This is the newest and most modern aqua park in the western part of Romania and is located about 2.5 hours drive from Novi Sad and the same from Belgrade.
We heard that the aqua park offers various facilities so we came to see for ourselves what it looks like.
Inside the complex itself there are indoor and outdoor pools, a children’s section, saunas, massages, restaurants, terraces, bars, as well as a medical rehabilitation clinic.
We were delighted with the facilities for children, the size of the room and the quality of the food for dinner. Timisoara as a city also has its own charm so spending a few days here is really worth it❤️
We had heard great things about Amazonia Aquapark in Timisoara, and with the weather finally warming up, it felt like the perfect weekend getaway. Nestled in the heart of western Romania, just a short 2.5-hour drive from both Novi Sad and Belgrade, this brand-new aqua park has been creating quite a buzz—and we were eager to see what all the excitement was about.
As we pulled up to the entrance, we were immediately struck by the park’s sleek and modern architecture. It felt more like entering a stylish resort than a water park. Everything looked brand new, and the staff greeted us with warm smiles, which set the tone for what turned out to be a truly fun-filled and relaxing day.
One of the first things we noticed was the wide range of facilities. Amazonia truly seems designed for everyone—families, couples, groups of friends, and even solo travelers. There’s a large indoor area, so the fun doesn’t stop even if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Inside, we found several heated pools, relaxing jacuzzis, and saunas that felt more like a spa retreat than a traditional water park.
Of course, the main attraction is the outdoor water zone. With twisting slides, wave pools, and splash areas, we couldn’t help but feel like kids again. There are slides for all ages—from gentle ones for younger children to adrenaline-pumping rides for thrill-seekers. The wave pool was one of our favorites—it felt like being at the beach without having to leave the city.
We were also impressed with the attention to detail and cleanliness throughout the park. Everything felt well-organized and thoughtfully designed. There are plenty of sunbeds and shaded spots for relaxing, and we never had to wait long in line for any attraction. The entire facility has a modern, fresh look that makes you want to stay all day.
When hunger struck, we grabbed a bite at one of the on-site restaurants. The food options were varied and reasonably priced, with everything from snacks and burgers to healthier choices like salads and grilled dishes. The café area offered great coffee and smoothies—perfect for recharging after a swim.
For families with small children, there’s a dedicated kiddie zone with shallow pools and playful features. It was great to see how much thought was put into making the park safe and enjoyable for little ones.
In short, Amazonia Aquapark in Timisoara exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that a lot of planning and effort went into making it not just an aqua park, but a complete recreational experience. Whether you’re looking to relax, have fun, or both, it’s well worth the trip. We’re already planning our next visit—and we highly recommend adding it to your weekend escape list!
