Bibi prepares ingredients to ask dad to cook chicken!

Bibi was an energetic little girl who loved spending time in the kitchen. She wasn’t quite old enough to cook on her own, but she adored helping her dad whenever he made delicious meals for the family. One day, Bibi had a big idea—she wanted her dad to cook a special chicken dish, but this time, she would be the one to prepare all the ingredients!

Her dad, a great cook with a warm smile, often told her, “Cooking is like magic, Bibi. Every ingredient adds something special to the dish.” Bibi thought about his words and decided she would prepare the most magical set of ingredients ever. She wanted the meal to be full of flavor and made with love.

Making a Plan

Before doing anything, Bibi took out a big piece of paper and her colored pencils. She wrote at the top: “Bibi’s Chicken Cooking Plan” and started drawing all the ingredients she thought they needed. She sketched a chicken, garlic, onions, carrots, and some herbs. She also added a tiny heart in the corner to remind herself that cooking was about love, just like her dad always said.

She marched into the kitchen, determined to gather everything. But where should she start? She decided to begin with the most important part—the chicken.

The Chicken Hunt

Bibi opened the fridge and spotted a whole chicken wrapped neatly on a plate. It looked big and fresh, perfect for cooking. But it was heavy! Carefully, she tried to lift it, but it was too slippery. “Oops!” she giggled, quickly steadying it with both hands. She managed to set it on the counter and grinned. “Step one, complete!”

Next, she needed to gather the seasonings. Her dad always used a special blend of spices to make the chicken taste amazing. She climbed up on her small stool to check the spice rack. There were so many bottles! She picked out salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. She wasn’t sure if she needed all of them, but she wanted to be ready.

Chopping the Vegetables

Now came the tricky part—vegetables. Bibi knew her dad loved using onions, garlic, and carrots in his chicken dishes. She grabbed an onion and held it up proudly. “This will make the chicken taste amazing!” she said.

She placed the onion on the cutting board and reached for a knife, but then she remembered what her dad always told her: “Knives are only for grown-ups.” So instead, she ran to find her dad in the living room.

“Daddy! I have everything ready, but I need you to chop the vegetables.”

Her dad smiled. “Wow, you’re really preparing everything, Bibi. Okay, let’s chop them together.”

Back in the kitchen, her dad peeled the onion and started chopping. As soon as he sliced into it, Bibi’s eyes started to water. “Oh no, the onion is making me cry!” she laughed, wiping her eyes.

Her dad chuckled. “That’s the onion’s way of saying it’s fresh and ready to add flavor!”

After the onion, they chopped garlic and carrots. The kitchen smelled amazing already!

Mixing the Magic

Now that they had all the ingredients ready, it was time for the fun part—mixing the magic. Bibi’s dad brought out a big bowl, and she poured in the seasonings. She mixed them carefully with her little fingers, feeling the texture of the salt and spices.

Her dad placed the chicken in the bowl, and Bibi watched as he rubbed the seasoning all over it. “It’s like giving the chicken a little massage!” she giggled.

They added some olive oil, lemon juice, and a handful of fresh herbs from their garden. The chicken looked beautiful, covered in colors and smelling delicious.

Cooking Time!

“Okay, Bibi, now we let the chicken rest while we heat up the oven,” her dad said.

Bibi bounced excitedly as her dad preheated the oven and prepared a baking tray. Together, they carefully placed the chicken in the tray, adding the chopped vegetables around it.

As the chicken cooked, the whole house started to smell incredible. Bibi’s stomach growled. “I can’t wait to eat it!”

Her dad smiled. “Good food takes time, Bibi. The best meals are made with patience.”

A Delicious Meal

Finally, after what felt like forever, the oven timer dinged. Her dad pulled out the golden-brown roasted chicken. It looked perfect!

Bibi helped set the table while her dad carved the chicken. They served it with warm rice and a little side of salad. When she took her first bite, her eyes lit up. “Daddy, this is the best chicken ever!”

Her dad smiled proudly. “That’s because you prepared everything with love, Bibi.”

Bibi grinned. She was so happy. Maybe next time, she would learn how to cook, too. But for now, she was just proud of being the best little ingredient-preparer in the world!
