It’s the most wonderful time of the year—well, almost! Even though it’s still early, we’ve decided to kick off Vlogmas ahead of schedule this year. We just couldn’t wait any longer. There’s something magical about the twinkle lights, the scent of cinnamon, and the joy of sharing little moments with all of you. So, welcome to our Early Vlogmas series, where we’re starting the holiday cheer a little early and inviting you right into the heart of our home and lives. 🎄✨

Getting Into the Vlogmas Spirit
Waking up this morning, the air already felt a little crisper. The trees in our backyard had just begun shedding their leaves, and the sun cast a soft golden glow through the windows. With mugs of peppermint hot cocoa in hand and Christmas playlists echoing from the speakers, we made the decision: today is the day we begin decorating for Christmas—and officially start Vlogmas!
Now, we know Vlogmas traditionally begins on December 1st, but we’re early birds when it comes to the holidays. Our calendar may say November, but our hearts are already jingling with excitement. It felt only right to bring you along for the ride.

Meet Our Friends!
Before diving into the decorations, we thought we’d introduce you to the people (and pets) who make our lives so special—our amazing friends who came over to help us turn our house into a holiday haven.
1. Emily & Jordan – Emily is my college roommate turned soul sister, and Jordan is her equally creative fiancé. They’re the kind of friends who always show up with homemade cookies and the best Spotify playlists. Emily’s eye for design is unmatched, and Jordan is the go-to guy for stringing lights and climbing ladders with no fear.
2. Zach – Our neighbor-turned-family. He’s the life of every gathering and always has a new gadget or drone to play with. Today, he brought over a projector for some “holiday vibes on the ceiling” magic.
3. Mia & Carlos – Our newlywed friends who radiate love and laughter. Mia is obsessed with Christmas crafts and came armed with glue guns, sparkly ribbons, and a mission to DIY everything. Carlos is quiet but has an impressive talent for setting up the perfect nativity scene. And, of course…
4. Daisy & Mochi – Our golden retriever Daisy and Emily’s little Frenchie, Mochi, are basically best doggie friends. Dressed in their holiday sweaters, they were the cutest decoration of all.
Having everyone over made decorating not just fun, but incredibly heartwarming. There’s nothing like the sound of friends laughing, cinnamon rolls baking, and carols playing in the background to bring a home to life.

Decking the Halls
We started in the living room, which is the centerpiece of our home. The giant Christmas tree, fresh from the local farm, stood proudly in the corner. We fluffed the branches and got to work. Emily led the ornament crew while I handed out the memory-filled decorations—some handmade, others from our travels. Each ornament had a story. The Eiffel Tower we got in Paris. A glittery snowflake from last year’s snowstorm. Even a tiny wooden house Carlos carved for us.
We used a mix of warm white and gold lights, layering them deep into the branches for that cozy, glowy look. Ribbons in plaid and velvet tied it all together. Jordan, of course, volunteered to put the star on top.
In the kitchen, we added garlands above the cabinets and swapped out our regular dish towels for festive red and green ones. Mia created a hot cocoa station, complete with candy canes, marshmallows, sprinkles, and flavored syrups. She even made tiny labels that said “Santa’s Favorite.” It looked like something straight out of Pinterest!
Next came the entryway, where we hung a fresh pine wreath (thank you, Zach, for bringing it!). We added lanterns, fairy lights, and a cheerful welcome mat that read “You Better Not Pout.”
Carlos took care of the fireplace mantle, arranging pinecones, miniature trees, and our personalized stockings. He even hid some battery-powered lights underneath, so it sparkled when the lights were low.
And of course, we didn’t forget the outside. The guys handled the lights around the roof while the rest of us wrapped the porch railing with garlands and hung up oversized red bows. Daisy supervised the entire process from her cozy blanket.

A Break with Cocoa and Laughter
After hours of decorating (and plenty of Christmas tunes), we took a much-needed break. Everyone gathered around the living room, sipping hot cocoa and nibbling on Emily’s famous gingerbread cookies. The dogs curled up on the couch, clearly proud of their hard day’s work barking at every passing car.
We turned on the fireplace, dimmed the lights, and watched the tree glow. It was one of those rare moments where everything felt just right. No rush, no stress—just laughter, friendship, and the comforting sense of being home.
We even filmed a little Q&A with our friends, asking them fun holiday questions like:
- What’s your favorite Christmas tradition?
- What’s the best (or worst) gift you’ve ever received?
- Eggnog: Yay or Nay?
Their answers were hilarious, sweet, and sometimes surprisingly emotional. It reminded us why we love making these vlogs—because they’re not just for YouTube views. They’re for us, too. For the memories. For the magic. For the joy of capturing life as it happens.

Wrapping Up the Day
As the sun began to set and the sky turned cotton-candy pink, we all stepped outside to see the house lit up for the first time this season. The lights twinkled, the wreath glowed, and even the mailbox had a little bow. It was beautiful—not just because of the decorations, but because of the love poured into every corner.
Everyone headed home, arms full of leftover cookies and Christmas cheer. I stood in the doorway for a moment, just taking it all in. This is what Early Vlogmas is all about—not perfection, not extravagance, but connection. The simple joy of sharing a home, a moment, a memory.
So if you’re reading this or watching the vlog, thank you for being here. We hope this little slice of our holiday world brings warmth to yours. Whether you’re decorating already or waiting until December, we’re wishing you all the joy, laughter, and coziness the season has to offer.
Stay tuned for more Vlogmas episodes—we’ve got baking, gift-wrapping hacks, movie nights, and maybe even a surprise or two coming your way.
Until then, from our home to yours: happy Early Vlogmas! 🎁❤️
