Lala feels bored sleeping in bed so she takes a pillow to sleep in a new hammock!

Lala, the little golden dog with the softest fur and the most curious mind, had always slept in her cozy bed next to the window. It had fluffy sides, a soft pink blanket, and her favorite squeaky toy tucked in the corner. Every night, she would curl up like a cinnamon roll and drift off to sleep while the moonlight bathed the room.

But tonight was different.

Lala opened one eye, then the other. She sighed. She flipped to one side, then the other. Her bed didn’t feel fun anymore. It felt… boring. She had slept in it every night for as long as she could remember, and suddenly, it just didn’t feel exciting.

“I want something new,” she thought.

That’s when she remembered something Farmer Cutis had set up outside in the garden — a brand-new hammock! It swung gently between two trees, and every time the wind blew, it made a peaceful creaking sound. Lala had watched the birds sit on it in the morning and the cats jump in it during the day. But she had never tried it herself.

She jumped up, grabbed her favorite yellow pillow in her mouth, and tiptoed down the hallway. Everyone in the house was asleep. With a soft push of her paw, she opened the door and trotted out under the starry sky.

The night air was cool and refreshing. Crickets chirped, and the trees rustled softly in the breeze. The hammock swayed slightly as she approached, almost like it was inviting her in.

Lala carefully placed her pillow in the middle, wiggled her way onto the fabric, and tried to lie down. Whoa! The hammock wobbled under her weight, and she almost tumbled off.

She paused.

Then tried again — slower this time.

Finally, she found her balance and lay down, her head resting on the soft pillow. The hammock cradled her gently, rocking her side to side. She looked up at the stars. They twinkled like tiny night-lights just for her.

“Mmmm… this is perfect,” she sighed, her tail wagging slowly.

As she drifted off to sleep, Lala imagined she was floating on a cloud. In her dreams, she flew over fields of flowers, chased butterflies, and landed softly in nests made of feathers.

The next morning, Farmer Cutis came out with a cup of coffee and spotted the little dog still curled up in the hammock.

He laughed quietly. “Looks like someone found a new favorite bed.”

From that day on, the hammock became Lala’s special sleeping spot — not every night, but on the ones where the moon looked extra shiny and the wind whispered lullabies through the trees.

And her old bed? She still loved it. But sometimes, a change of scenery was all she needed to feel happy again.
