Two years ago, we hit the “upload” button on something that would forever change the way we made people laugh: The Lemonade Stand. It was our very first skit—something simple, sweet, and a little bit chaotic. What started as a silly idea on a summer afternoon turned into the launchpad for a whole series of hilarious skits. But even now, two years and dozens of videos later, The Lemonade Stand still holds a special place in our hearts—and in the hearts of our viewers.

The real star of the show? Our golden retriever.
At the time, we weren’t thinking of going viral. We just thought it’d be funny to film a golden retriever trying to “run” a lemonade stand. You know—serving customers with a wagging tail, wearing a sun hat and sunglasses, and somehow managing to spill lemonade all over everything except the cups. He even tried to eat the lemons. Multiple takes were ruined because he kept grabbing them and running off like it was fetch time.
We called it “That’s One Way to Make Lemonade” because, well… it really was. The scene where he tried to squeeze the lemon by sitting on it? Unscripted. The moment he dunked his whole face in the pitcher? Not planned. But those were the moments that made it gold—both literally and comedically.

The skit went semi-viral within a few days. Comments poured in: “This dog’s a better entrepreneur than me,” “I’d buy lemonade from him any day,” and “Protect this golden angel at all costs.” It was clear we weren’t the only ones who fell in love with the goofy charm of our furry friend.

Since then, we’ve produced plenty of skits—from a doggy cooking show to a fake courtroom drama starring our cat as the judge—but nothing quite matched the magic of that first lemonade stand. Maybe it was the simplicity. Or maybe it was just the joy of a golden retriever being his silly self, doing his best to make lemonade… and a mess.
What The Lemonade Stand taught us is that sometimes the best content comes from being genuine. Not everything has to be polished or perfect. Our golden retriever wasn’t trained to act—he just reacted. And it worked. His floppy ears, curious nose, and lovable personality did all the talking.
Looking back, it’s funny to think that a simple skit with a dog, a few lemons, and a cardboard stand would become such a huge part of our creative journey. It paved the way for so many other ideas, gave us the confidence to keep creating, and brought joy to more people than we ever imagined.
So yes, that’s one way to make lemonade—with fur, fluff, and a whole lot of heart.
And if you’re wondering, the stand is still in our garage. We kept it, of course. Iconic things deserve to be remembered.
