Mischievous Lala has many playful pranks that confuse Mom!

Lala was the kind of little girl who could never sit still. With bright eyes and a cheeky grin, she was always planning her next prank. At just six years old, Lala had already mastered the art of mischief. Her favorite target? Her sweet, patient, and often confused Mom.

One sunny morning, Mom came downstairs to find the cereal box in the fridge and the milk on the pantry shelf.

“Lala!” Mom called, eyebrows raised.

Lala skipped into the kitchen, pretending to be surprised. “Oh no! Did the food switch places while we were sleeping?”

Mom couldn’t help but laugh, even though she was scratching her head. “That cereal is going to get cold!”

Later that day, Lala filled Dad’s shoes with cotton balls and carefully placed them back by the door. When Mom went to check on the laundry, she heard Dad’s surprised shout, “Why are my shoes fluffy?”

Lala giggled from behind the sofa. “They wanted to be clouds!”

Mom shook her head with a smile. “That girl is too clever.”

Lala’s pranks weren’t mean—just silly and surprising. Like the time she put googly eyes on all the fruit in the fruit bowl. Mom went to grab a banana, only to jump when she saw a “face” looking back at her. She sighed, “Lala! These apples are watching me!”

One day, Mom was extra tired. She was cleaning the house and baking cookies, all while trying to fold laundry. That was when Lala struck again. She swapped all the folded socks with tiny dolls dressed in sock clothes.

When Mom opened the sock drawer and found tiny “sock people,” she sat down and laughed until she cried.

“Okay, sock soldiers,” she said, “you win today.”

Lala peeked in. “Do you like them, Mommy? They’re guarding your toes!”

But Lala wasn’t always successful. One time she tried to color the water in the toilet blue using food coloring. She thought it would be hilarious. But she used too much and accidentally dyed her hands a deep shade of blue. When Mom found her, Lala looked like a tiny Smurf.

“Did the toilet attack you?” Mom teased.

Lala pouted, “It was supposed to be funny!”

Mom cleaned her up and said, “Maybe stick to googly eyes next time.”

Despite all the tricks, Mom loved Lala’s imagination. It made their home a place full of giggles, even when things went a little crazy.

That night, as Mom tucked her in, she asked, “Lala, why do you play so many pranks on me?”

Lala grinned sleepily and whispered, “Because I love hearing you laugh, Mommy.”

Mom kissed her forehead. “Well, mission accomplished.”

From cereal confusion to sock soldiers, Lala’s pranks might keep Mom on her toes—but deep down, Mom wouldn’t change a thing. After all, life with mischievous Lala was full of surprises, and Mom secretly looked forward to the next one.

Even if it meant finding googly eyes on her toothbrush.
