Chrissy Teigen has admitted to drinking again after two years sober in a candid Instagram post.
The 39-year-old model and TV personality has been candid about her difficult relationship with alcohol.
The mom-of-four, who married singer John Legend in 2013, decided to go sober in 2021 and has gone on to celebrate milestones, including a whole year of abstinence in 2022.
However, Teigen took to social media this week ahead of the release of her ‘Self-Conscious’ podcast with guest, Holly Whitaker, stating she’s been worried about its publication for her frank admission she had started drinking again.
Writing in a lengthy Instagram post with a photo of her clutching Whitaker’s book, Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol, Teigen wrote: “Oh man. I’ve been dreading today’s podcast release since the moment we shot it.
“And that has nothing to do with my incredible guest – @holly. Holly Whitaker changed my life, changed my perspective and changed how I view the f***ing beast that is alcohol.”

She went on: “But to have to admit to all of you: I let it back into my life. To let a lot of you down, oh I feel it deeply. I was so proud every time one of you told me on the street that Holly and I made you want to rethink drinking, reframe drinking. I still am.
“The truth is, I don’t know what I’m doing.”
In her podcast episode with Whitaker, she clarified that she starting drinking again after two years sober, adding: “There was no big dramatic moment.
“It hasn’t really been an issue in the way that it was before, but I know deep down it still feels wrong.”
Talking about her rocky relationship with the booze in her Instagram post, she said she feels healthier and mentally better when sober, but she struggles to drink ‘just one’ without it turning into a binge.
Teigan, who shares children, Luna, nine, Miles, seven, Esti, two and Wren, one, with Legend, described how her relationship with alcohol can never be normal.
The star said: “I one hundred percent know I like me better sober. I one hundred percent know I get more done, I absolutely feel better in my body without it. And I am one hundred percent p****d that I can’t be normal and have a cocktail with my husband on vacay without it turning into 8 and feeling like s**t.
“I’m tired of throwing up on a Tuesday. I don’t wanna feel like I need a shot to talk to a crowd. I hate that the thought of maybe having a drink can consume me some days.”

The model added that her ‘messing up’ has ‘changed’ her ‘for the better’.
“I am deeply aware of where this can go if I let it,” Teigen penned.
As for the future, she has a plan – ‘to continue to be mindful with it.’
“I can go to a concert sober and have the greatest time ever. I can avoid absinthe at the Ren Faire and be so abbbbsolutely full of joy. Photos of my kid’s birthday parties are no longer me with bleary, sleepy drinking eyes. And I am proud of that.
“But I still know my relationship with alcohol just isn’t normal and never will be. Thank you for allowing me to figure it out openly in front of you all.
“Anyhow. This is for all the people who are figuring it out. And to the sober community, god I am still so, so proud of you. Until we meet again,” she concluded, with a crying face emoji.

Dozens have since rallied around her in response, including Whitaker who wrote in the comments: “Woweeee. Real talk: I did not know you were going to go here; we had two hours of content and you didn’t have to have this conversation and you did and you are so f**king brave for doing it.
“I think you are going to free so many people by sharing that it’s hard and not a perfect process, and that the whole thing.
“I just: so much love and admiration to for doing this, you did not have to but you probably saved a lot of people through doing it. SO MUCH love and admiration.”

Chrissy Teigen had to defend herself after her husband John Legend shared a video that left some people grossed out.
The celebrity couple are no strangers to showing their fans intimate moments.

Teigen and Legend – who have been married since September 2013 and share four children together – are often seen loved-up in real life as well as online.
However, in what was presumably a promotional video for the singer’s skincare brand had people focusing on the wrong thing.
Posting on his Instagram page on June 17, Legend shared a video of Teigen naked in the bath scrubbing herself.
Definitely a very intimate moment, but Teigen seemed to be into it, telling the camera she is taking all her body makeup off.

The clip then ends with a close up of one of Legend’s products, Loved 01 Exfoliating Cleanser.
He even captioned the video: “Sometimes you gotta exfoliate! @chrissyteigen’s favorite @loved01skin product.”
Certainly a little weird, as many people were simply questioning why they were seeing the music star’s wife naked in the bath.
But others couldn’t help but point out one detail that didn’t sit well with them – the color of the bath water.
The contents of the tub looked a very dirty, murky color.
“That dirty a** water wtf,” one person commented.
Another added: “I went str8 to the comments after seeing that water.”
While a third penned: “Damn. She need to let that dirty water drain before posing on social media.”

However, other social media users defended the stars and pointed out that Teigan explained it was her body makeup, not dirt.
The model even addressed the comments, writing: “The water is dirty because I’m getting my body makeup off, like I said in the video my sweet angels!”
“She literally says that she’s getting her body makeup off. That’s makeup. Not dirt. Some of ya’ll are special,” one defending user wrote.
Someone else commented: “She literally says, ‘I’m getting all my body makeup off’ and y’all are like ‘why is the water so dirty???’. Also this is a great way to promote his skincare line, Loved 1.”

So, regardless of how you feel about the video it seems to have done the trick and brought attention to the Legend’s skincare brand.
“I was today years old when I found out John Legend has a skincare brand,” one fan wrote.

The incredible bedrooms are every kids’ dream
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have shown off their kids’ incredible bedrooms. And I won’t lie, even though I’m an adult, I actually feel a bit envious.
The Grammy-winning singer, Legend and model/presenter, Teigen are proud parents to four children: Luna, Miles, Esti and Wren.
The couple recently took part in a video for Architectural Digest, where they gave fans a chance to see inside their stunning home – including a look at the bedrooms of seven-year-old Luna and Miles, aged five.

Legend explained that they came to the project with some ‘vague notes’ about what they wanted the spaces to look like, but ultimately left it in the capable hands of Architectural Digest 100 designer, Jake Arnold.
He said: “We just kind of gave Jake some vague notes about how we wanted the kids’ rooms to look and when he came back with drawings of what they were actually going to look like, I was like, ‘this is beyond anyone’s wildest dreams of what their bedroom should look like.’”
And he’s not wrong.

Luna’s bedroom is every little girl’s dream, finished in shades of pink and purple and featuring a slide that lands directly in a ball pit, glow-in-the dark stickers and even her own swing couch.
Describing the room, Legend explained: “She has a slide that she goes both up and down.”
With Tiegen cutting in: “Yes, mostly up these days. Her little kitchen with her Easy-Bake oven, a little swinging couch.

“She has a little beautiful nook up here that her and Miles will have little sleepovers in.”
The video then cuts to Miles’ room, which has a heavy car-theme throughout, prompting Legend to note: “Miles loves cars if you can’t tell.
“The center piece is of course the Jeep bunk bed, and then Miles has a cave over here where he can read.”
Much like his older sister’s room, Miles also has his own play area and even has a climbing wall right in his bedroom.

“There’s a little climbing wall in the corner where he can climb up that way to get up on the second little story of his nook and his cave,” Teigen said.
“Good storage for all of his dinosaurs. So many dinosaurs. They love looking down from the net up here.”
Naturally, the stunning room gets a big thumbs up from the youngsters, with Miles telling the camera: “Jake did a good job.”
