was waving hello. Without a second thought, she climbed the pole, grabbed the shirt, and—SNAP!—the line came down, dropping every piece of clothing into the dirt.

CUTIS turned around just in time to see Lulu swinging proudly with his favorite shirt like a tiny Tarzan.

“LULU! My clean laundry!”

Lulu squeaked in delight, as if showing him how “helpful” she was. CUTIS sighed, holding his forehead. “Mom’s going to think a tornado came through here.”

But he couldn’t stay mad. Lulu’s innocent grin, with bits of porridge still stuck in her fur, melted his frustration instantly. “Alright, alright. Come here, you little troublemaker,” he said, scooping her up and tickling her belly until she squealed again.

The Bath Time Battle 🛁🐵

After the laundry disaster, CUTIS decided Lulu needed a bath.

He filled a small tub with warm water, added a splash of baby soap, and placed Lulu gently inside. At first, everything seemed peaceful. She splashed a little, played with the bubbles… and then she spotted the shampoo bottle.

Before CUTIS could react, she squeezed it—squirt!—and covered her head in foamy bubbles. Then, giggling wildly, she tried to shampoo him!

“Lulu, nooo!” CUTIS laughed, ducking as a handful of bubbles landed on his hat. The more he tried to wash her, the more playful she became. Within minutes, the yard was a soapy battlefield — bubbles flying everywhere, CUTIS slipping on wet tiles, and Lulu squealing like she’d won a game show.

Finally, after twenty exhausting minutes, CUTIS wrapped her in a towel. “You win, Miss Bubble Queen,” he said with a laugh. “I give up.”

Lulu hugged his neck, her little tail wrapping around his arm. She was clean, warm, and satisfied. CUTIS felt his heart melt a little — even if she was chaos wrapped in fur, she was also impossibly sweet.

Afternoon Adventure 🌴🍌

When lunchtime came, CUTIS decided to cook a simple meal. He gave Lulu a banana to keep her busy. But of course, one banana wasn’t enough.

While CUTIS was busy frying rice, Lulu spotted the fruit basket on the counter. She quietly climbed up, grabbed three more bananas, and tried to hide them behind her back.

CUTIS turned around, hands on hips. “Lulu… what do you have there?”

She blinked innocently and tried to whistle — badly.

“Let me see your hands.”

She slowly revealed one banana. CUTIS arched a brow. “And the other hand?”

Another banana.

CUTIS sighed, pretending to be serious. “Lulu, we talked about this.”

But before he could continue, Lulu broke the tension by peeling one and feeding him a piece. CUTIS couldn’t help laughing. “Okay, truce,” he said, munching the banana.

The two sat together on the porch after lunch, watching butterflies flutter over the flowers. CUTIS leaned back, tired but happy. Babysitting was tougher than farming sometimes — but the laughter made it worth it.

The Bittersweet Ending 💗

When Mom finally returned in the late afternoon, she was surprised to see the state of the yard. Laundry scattered, water puddles everywhere, a faint banana smell in the air — and CUTIS asleep on the porch, Lulu curled up on his chest like a baby.

Mom covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. “Oh, my poor boy,” she whispered.

CUTIS opened one eye. “Mom… you’re back. Mission… accomplished,” he mumbled sleepily.

Lulu stirred and yawned, then reached for Mom, clinging to her shirt. Mom smiled, giving her a gentle kiss. “Thank you for watching her, CUTIS. You did well.”

CUTIS sat up, scratching his head. “Well? I think I lost the laundry, half the soap, and maybe my sanity.”

Mom chuckled. “But you gained her love. Look — she doesn’t want to let go of you.”

Lulu hugged CUTIS’s arm tightly and refused to move. CUTIS smiled softly, realizing how much fun — and love — the day had brought.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, he carried Lulu back to her little bed. She fell asleep instantly, snuggling into her blanket. CUTIS looked at her peaceful face and whispered, “You’re a handful, little one… but you’re my favorite handful.”

He tiptoed out, closed the door, and sat down next to his mom with a tired grin.

“Next time,” Mom teased, “still want to babysit?”

CUTIS laughed. “Only if there’s hazard pay — and maybe a banana bonus.”

They both burst into laughter, the sound mixing with the evening breeze. It had been a messy, exhausting, hilarious day — one full of trouble, laughter, and love.

And as CUTIS looked back at Lulu’s sleeping face, he realized that even the craziest moments could be bittersweet — a little chaos, a little tenderness, and a lot of unforgettable joy.
